The setup for the party is pretty simple. Several coolers filled with ice for drinks (soda, bottled water, juice, assorted alcohol and mixers) with cups nearby, a food table with some cookies and cake from the bakery, two sandwich platters, some salads, fresh fruit, and a veggie platter. There's a grill going for roast vegetables, hamburgers, hot dogs, steaks, and fresh seafood, often run by Ginia but anyone else who wants to watch the grill or grill their own food is welcome to do so. People are also more than welcome to bring their own food and drinks. There's driftwood set up in a small firepit for once the sun goes down.

There are a few folding chairs and blankets spread out for anyone who wants to sit down as well as a card table or two.

Relax, meet new people, enjoy the food, and watch out for ghosts or shifts that might ruin your food.

((ooc: Handwaving the IC announcement of the party. Characters can still drop by even without checking in on the post (though that would be great for stats purposes). Feel free to say your character was there for set up and later take down, it's mostly handwaved unless people want to play things out.))

[ Erwin will be very interested to further compare worlds--he was always interested in studying other worlds when he was here last, and by association with Ginia came to discover more about her world than most others. But this is a link he hadn't been expecting. ]

[There's always time for business later (even if people can disappear at moment's notice). Ginia enjoys the ocean, the stars for a bit longer at Erwin's side before she eventually excuses herself to check on the rest of the party. When the party finally dies down, it's late in the night. There's plenty of cleaning to be done, but that can all be done in the morning. Leftover food is stored in coolers, the firepit smothered with sand.

While there's a beach house nearby with no inhabitants, Ginia opts to sleep directly on the beach. There are plenty of blankets to go around if Levi and Erwin choose to join her out there and while the temperature drops a few degrees, it's still pleasant outside.

Regardless of where they choose to sleep, come 7 AM Ginia will check on them (assuming they aren't already up) so they can watch the sunrise at 7:20.]

[ They sleep on the beach as well. More than used to sleeping outside, Erwin has no trouble curling up on the sand with a few blankets to take and edge off the night's change in temperature. He and Levi sleep mostly back-to-back, though Erwin thinks he may have been the last of the three of them to actually fall asleep. He spent a good few hours looking up at the sky in silence, contemplating recent events and listening to the breathing of his companions.

When morning comes, he wakes a little later than he normally would, rising just after 6:30. His right arm begins to ache almost immediately--not an uncommon occurrence, he's found, though he rarely mentions it. Other soldiers who have lost limbs complain of similar sensations, he knows. ]

Good morning.

[ He greets Ginia pleasantly nonetheless. He'd lain still since waking so as not to disrupt Levi's slumber. Levi, who is apt to rouse at the slightest disturbance, would certainly be awoken by Erwin moving at his back. But he sits up now, letting the blankets he'd wrapped himself in fall away. ]

Did you sleep well?

/As well as I usually do./

[An answer with a shrug though it was the best answer she could give. Even on the best nights, nightmares lurked in her sleep, her breathing changing from deep and steady to something a little more panicked before waking with a start. Drowning was an all too common feeling and the fact she still woke up breathing air every morning was a blessing.

Laika pads over, tongue lolling and fur filled with sand, and flops right onto Ginia's lap. She indulges her dog and rubs behind her ears, ignoring the sand covering her lap.]
