Timey-Wimey Nonsense Part 1
Who: Everyone!
What: The Time Travel Trip 2014
When: HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO
Where: Luceti before it wascool Luceti
Summary: The residents are dragged into the past thanks to John's latest Shift. More information is here and here, and, ICly, here.
Rating: Varied
It's early morning in the quiet enclosure that will someday become Luceti. The sun is rising, birds are chirping in that annoyingly cheery way that makes you want to shoot them out of the trees, and the residents are beginning to wake up. Most of them are heading to work, either to farm, or to build, or to work the shops, or even just to prepare a nice breakfast for their families and neighbours. Everyone has something to do.
And then, out of nowhere, a couple hundred strangers show up in the middle of the woods.
At first there is confusion, and no shortage of caution, from the neighbours; newcomers are common enough, but usually they are announced beforehand, and never in such great numbers. The leaders of the town are called in to ask questions. The newcomers are free to explore, but any aggression will be met in kind; if need be, the Filial of the past will defend their homes. They're hoping it won't come to that, however. You're stuck with one another for a long time, after all.
Thankfully, there is one man who might be able to bring the natives and newcomers together: Tyr.
...And the other guy, maybe. We'll see.
((mingle and explore at will! further questions can be redirected to either of the posts linked above. NPCs will be available for plotty stuff soon.))

Will you still be able to hear back if we move towards the village?

[He starts collecting his bags, orienting himself in the direction that he had seen the large clearing. If he can't see the mountains, it was possible he'd run into the barrier (was there even a barrier? there had to be...) if he kept going in the opposite direction.]
no subject
[She can still be helpful with flying!]
no subject
[He starts walking once he's secured his equipment. The prospect about being sent into the past had left him trying to think of things he'd need in a worst-case survival scenario, so most of his stuff is geared towards that.]
no subject
[She'll take a few steps before jumping straight up, stopping at the treeline.] ...Wow, it is smaller...
no subject
Smaller? How much smaller?
no subject
no subject
...Let's hope we won't have to build our shelters.
[Time to keep walking.]
no subject
We might be okay. There's still two community buildings.
no subject
[That number might be a gross underestimation, too; it wasn't like he went around counting people in the village.]
no subject
[Which...isn't all that good for her, since she still makes such a great nightlight..]
no subject
Did you have housemates to find?
no subject
Two. One is probably looking for me right now. [But she's safe, so maybe he won't worry to much...]
no subject
Did you ask the trees to find them, too?
no subject
[Which uses up her magic, so she only wants to try it once here, just in case.]
no subject
So he just nods, looking away from the forest and to the dusty road ahead.
And to the mass amount of empty, grassy land where he is used to seeing houses.]
...This is going to take a while to get used to.
no subject
[He deserves at least a reason, just not all of them.
Now that she can see it from ground level, it looks even more smaller. And while she can remember times when things back home could've looked like this, this is the first time actually seeing it. So she looks quite interested.
But with less buildings, and more ground and forest, it reminds her a little bit of heaven.]
I take it you're not used to being in a time like this?
no subject
At the question, he pauses in thought. When he glances at Kohaku again, there is a questioning glint in his eye.]
What do you mean? Being in a time like this?
no subject
[It's just a simple question. She knows a few people which might have some trouble without it.]
no subject
My world doesn't have the electricity, the lights and such, that we've seen here. At least, not powered in any way similar to this. I was talking about the way the village looks.
[He arcs one hand in the direction of the flat land lacking in buildings.]
...We don't even use one of those new stoves, in our house. Just a fire-burning one.
[Because why replace something that had been working so reliably?]
no subject
[She just wanted to make sure, but that last statement makes her think.]
I've never paid to much attention to what Okita uses to cook with...
no subject
[Not that he knew who this 'Okita' was.]
