It's early morning in the quiet enclosure that will someday become Luceti. The sun is rising, birds are chirping in that annoyingly cheery way that makes you want to shoot them out of the trees, and the residents are beginning to wake up. Most of them are heading to work, either to farm, or to build, or to work the shops, or even just to prepare a nice breakfast for their families and neighbours. Everyone has something to do.

And then, out of nowhere, a couple hundred strangers show up in the middle of the woods.

At first there is confusion, and no shortage of caution, from the neighbours; newcomers are common enough, but usually they are announced beforehand, and never in such great numbers. The leaders of the town are called in to ask questions. The newcomers are free to explore, but any aggression will be met in kind; if need be, the Filial of the past will defend their homes. They're hoping it won't come to that, however. You're stuck with one another for a long time, after all.

Thankfully, there is one man who might be able to bring the natives and newcomers together: Tyr.

...And the other guy, maybe. We'll see.

[Mickey smiles, deciding to trust him, even if Mytho's manner of speech is... unusual.]

I'll do my best to protect you, Mytho, I promise. You're my friend... and I'll keep reminding you everytime we meet.

Thank you, Mickey. [Friendship. For a moment, something in him makes him flinch at that, but he quickly regains his composure.]

You are like... a loyal knight.

[That makes him chuckle.]

Actually, I was one! A long time ago! It always stuck with me, I suppose.

[ravenousheart]

Is that so? I knew that I was right to trust you, Mickey. [Especially if he could use him.] You could serve me very well.

[takesyoubytheheart]

... Huh?

[Okay look there's only so much sunshine and sparkles Mickey can believe in, even he has his limits.]

Whaddya mean, serve you?

[ravenousheart]

I'm a prince. Isn't it natural?

[takesyoubytheheart]

Natural?

... My loyalty and friendship's got nothin' ta do with knighthood or royalty.

[Helps that Mickey's a king anyway, but we'll save that for later.]

I'm helpin' you because I like you, Mytho. Because even without your emotions, you're still a kind, good person.

[ravenousheart]

I see. [Such sentiment. But maybe he can still work with it.]

As long as you help me... That's all I will need.

[takesyoubytheheart]

... You been feelin' all right, Mytho? You're actin' pretty different than how you usually are.

[ravenousheart]

Maybe you're right...

[So he's not as gullible as he seems. But now Mytho plays up some feeble body language, putting a hand against his forehead.]

Ever since we were brought here, I've felt so... weak.

[takesyoubytheheart]

[Which is pretty believable... Kinda. Being weak doesn't exactly mean you should start feeling superior. Still, Mickey nods slowly, deciding to accept that for now.]

Why don't we find ya a place ta lay down and get some rest? You don't have ta push yerself too hard while we're here.

Rest? Yes, perhaps that would be helpful...

[He plays up the delicate act. He takes a few steps forward, but staggers woozily as he does so.]

Ah...!

[Immediately Mickey reaches out to catch him - he may be short, but he's carried heavier.]

Easy...! Here, lean on me.

[ravenousheart]

[It probably also helps that Mytho's probably lighter than a bird. He will lean on Mickey almost entirely; he's trying to make this look good. And he moans wearily.]

Thank you so much, Mickey. You're... a true friend...

[takesyoubytheheart]

[Mickey smiles, and helps lead him along.]

I'm very glad to hear that...

I wonder... I don't know where I should stay.
