It's early morning in the quiet enclosure that will someday become Luceti. The sun is rising, birds are chirping in that annoyingly cheery way that makes you want to shoot them out of the trees, and the residents are beginning to wake up. Most of them are heading to work, either to farm, or to build, or to work the shops, or even just to prepare a nice breakfast for their families and neighbours. Everyone has something to do.

And then, out of nowhere, a couple hundred strangers show up in the middle of the woods.

At first there is confusion, and no shortage of caution, from the neighbours; newcomers are common enough, but usually they are announced beforehand, and never in such great numbers. The leaders of the town are called in to ask questions. The newcomers are free to explore, but any aggression will be met in kind; if need be, the Filial of the past will defend their homes. They're hoping it won't come to that, however. You're stuck with one another for a long time, after all.

Thankfully, there is one man who might be able to bring the natives and newcomers together: Tyr.

...And the other guy, maybe. We'll see.

Is that so. Aren't you the curious one? Tell me, have you learned much?

Not much. It's really all that I would expect for going back in time. I just didn't guess that there would be people already here.

Really? [He hangs his head back with a soft laugh]

Did you think that we were the first people to live here? That's quite the assumption.

[amberguardian]

No. They've brought us to places where there weren't any people before, so I didn't know what to expect.

[ravenousheart]

Is that so? What sorts of places have they brought you to in the past? I'd like to know... [Maybe he can use the information somehow.]

[amberguardian]

Mostly just to the places where we had to fight a while ago. I'm not completely sure about the whole place, but there was no one in the woods or mountains.

I see.

You're very helpful, you know.

[amberguardian]

Well, it's best to share information. Especially here.

That's right. If you find out anything else that's interesting, I'd like to hear it.

Interesting...like what?

[ravenousheart]

Anything that seems unusual, or that could give someone any kind of advantage. Those sorts of things.

[amberguardian]

An advantage...we're just in the past.

[And it's also hard to pick out actual unusual stuff...since Luceti is the king of unusual around here.]

Exactly. Don't see? When we're in the past... the future is in our hands.

[amberguardian]

We shouldn't mess with to many things in the past...things can easily go wrong.

[And she knows this from experience!]

That's only if you're not careful. And that's why the more secrets we can uncover, the better. Think of it as a story... and we have a chance to rewrite the beginning.

Though we have absolutely no idea how it will really end up doing to our future...I won't help with something like that...There are rules to time traveling anyway.

Rules? [He scoffs.] Then why do you think we're here? We might be breaking those rules already.

[amberguardian]

But since we were brought here, I don't think just being around is a problem.
