...but I guess can see the high heels being kind of a deterrent, huh.

[She assumes Kari knows what that is, by now.]

[Or...they're misguided somehow? Rei's never stopped to really think about them, and given their methods...they sort of have to be evil.]

Then there's the people I accidentally manage to piss off when I visit other worlds -- again, only a few, but they've probably been some of the more crazy ones. [Which includes the few she also doesn't like to talk about.]
And then there's the special cases, who started out as enemies, but then stuff happened and now we're friends!

[She is not fond of the spirit, Kari. Not at all.]

[Immense magical power and the ability to manipulate time and space? Yeah, powerful is actually kind of an understatement.]
Of course, I'm pretty sure most of the people who want to steal it from me don't know about the creepy spirit thing that listens in on your thoughts all day long. Or that fact that the stupid thing can't be removed. Since, to be perfectly honest, if I could just give it away, I probably would.
no subject
[That's a genuine question.]
I wouldn't give up being Mars for anything. Even if it is dangerous. But you'd give up being Hoshikyo? All that freedom?

[She brings a hand up to her chest, tapping her fingertips against her pendent.]
The only reason I started traveling to different worlds was to find some way of getting rid of them. I mean, sure it's kinda cool and all -- creepy spirit thing aside. But my magic is practically a beacon for anyone trying to find this thing. And as long as it exists in my world, no one there is safe... probably not even me.

But then, my world's kind of a crapshoot anyway. So who knows. Maybe some other-worldly invaders would just jazz the place up?
no subject
Maybe. But...here we are anyway.
[By here, she means of course the rock outcropping.]
no subject
[...how does one look for magic rocks exactly.]
So, uh. Should I just start cutting into stuff until we hit something, I guess? I don't think we're gonna be lucky enough to find some just laying around, after all.
no subject
[She wasn't that lucky...]

[But without further ado, she reaches out a hand and materializes her sword, grasping it tightly as she approaches the closest boulder. With a bright flash of rainbow light, she charges up the blade, before swinging it down onto the rock. After a few seconds, the rock splits cleanly in two and topples down on either side.]
[Of course, one big cut won't tell them too much about the composition of the whole thing, so she puts a few more cuts into one of the halves, slicing it up with ease as though it were a baked potato.]
no subject
[She will cheat. And once the rock is cut up, Mars peers at the potato-rock, looking at the various layers of sliced open rock.]
And what color is it again? There's some irregular colors there, at least. And definite changes in striation.
[Oh god she sounds like Ami!]
no subject
...kinda silvery, with a more blue-ish color. And assuming that picture I took is accurate, it should have some kind of levitating properties too. Of course, probably not on a big scale, or we'd be better off searching the skies...
no subject
Like this? Or a different shade?
no subject
[And she'll just recharge up her sword, the blade glowing a faint white color, before dragging it gently along the silvery striations, trying to bring up some smaller chunks aside from the finely cut slice she made in the first place.]
[...but nothing happens!]
...okay, I guess it wouldn't be much of a quest if we found it in the first try, huh.
no subject
[She shrugs and puts her hand against a chunk, beginning to infuse the stone with heat.]
Give me a second and I'll see about making it more pliant.
