So you mean, you just arrived from the past?

[That Sanji hadn't been aware of; his knotted expression points to that]

Tch, no breathing room for anyone, then...

I'll say. At least for myself, I still need to take in the changes and find the notes I buried here to compare them... but there seem to be conflicts in memory from those who hadn't ... made the trip.

[concasse]

Aa... [That does spark something on Sanji's end. His lips pull thin]

Robin-chan was a bit..

She did seem to remember certain things better than I could.

Was there something in particular that was bothering you? ["Certain things" in itself seemed vague on it's own.] I have a feeling that the memory issues in general must be caused by the fact that ... there is new memory that some of haven't experienced, of living in this world without the conflicts we had gone to erase. Those of us who had gone back carry with us the memory of the world as it had been, before the changes. Our return is likely conflicting with what may have been an ordinary cycle. [She had just said she didn't have enough information for theorizing, but it just happens anyway.

Getting Sanji fixed up is more important, though, as they finally reach a place where she can look him over.]

[concasse]

Maaah, well... [Theorizing or not, Sanji's eyebrows crease as he tries to think up an example -- or no, it's not that he doesn't have one on hand. The first to come simply sets an ache in his chest.]

Drafts, she mentioned - most of them got really ugly, but I can't remember all the shitty details.

[His tone trails off as they come upon a building - the clinic, he vaguely recalls. It's as homely as ever, though he keeps the thought to himself and holds the door open for Raine first]

I remember them clearly.

[She leaves it at that for a moment, until she can get him seated on one of the empty beds.]

It would be easy for me to say that not remembering the details would be for the best, but knowing how things have been and why they are different now makes... a world of difference, in my opinion.
