Summary: Orihime offered to show Magus her ShunShun Rikka and he offered to show off some of his magic.

Orihime closed her notebook and stashed it away. Running a brush quickly through her hair before she slipped from her room. She couldn't figure out why she felt so excited and nervous at the same time. Maybe it was because she hadn't tried to use her abilities since her arrival.

The auburn haired girl waited patiently outside the building she now called home as she waited for Magus. When she first talked to him he seemed a little scary but now she didn't think so. He actually seemed really nice! Kind of like some of the Arrancar...although they were still rough with her.

Orihime listened closely as he spoke, when he was done she was silent for a moment. "They Mystics kind of sound like the Arrancar and the Hollows. Although maybe not..." She glanced up at him, frowning. "Why had you stopped thinking kindly of humanity?"

"That ties in to why I had to leave the place I grew up in. You see... I was a prince, once." He stopped there for a moment, to let that sink in. At her age, he figured it would be a pretty big bombshell to absorb.

"A...a prince?" With those words she was off in her own little world.

He couldn't help but smirk again. That was an adorable reaction. "Yes... a prince of the kingdom of Zeal. My mother, the Queen, ruled kindly and justly... until we encountered something terrible.

An ancient power that slept beneath the surface of the world. A power that offered all of Zeal immeasurable strength, even immortality... but at a cost no one could have anticipated.

An evil entity..." Magus's eyes narrowed as he recalled his greatest enemy. "Named Lavos."

She snapped out of her daydream and looked up at him. "So Lavos was part of the reason? What did it do?"

"Lavos was an ancient monster that had burrowed beneath the earth long before any of us had ever lived. It feasted upon the very substance of the world itself... becoming ever stronger, waiting for the day it would be able to spawn, and leave for a new world.

Its power was great enough that the people of Zeal thought it was a god... my mother included. Only Schala, me, and the three Gurus seemed to realize that there was something... wrong about this power."

"Oh...that's sad and very unfortunate that so many were blinded by power." While Orihime wanted to know more such talk was making her feel a bit down.

Magus wasn't blind to the girl's pain. He gave her his best attempt at a reassuring smile... which was admittedly pretty bad. Smirks? Grins? No problem. But a real smile? He hadn't done that in years. "It's something you've got to accept... people want to be strong. For whatever reason, good or bad, no one wants to be the weak one."

"I...I know that. That's part of why Kurosaki-kun fights, that's why I train...but...still. Because of the people that want to be strong for bad reason...those of us that want to protect others have to get stronger to. Its a never ending cycle." she sighs.

"Schala hated it." He looked up into the sky again, remembering. "She always would say that if people stopped focusing so much on their own strength, and believing power would solve their problems, so many of the problems of the world would vanish. She was idealistic that way."

"Huh..." Orihime had been so busy talking with Magus that she hadn't even realized they had made it back into the village. She stopped walking and looked around, unsure of where to start looking for what she needed to make chocolates.

Magus turned towards the grocery store on reflex. If they were looking to make food, that was where to find things, right?

Oh, yes of course the grocery store! She quickly followed after him, mentally making a list of everything she needed.

"So, what do we need to make these?" Magus tilted his head at her in curiosity.

"Well let's see...we need chocolate bars to melt down, maybe some nuts and fruits. Butter and powdered sugar for the fillings and umm...oh! Maybe something to spice them up!" she replied cheerfully. She thought a bit more before speaking again. "Oh, we'll need molds to pour the chocolate into."

He nodded at each ingredient she mentioned, mentally making note. One thing caught his attention especially though. "Spice them up? I've never had spicy chocolate."

"Mhmm! I read this recipe once where they used chili peppers in the chocolate. I've wanted to try it since I read it."

"Chili peppers, huh? Thought chocolates were supposed to be sweet... but then, I'm hardly an expert." He shrugged it off. The girl probably knew what she was doing, right?

"I guess it just depends on who is making them." she replied. Honestly when it came to cooking anything Orihime just kind of threw things together that she figured would taste good in the end. If it didn't then she'd just try again.

"Well, let's see what we've got here." Magus grabbed a bag as they entered the store and started to have a look around.
