[Shiemi is also determined to hone her skills. While she can't exact train her taming ability with Nee, she still has her skarmory, and they have a lot of work to do. One day she'll meet up with Fenimore at the Battle Dome.]

Fenimore! [When the blond sees the other girl she runs up to her, waving.]

[grumble grumble stupid battle dome and its stupid forgetting her settings and stupid computers in general grumble grumble]

[But she brightens considerably when she hears Shiemi, so the irritated expression has melted completely by the time she looks up.]

Hey Shiemi! How's it going?

Good! And you?

Ah -- fine, fine. I'm just having a little trouble with the dome's computer this week.

[Actually she always has trouble with it when she tries to do anything complicated, but without the presets she had made before it's worse than usual.]

Can I help?

[Honestly Shiemi isn't better, but...]

[Can she help? That sounds like a good question. Given Shiemi initially had only old-fashioned clothes when they met, Fenimore suspects she grew up with old-fashioned tech. She is therefore rather doubtful that she'll be able to help, but....

...Well, it's worth a shot.]

[Skarmy sizes up Fenimore as Shiemi hovers over the panel. She starts poking it a couple times. It's obvious she barely knows what she's doing.]

[...Is it just her imagination, or Shiemi's replacement demon (as she has come to think of Skarmy) judging her? She tries to express "watch it" with a look.

And then she looks up at Shiemi and begins to suspect that her doubt was well-placed.] ...Have you even tried this before?
