The Cultural Fair

Who: Everyone! Or as close to that as possible, please. \o/
What: The Cultural Fair
When: April 25th-26th, though the earlier set-up days (22nd, 23rd, and keeping everything dry on the 24th) are also encouraged to help get a feel for it
Where: All around the town square
Summary: Also here.
Rating: ... is this a thing?

Note: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier. Work was probably started for it on the 22nd-23rd for labor purposes, sheltering things from the weather on the 24th, and the actual Fair is on the 25th-26th, so using any of those dates and figuring out where your characters are helping would be good. CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth.

I'll leave the descriptions up to you all as there probably isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about it. Think of it as something on a much smaller scale than the festival from a year ago, definitely, but how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. That said there are plenty of unique sights, so enjoy browsing! Thank you!

(Also, please add your name tags!)

Earthbending Demo

[And the time eventually came for Aang to represent his forbear; with no Toph, he was the only Earthbender around. He stepped up to the stage in full Kyoshi gear, which Suki lent him from Sokka's wardrobe (a detail he is sure to remember), complete with a pair of fans. He felt a bit nervous, as Earthbending had been the hardest to learn due to it being the opposite of air, and it didn't help that it had been ages since he was tutored by Toph. Still, he swallowed his nerves and rooted his feet to the ground.

Aang's first move was to raise both arms in the air, and with them he raised two rocky walls on the stage, one on each side of him. These would act as barriers to prevent any boulders from flying off the stage. He then began his movements. He moved and his arms and legs carefully, and with a rigid precision. Each stomp lifted a rock from the ground, and then he would strike forward with the fan to propel the rock against one of the walls. He moved like this for several minutes, while maintaining a neutral jing. Aang then lifted his arms again; this time he moved the ground beneath his feet upward as a pillar, a pillar which only went up to just below the level of the earth walls. This way, he was still able to raise and toss more rocks against the walls. Aang ended his presentation by leaping into the air and stomping down on the pillar, forcing it back down to the ground. With the stage quickly bent back into shape, Aang proceeded to pose with his fans.]

[Despite the impressive performance, Katara can't help but have a thread of 'I really should have talked him out of wearing that costume' running through her mind.]

[Aang waves eagerly to Katara as he steps down from the stage.]
