[Alrighty! Battler had called over Ange, the two of them had planned on giving Kyrie some presents on this wonderful day- and of course this is really the first time Battler's done this with his newly acquired mother. In any case, they were in the kitchen... trying to cook for her. Breakfast in bed after all.

Except ....with Ange helping out this might not go as well as he had hoped.]

[ Hey, at least she's enthusiastic over it for once, even if it doesn't fully show since the lineface has grown so much on her. It's been.. a long time since she properly celebrated mother's day, after all, and it's only better to do it together with her older brother.. So she's going to try her best, okay.

And probably ruin everything since Ange and cooking, hah. ]

[Battler had just flipped a pancake, and he glanced over at Ange.]

Hmm...! I guess you can make some sausage... or bacon... [IF YOU DON'T SET IT ON FUCKING FIRE!!!]

See, she's already getting out a pan from the cupboard as she speaks and all.. ]

I'll make a few sausages. They'll go along with it nicely, I think.

Not really. I'm not the one who usually cooks in our house. I can make simple stuff like sandwiches by now, but I don't use the pans or stove a lot. [ .. ] Besides, I'm different than that girl from back then, you should know that by now.

A-Ange! They're pretty much black- get them out of there!

[ Slowly turning her head towards the pan-- ah, even Ange (because she's at least a liiiittle better at this in Luceti) can notice they're burnt-- HURRY UP AND GET THEM OUT!! She dumps them on a nearby empty plate but.. yeah, there's no saving those.

She almost looks a little disappointed like a kid would when she pokes them with a fork. ]

[KJSDNFKJSDN he manages to put the pancake on another plate and then he walks over to her, patting her on the head.]

H-hey hey Ange, it's alright! I'm sure Kyrie-san will... still like it. [kelsey likes it black after all]

No way mom will like something like this, right? Forcing her to eat it would just be cruel. [ at least she seems to understand that much. ] We'll just bring her what you made, onii-chan.

It's alright... grab some orange juice, I bet she'll want something like that to go along with this. [you can manage juice pouring, can't you Ange?]

Fine, fine.. [ But she sounds a little defeated already, she can't do anything, huh!! But yes, she can at least handle that much. So there we go, glass of orange juice. ]

[he looks over at her while he's getting a tray ready, putting the plate full of pancakes on it.]

Aahh I remember when I used to burn things! It took me forever before I was able to cook properly- and I still mess up a lot! Jeez, it's so good that I was able to do these without messing up, a miracle even!

Of course it was a miracle, onii-chan. [ said in that tone that means she knows he's trying to cheer her up with it..!! but she still smiles, just a little bit. ]

Let's go and bring it to mom before she's already out of bed.

Right! [lala, putting the juice on the tray too- he's already slapped some butter and syrup on the pancakes too, all fancy and shit like mother fucking Gohda used to make.

And he's carrying it, heading up the stairs towards Kyrie's room.]
