Event Log - Total Recall

Who: You and you and mostly me and you
What: Everyone's been Shifted in their own way
When: A hero doesn't care if this event last a whole ten days
Where: Everyone can blaze a hero's trail
Summary: It's that special time when the Malnosso collect all their recent experiments and apply them all at once to measure effectiveness. Although invaluable as research, it tends to leave the subjects looking just a bit mad.
Rating: Rated H for HEROIC

So there is a mod post and it pretty much tells you EVERYTHING you need to know. This is a mass log for people to comment around on if they don't want to make posts. Or even if they want to make posts anyway. There will be at least one more of these later in the event! ENJOY!

[Red is surprised to find a bowl of what Lupin would call Miso-Ramen sitting next to him on the fountain as he contemplatively watches the sky. This was a Shift. Obviously...and it was one where he hoped people would have had the good sense to wear nametags from the beginning of the week until whenever the Malnosso decided to end it.

It was early afternoon, but he was uncommonly hungry. Wrestling with the twisted meanderings of an altered mind was more tiring than it looked, but he was glad that he wrested control of Lupin's body from the other version. All of those years hanging around Jedi and Force Sensitives must have had some benefit...

Gingerly he lifts the bowl of ramen for further examination. The scent of it further reinforced his hunger...]

[Thought bubbles appear and the chopsticks start snapping]

OI, LADY! DON'T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!

[Red nearly drops the bowl, startled.]

In--[he catches himself. Must act like Lupin would!] Pops?

Who the hell...? LUPIN?!

...Yes and no, Pops.

[If this was truly the Inspector, he would notice the differences in an instant.]

We met...once. A month or so back. You thought I was a madman, and I didn't have near the information then that I do now.

The...Star Wars thing? Wait, weren't you a guy then too...?

[You've confused a bowl of ramen...]

Yes, it's Red again--and at least I know what you're talking about now!

[He pauses for a moment and sets the poor bowl of ramen down. Pops needed to keep his dignity too!]

The Malnosso decided to play a few games this week, including Shifting this body into a woman. You...wouldn't have recognized Lupin a few days ago either. There was a different anchoring in effect.

...he's fine, by the way. Lupin. I managed to boot the third guy from the system.

[The bowl floats up a bit, chopsticks swirling]

Man, the Malnosso...turned me into a bowl of ramen. This has got to be the weirdest thing ever.

No wierder than a Were-Yeti! [He laughs under his breath at his--Lupin's--memory. That was his first surreal experience in Luceti, and not one he was likely to forget!]

At least they gave you a way to move around, Pops. It would be embarrassing to be carried around all day!

Yea, but...being a flying bowl of ramen? Its kind of strange. I'm not even really sure how I'm seeing. I just sort of...am.

It's probably better not to think too much on it--we'll just drive ourselves insane.

Kind of warm. Can't really say for sure, I don't feel a whole lot. Just...uhhh, yea

[He didn't want to give the poor Inspector too hard a time in this state. Instead, he smiles playfully.] So, I'm a girl and you're a bowl of ramen. How many people do you think we can play with this week?

[If a bowl of ramen could smile...it would. Actually, maybe the meat and bean sprouts rearrange themselves into a bit of a soupy grin]

Plenty. What do you have in mind?

Something involving your being soup and my being a girl, of course.

[He reaches for the bowl to hold in his two hands, and leans in to peck his lips on the warm ceramic.]

[Giggling with intentional girlishness, he releases the ramen and bounces away a few paces.] What? Don't you want to play, Pops?

Lupin. That would be funny...if you hadn't kissed me. And if I had legs. You're kind of a jerk. Or...I guess a bitch?

[His words look as confused as text can make them, and as dejected as a ramen bowl can]

Sorry, Pops. I'm just trying to do as Lupin would. It's Red, remember?

Then Red's also a jerk to an old ramen bowl. Careful or that guy'll rub off on you too much

...I won't deny being a jerk, but I'm doing a lot of this for Lupin's sake. No need to have it wierder for him.

[Well, if its weird you want...the bowl starts hovering and drifting lazily towards you, Red.]

Okay. What are you doing, Pops?

Flying around like a flying bowl of miso-ramen? What do you expect?

[As it gets closer however, he reveals his plan of attack. The egg that floated in the bowl is flung a sizeable distance by a chopstick catapult...right at Red]

[He barely manages to block the clump of egg with a girlish yelp, getting soup splatters on his hands, shirt, and hair. He peeks through his fingers at Zenigata, grinning despite himself.]
