Summary: It's that special time when the Malnosso collect all their recent experiments and apply them all at once to measure effectiveness. Although invaluable as research, it tends to leave the subjects looking just a bit mad.

[See? She's always been a girl. She's getting affected by some weird new thing now, but she's still a girl. Man, everyone's weird.

[What do you mean? He's here every week. Inside and all, even though he's still a little uncomfortable with it. Today he happens to be awkwardly lingering in the kitchen, waiting to see if Frey is around, wondering if he should take a seat or not. He refuses to take off his coat, and he hunches forward a little with his hands clasped in front of him.

Then he sees Silver, and.....what. There is a cloud hovering directly over your head. Don't mind him staring a bit, puzzled.] ...Hey... [...dammit, he forgot to lower his voice. It's a little higher pitched than normal, and he can't exactly cover that up with a coat.]

Nevermind anything else, just- what--]

"Hey"?

[...Hey, is that his face up in your thought cloud? W...hy. The mildly perplexed look remains, not understanding Silver's tone there. ...And is Silver's voice just a little higher than normal too, or did he imagine that?] Ah... [um. er. uh.]

How are you today? [This is totally normal, because they are totally cool with each other, right? This Mithos is less of a butt and he accepted Silver's weird kindness a while ago.]

[...Question marks. Some words show up, but the question marks completely eat them up until it's all kind of scribbly lined out.]

...Fine. [Considering all the crazy nonsense going on, fine is good enough. Scribblyscribblyscribble. She's still not noticing anything different besides the glaringly different thing just yet.

...But she is forgetting to say something here. What is it? -Oh right, uh--] What about you? [Weird weird weird this is so weird.]

[...Silver's voice is definitely not that high, normally. His eyes are going to linger on that crazy mess of question marks up there. Then he tries to ignore it, but he can't stop himself from sneaking the occasional upward glance.]

I'm... [suddenly a girl - he remembers to force his voice lower] ...fine too. [Just...hunched over a little funny and wearing a coat in May. Yup.]

Are you sure? You're acting pretty weird. [And sound pretty weird. What, does he have a cold or something?]

[...Can Silver tell? He self-consciously crosses his arms over his chest - a gesture usually absent from his body language vocabulary. Yup. Just playing it cool.] No I'm not.

[tsuntrader]

You're not flipping out or being all cold and snappy and angry. You're acting weird.

[.....Huh?] Should I be? [He just...looks very perplexed. Maybe he was like that when they first met, but he's grown past it. Does Silver think he's mad at him or something?]

[tsuntrader]

You act like that all the time. Did you hit your head on something or what?

[Has he been acting like that lately? He thought he had been improving a lot... He frowns, trying to search his memory.]

Our memories aren't the same. At all. Something's going on again.

[He already knew something was going on. Hello, itty bitty titties over here. But something with memories...? He can't deny that it's a possibility - it's happened often enough.]

...What do you remember?

[Some memories of recent and incredibly productive conversations with Mithos run through her mind. Since it all appears on the thought bubble, well... She just points over her head so Mithos can get the idea.]

[He watches, entranced. He sees himself sitting in the living room of this house - after Freyjadour had carried him there, when his death penalty had been lifted? - and he remembers Silver keeping him company that day, but...the caustic argument unfolding in front of him is foreign. Then the night Kaori had been kidnapped, Silver helping him down the stairs and him clearly wanting none of it... Mithos frowns.]

It...didn't happen like that.

[tsuntrader]

I believe you.

[The memories start to clear out, as if they're being shoved aside.] It doesn't matter anyway. [Not until things are back to normal, anyway. But this isn't the same Mithos, so... He shouldn't treat him like he's the same Mithos. He shouldn't prepare to be annoyed and worked up over someone else's actions.]

[He's silent, because the person he saw in Silver's memories is how he was not too long ago, before he let himself see reason, before he came to Luceti and met so many kind people.]

...I don't think I truly realized how much I've changed until I saw all of that. [And...he doesn't know how to feel, if Silver remembers him that way. A parallel timeline of events where he kept walking the same dark path...]

Yeah. You're a lot less of a pain. [It's pretty clear that she's saying it lightly, if her thought bubbles are any indication.]

...I'm...sorry... [This is still a very difficult word to say, one he doesn't use very often. It's reserved for the people he's opened himself up to.] That you had to meet me like that.

Don't apologize for something you didn't do. [As much as she appreciates the sentiment, it's not necessary.]

[He's grateful for Silver's understanding and simple acceptance, but he remains jarred by Silver's memories of him.]
