Summary: It's that special time when the Malnosso collect all their recent experiments and apply them all at once to measure effectiveness. Although invaluable as research, it tends to leave the subjects looking just a bit mad.
Rating: Rated H for HEROIC

[Today Sokka returns from his mission. After an incredibly weird encounter with Winry, he's just... happy to be home. Where things are normal. And oh look, his sister finally woke up.]

Back to the hair loopies and braid, huh?

[Sokka. How is this supposed to go down? Oh Sokka, it's me, your best friend. I'm your sister now.]

Sokka. ...Welcome back!

[For the moment, he focuses on the fact that he's back from his mission, and greets him with a hug.]

[Well. This is nothing new, at least. Sokka returns the hug.]

Yeah, they finally let me go. [He steps back, rotating his arm proudly.] But I showed those other domers some pretty good moves.

Great. It sounds like you a had a really good time.

[Oh brother.]

Well, it wasn't bad. [A shrug. And back to the point:] What's with the braid?

There's a funny story behind that, Sokka. Actually, it's really weird and I don't know how to break it to you.

Seeing as it's you, we can probably rule out the funny part.

[Sokka stares for a long while. Before concluding:]

... haha, nice try. [Sorry sis, but pretending not to know something isn't going to fool him.] But seriously, is there anything to eat around here? All I've had today is milk.

[He's aggravated for a moment, but then a light goes off in his head.]

Of course there's food around, but that's not the point! I think I know how to prove it to you.

Fine, but last time, okay? Those missions tired a guy out.

[In fact he brushed past Kataang to go look in the fridge.]

[She sighed, reluctant to use such serious information, but seeing no other way. Even though it should be easy to just get Real Katara.]

I know things she wouldn't. Like how I beat Ozai by taking his bending away. And... what the Southern Raiders did.

[markofthewise]

... yes, because I told you all that.

[Except Katara wouldn't start mentioning all that if it was a joke. So maybe he should ask something only he and Aang would know... something personal.]

Who has grocery duty for Appa?

[Some concern shows on her face. He probably should have guessed she would have been told some details about Ozai's defeat, but he had no idea that she knew about the Southern Raiders, or how this could have affected her. He answers somewhat flatly.]

Sokka immediately grabs Aang by the shoulders.]

You better not have been doing anything funny with her body, Aang!

Good! And don't get her body hurt either! Or do something embarrassing! In fact, you should just stay home!

Sokka, I'm gonna be careful. The last thing I'd want is for anything like that to happen to her. I just need to get some fresh air sometime.

It starts as fresh air, then the next thing you know you're showing off on Appa! Or trying to dive off a building before remembering you can't airbend!
