Harvest is Late Again.
Who: Nami (sort of) and anyone so inclined to help her out!
What: A harvest.
When: November 5th and 6th
Where: The mikan grove.
Summary: Nami didn't make the call for volunteers this year, despite already running late. Luckily, Law did.
Rating: Rated PG just to be safe.
[So Nami didn't have a good time on the draft. Which marks her up there with every other survivor of the damn thing, so nothing special there. Events were rather shattering for both her and her crew, and she's been up here since her return, working to harvest the orchard on her own fifteen hours a day. It's mindless and it's something to focus on, and she just didn't have the heart to make a public call out on the journals, let alone ask for help. Aang and Marco came to help her out some earlier, for which she's silenty grateful. But at this rate she'll be at least another week.
She hasn't heard Law's entry on the locked community (or anyone else's, for that matter), so when volunteers start arriving, she's surprised. And not quite sure what to do except sort of...keep going.
But. Something tight within unwinds a little. She might not be good at showing appreciation today, but it helps. It really does.]
((ooc: I've had a request for a harvest thread with Nami, so I figured putting this up is a good idea after all. Nami herself isn't very sociable, though, so just warning ahead of time! Backtaggable into forever.))

Though, of course, some jostling of the branches and fruit is definitely going to rouse her. Don't look twice if she's sudden;y really upset, either, this firefly's got a bit of a temper. But yeaah... Guess who's finally back in Luceti, guys! 8D]

Hey there, calm down little one. You okay?

Brb, jumping up at least a good foot or so, possibly even off the hand that once held her. She is a jumpy bug, this little butterfly. At least she's awake now, though.]
EIIIYAAAAHH!

[Still he quickly puts them out and just holds his palm up carefully to try to get a closer look. HE WANTS it to be Miyabi, but he's not sure November is really going to be as lucky for him as he's hoping... and he really doesn't want to terrorize a random butterfly.]

Mister Marco?

[Gently covers a hand over her head to shield her from anything and yells out for everyone.]
OI EVERYONE! Miyabi's back!

Eh...hehe, it's nothing to celebrate. W-Was I gone for very long?
no subject
Are you sure you're okay? It's plenty reason to celebrate your return. And everyone could use some good news, eh.
no subject
Eh...hehe, thank you. I hope I can at least make a few people happier, then. What happened while I was away? An experiment?

She stops in mid-reach, though, as she notices something...odd. Something is...glowing...? She leans closer, trying to get a better look, not being especially cautious about rustling the nearby branches with her head.]
no subject
Again, at least she's awake now.]
EEEEEEEKK!!

[Fenimore jerks back, startled -- and thereby falls off her ladder. She lands on her rump with a thump, but fairly quickly looks for where the light went.]
What...?
no subject
Ah...ow. [She rubs her head where she smacked it on the ground, then leaps right up and gives a furious hop.] YOU! Did you fling me up into the air like that?! That's not nice at all for any kind of creature, even bug--which I'm not!
no subject
Fenimore raises her hands defensively, though, against the...what the heck is that?]
It was the mikan! I was just trying...to get a look...at you.... [She has just enough tact not to say "what are you?" She will just think it. ...It may show a bit on her face.]
no subject
I'm a poncle. ...A forest sprite. I tend to the cherry blossom trees on the hill near here. [So no, she is not a new feather, before this girl asks.]
no subject
Ah. I...didn't know. [...This is awkward.] Sorry. But this mightn't be the best place to take a nap today.
no subject
Eh...no, please, miss. I should apologize. That was impolite of me, to treat you with such disrespect. [She bows her head low, apologetically.] I've only just come back from being taken away by the Malnoso...I'm not in the best of moods, forgive me.

...oh, she's sorry, Miyabi. But she comes to the row you're in to see if you're okay-- hopefully while you're not looking-- and then she walks away again. Rather quickly.]
no subject
What she's not used to is seeing her friend avoid her like the Blight of Ryoshima. It's more the sound of rustling leaves that catches Miyabi's attention before she spots the woman walking off rather quickly and blinks, somewhat confused. Did Nami not see he? ...Probably. She can be, uh...h-hard to miss like this, sigh. Might as well go greet her.]
Nami! Nami, wait! [Miyabi leaps from branch to branch effortlessly, trying to follow after the redhead.]
no subject
(So's running away in the first place. Haven't been doing that all week...)
She can't avoid Miyabi in the orchard without abandoning the trees anyway, so she slows. Maybe she can hope Miya already knows what happened. So she glances back with a weak smile.]
...you're back.
no subject
Coming to an abrupt stop for a second or two, Miyabi furrows her brows and bounds her way up a mikan tree to get some height between her and Nami. No need for the woman to bed down or anything. Plus, maybe she can somehow hop onto her head or shoulder later, if she needs it. A hug is still a hug, even it's teeny, right?]
...Mm, that's right. I just arrived a little while ago. [Not quite so nicely, but not saying so.] Have I been away for long?
no subject
[...not sure. What does that even say? Nami stares blankly at Miyabi for a moment, before she frowns and glances down at the ground.]
Too long. [Muttered.] I'm sorry. Are you okay?
no subject
I'm fine. I was just a little sleepy at first, and hungry, but I had some mikan. [H-Hope that's okay... She only took one! And gave what she couldn't finish to a very appreciative squirrel. So nothing was wasted.] Are you okay, big sister?
no subject
[That last question, she'll just ignore.]
