What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

[Fooood. F o o d. Nala's still lingering in Diamond, so he's still got his big old wings, but his heart's healing. They're folded the best they can be so he doesn't knock anything up.]

These look delicious~. [His Munchlax is out beside him, just as fond of food, and trying to get those moon cakes.]

[breezing]

[ And because Ikki should really talk to the pokemon people more, she and Soren will come over at some point. She's only got the small Luceti wings, and Soren the swellow only has - well, his swellow wings.

Ikki grins, but her focus is admittedly more on Munchlax than Diamond for the moment... ]

How cuuuuuute! Is this a pokemon?

[Incoming child!!! Lax doesn't mind her. Hi. Can you get him some moon cakes oh nevermind Diamond's getting one for him munch munch.]

Mmhmm! Lax is a Munchlax. [He's admiring Soren too! Totally not bothered by Ikki's small stature.] I've never seen your friend before either~! Hi there.

[breezing]

A Munchlax...that sounds like "Snorlax"! I learned that one from the pokedex.

[ Although it can't do anything really special, it has the lists transferred to her from Masaomi, and they're fun to read. Though she admittedly reads them less now that she's not being quizzed on them all the time. ] Oh, this is Soren! He's a swellow who was born here. Right, Soren? There's three others who're his siblings, but thy're not swellows.

Mmhmm! He can evolved into Snorlax, but he doesn't want to. [Probably has an Everstone stuck in his fur somewhere. It's not bothersome though!

Oh, a Swellow! He'd heard and seen the Luceti trainers around, gave some advice to Hiccup once, but this is really the first time meeting one face to face with partner included. Diamond studies Soren, then reaches out to pet him happily.] I see! I'm Diamond, and this is Lax. It's nice to see that even Pokémon born here are so happy.

[breezing]

Oh, evolving...right, Masaomi said Soren used to be another pokemon. I've never seen anyone evolve, though.

[ Soren accepts the attention equally happily, preening a little bit. Yes, good! ] It's nice to meet you both! And yep! I've only met Kyle and Linda of the other three...I think the third one is partners with another girl, though.

Kyle is Hiccup's, right? And... Let's see, Linda is with Masaomi... and the third's Skarmy, with Shiemi. I've heard about them in the house~.

[What a good boy you are, Soren! He'll take a cake to be shared between them. It's nice to see that though they're not the first match up they're very good for each other. It kind of reminds him of... Heheh.]

Though you're not his first trainer, you and Soren seem to be very good friends. [He's okay at understand the feelings of a Pokemon. Empathetic heart and all. Nala just increases it.] I have one like that too! Don's a big dinosaur who was a Gym Leader's, but he was so open with me Mr. Byron wanted me to have him.

[breezing]

Yep! Those are all of them. I've only really met Kyle and Linda, not Skarmy.

[ Empathetic heart powers are a go! Ikki looks impressed, while Soren agrees. ]

A big dinosaur...? That's so cool! Especially how you met! I met Soren on my first day here, last year.

[heartofthematter]

Then he probably flew to you, right? When his other trainer left. It's always really lucky when that happens, that they can find a friend so easily right away. It makes the time healing easier, I think. Is anyone teaching you things?

[Because he remembers that his seniors had juniors and stuff like that.]

[breezing]

Yeah, that's what happened!! First off. Um...

[ That's a complex question. ]

One of the others was a while ago, but then he stopped 'cause of reasons. [ That she was not privy to and doesn't totally get but DETAILS... ] And no one else really picked up after specifically, so I guess not really? I mean, people answer me if I have questions but it's not like I have someone specifically training me anymore like I do for other things.

Hm... It's not unusual to have to learn on your own, but it's odd to just drop off lessons like that. Are you okay like this?

[breezing]

I guess I'd like to learn more, but I kinda feel weird asking when I think it happened 'cause people keep leaving...

[heartofthematter]

That would makes sense. [Hmmmm.] I'm not as experienced as my seniors, but I've learned a lot from them and my own adventure with Missy and Pearl! So you can come to me whenever you want, since we go to school together.

[Yea school buddies.]

I'd love that! It's been a while since anyone really offered, and...I'd like to learn as much as I can, for Soren!
