Event Log - Level One

Who: Everybody
What: Lucetians reverted back to level one!
When: Well. Now. Right away. It ends on the 25th, so chop chop.
Where: In Luceti. You think you guys are getting out of here after that stunt you just pulled?
Summary: Well. So sometimes the Malnosso actually do legitimate experiments that aren't heaped in heavy plot. This is one of those times. Look, just go read the mod post, would you?
Rating: P for Prologue-licious.

Remember to tag with your character like so: [canon] character name

ALSO, all the journals will be completely wiped clean for the duration of this event. Nothing prior to this log will appear on the journals until after the 25th. So good luck figuring things out!

[To say that Maiza was confused to find a boy he didn't recognize in the same house as himself and Czes would be an understatement. He was surprised to see Czes there, after all, not having seen that boy in over two centuries. There was even less to explain Luke's presence, but regardless he'd tried to treat the boy with as much politeness as he could think to, concerned for him while also keeping his distance because Luke was seriously sulky. It's during one of the later days that he comes across the item shop and sees Luke standing there, on the other side of the glass. Curious, he approaches and steps into the store, looking at the stranger with an expression that isn't unkind]

You like any of those? I heard there's no money here so you can take any of those you want, you know.

[This man was in the same house he woke up in; he smiles a lot, but he seems a decent sort. Wears a nice hat. Luke still backs away a bit when he approaches, face sullen.]

That's still stealing.

[He stops, a couple steps away and hands out of his pockets.]

Well it'd be polite to tell the storekeeper you're takin' it, of course. But you can't pay with money you don't have.

If I haven't got the money, then I can't buy anything.

[Even someone accustomed to affluence knows that.]

You can't have the money if they don't have a monetary system.

Everyone's got one of those. Even the really small countries. [Luke glowers, stepping away from the toys and Maiza just a little bit.]

This ain't even a country, Luke. [He sighs though, not pushing it, and turns to look at the toys.]

Well, it's not a terrible thing to stick to the payment rule, either.

Everywhere's a country.

[Still. The toys aren't compelling for being toys, really, but for being something kind of normal in a place that was so very much not. A wooden toy airplane has his particular attention.]

Everywhere that's got a government, my man. As far as I know this village isn't like that.

Anyway... if you don't want to take it out with you, looking at any of these while you're here won't hurt anyone.
gentlemanintraining: (pen and paper)

[personal profile] gentlemanintraining 2013-10-03 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
How can you have a village without government? Even Misthallery's got a mayor.

I'm sure there's something running it if they've got these stores constantly stocked. But there is not sign that it's a government -- it could be more... privately owned, possibly.
gentlemanintraining: (peering around)

[personal profile] gentlemanintraining 2013-10-07 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
[More privately owned? Outside the government?]

I guess. They don't care very much about other people stealing then.

I doubt they do. [He crosses his arms thoughtfully.] It's probably set up in a way that no matter what we do, it won't be of financial damage to them.
