This post is for the draftee-only portion of the Zompania draft--the day 3 death, time travel to day 1, and then the events until the arrival of the reinforcements. Be sure to use the above info post for any plotting needs you might have. Enjoy!

Rock Lee (Days 1-4!)

[Day 1]

[Rock Lee is an ideal scout under the circumstances - he's able to reaching incredible speeds, can take care of himself in a fight and relies on purely physical ability, so he doesn't have to worry about Shifters. Once he's had some time to come to terms with what they experienced, he's ready to get into action and keep moving, to keep himself from dwelling on what happened.

If anyone wants to be an extra pair of eyes, why not come along with Lee as he scouts around? If you don't mind him giving you a piggyback ride, that is. Otherwise, he can also help others who are in a pinch, against the likes of Shifters or Shift Hunters.]

[Day 2]

[For most of this day, he may be preoccupied in aiding Vegeta's stand against the Cultists. He'll likely need a round of healing once he rejoins the forces.

And that evening, he spends a quiet moment fallen to his knees after seeing the rows of corpses.]

[Day 3]

[Rock Lee is part of the fray in the city! He goes back and forth, helping with the search efforts for the bomb and trying to cover as much ground in the city as possible. When the time comes, he'll start opening some Gates and engaging some Cultists in battle to draw attention away from the infiltration team.

Otherwise, he'll mostly be doing whatever he can to help out! Once again he can help to save people from Shifters or Shift Hunters. And he'll also take additional orders from anyone who has a task for him! And he'll also be near collapsing at several points, in need of a healer.]

[Day 4]

[As the struggle continues, Rock Lee ends up going through a destructive cycle. He seeks out Cultists to fight, battles them valiantly, sometimes resorting to opening Gates in the process, and he will either require a team-up or will achieve victory while sustaining horrible injuries. Then he will need someone to heal him, and he'll be ready to run off and do that all over again.

At some point before the reinforcements arrive, Lee will be brutally wounded and caught within a Dream Shifter's snare within an abandoned building. Erica Fontaine is the one who will find him there.]

day 1

[It's true that in many ways, the 3DMG was only a burden out in the main battlefield. It wasn't meant to be worn during long travel on foot, but it wasn't exactly as if the Malnosso had provided proper horses for them.

However. Even if the gear was weighing Petra down, she was not about to consider the idea of being piggybacked all the way to the city. No way.]

Thank you, but it wouldn't be that practical. I'll be fine once we make it into the city, they made us run in this during drills sometimes, so it isn't that heavy, I promise.

day 1

[He frowns at Petra. All that gear still does like awfully heavy.]

Are you absolutely sure, Petra-san? I can carry you with ease!

[petreefied]

[It is quite heavy. However, Petra still has some common sense and dignity.]

You're not wrong, but you should conserve your strength. There's no reason to go so far when I can take care of myself.

[niceguypose]

Petra-san... [He stares at her for a moment... and then he flashes a thumbs up!]

I'll believe in your strength! Let's move onward!

[petreefied]

[no lee that only ends in tears]

And I'll believe in you, Lee. Let's go, they won't be waiting for us.

[and splats]

Yosh! [And Lee starts to sprint off - but he won't be going too fast at first, to make sure Petra can catch up with him.]

[Day 3]

[Neji knows what it looks like when Lee opens the Gates -- from the inside, the boiling mess of chakra under his skin that will slowly break down every part of him if loosed for too long.

He knows that Lee will need cover to come back from that once it's hit.

So once he picks up that bright flash of energy boiling in the shape of a lean, fast-moving ninja, he'll power his way across the battlefield to his teammate, fighting at his side and ready to provide him the cover he'll need when the Gates finally close.]

[Day 3]

[Rock Lee had intended to tap into the Gates very sparingly, but the Cultists were quickly proving to be to be too tough as foes. He had to go into the sixth gate to destroy an Elite, and now he was fighting off the Elite's remaining foot soldiers, as the Gates started to close.

With around a fifth gate's level of power, he was still a formidable foe. He jumped at such a speed that he seemed to be flying through the air, bombarding the current enemy with some thick and quick punches.]

[Neji moves around Lee, fluid in contrast with Lee's sharply angular movement. This is what he loves, although the situation is grippingly desperate. The two of them are working in concert, tightly-connected teammates who know each other deeply and well, each knowing how the other moves and how to work with him best.

If only Tenten were there to be laying cover fire as well, targeting at a distance while they get up close and personal.

Four quick hits slam into a cultist trying to take Lee from behind; he goes down, howling in pain as his organs rupture. Neji's not holding back.]

Day 2 ofc

[misterbrief]

[He's finally made his way to the northern entrance, with a certain ninja in tow, hanging up in the trees near the river so as to get a good look at what they were exactly looking at.]

Listen, do you see what I'm seeing? They've really got this place fortified, but it won't matter for them in the end. Hmmmm. [It's crawling with cultists. More than what the two of them could handle alone.]

[Lee is perched on one tree branch as he looks towards Vegeta. There's enough Cultists there that even Lee feels a bit of fear, especially as he remembers the fierce battle that ensued before the bomb hit. He looks towards Vegeta seriously.]

What do you think we should do? [he's come this far, but he wonders if Vegeta is reconsidering his actions.]

[misterbrief]

[It's a low, evil laugh that comes out as he tells Lee his plan.]

Well, if they want a fight, they'll get it. I think luring them out and making them think the MSF have assaulted their front gate would serve us well. And I've got just the thing.

[But his smile suggests more. This was more for his own personal revenge, for what they did to him and the people he cared about.]

[It sounds like... some sort of diversion? Lee stares at Vegeta. He feels uncertain, but he trusts Vegeta, and Vegeta seems to know what he's talking about.]

You have a special trick up your sleeve? [He speaks covertly with loud whispers.] I can't wait to see it!

[misterbrief]

[He glances over.]

I'm sure you've seen this before. But perhaps not on this scale. [His smile curves upwards into an evil grin, hands forward now, collecting energy.]

Get ready, hordes of them will be streaming out of those gates and we'll be the ones they contend with. Then we can make each individual one of them bleed. [And with that, he lets his blasts go, aimed at the two towers- blowing them to smithereens. The explosion is loud, rocking the entrance to Zompania, as he jumps down from their position in the tree.]

Day 4

[With her machine gun in hand, Erica heads towards the abandoned building. It's possible anyone who was wounded during the fighting could have headed inside, so he goes along to check and make sure there isn't anyone in need of aid. She moves carefully into the building, peering inside from behind the wall outside before going in with her weapon raised. It's once she's inside that she finds Lee trapped inside the barrier of a dream shifter.

She takes a moment to prepare herself, taking a deep breath and looking over her weapon before she enters the spherical barrier.]

The world within the sphere could not be any more different than the dark, dreary and bloody land of Zompania. It was a colorful and vibrant landscape that was full of like (and youth!). It was Konoha Village, looking peacefully as ever.

Looking up, one could see the mighty mountain bearing the faces of all the Hokages. The primary difference is that this mountain has a sixth face: that of Naruto's, which is gigantic and smiling. His mouth is open wide enough that a roller coaster runs through it!

In fact, a cart runs down the rails as Erica enters and comes to a stop where the rail meets the ground near her arrival point. Seated in the cart is a chipper pink-haired girl who is wearing a green jumpsuit like Rock Lee's. "Hello! Welcome to Konoha Village! Are you here to join the Rock Lee fan club?"

[Once she's inside, Erica falters. It really is a huge contrast from the battlefield outside. The place has a sort of pleasant calm about it that she can only hope Zompania will have someday.

... Calm except for the rollercoaster that is. This must be an amusement park! It would certainly explain the faces on the mountain side in that case, perhaps they're a sideshow. The sixth face especially catches her attention as she ends up recognising Naruto from their time working at the convenience store.

She's still staring at the mountain when the cart pulls up, quickly turning to meet the pink-haired girl once she addresses Erica.]

Ah, thank you for the welcome! [She really can't help but give a cheery, high energy response despite the situation.] I... Yes, I would like to join the fan club. Does this mean I'll be able to meet Rock Lee himself if I join? [... Probably should have asked if she could see him before saying she would join.]

"Of course!" Sakura says with a smile. "Rock Lee likes to meet all of his fans personally." And she pats the empty seat on the cart. "Come on board, and the next stop will be the club's headquarters!"

[secretmiracle]

That sounds just like him, doesn't it? Wanting to meet everyone. I can see why he has a fan club!

[It's hard to say if she's just playing along with Sakura or if she's being sincere and genuine. She really does seem to be swept up in this fan club/amusement park idea.

Erica turns around quickly to stow Gabriel in the holster under her skirt before sliding in the cart.]

I think the thing to do now would be to hold our arms in the air and scream with joy, wouldn't it?

day 3

[wipesfaith]

[While the search for the bomb ensues, Jean focuses on clearing the streets of cultists until he receives further orders. To avoid burning up too much energy too quickly, he's selective with the fights he picks - he doesn't intend to start a reckless streak here and now. If he tries to do everything, he'll get nothing done.

As he's scouting from the rooftops, his attention is grabbed by a...green and orange blur fighting a cluster of cultists. It takes a few moments of open staring to realize that he knows that green blur. Lee seems to be handling himself fine, but it couldn't hurt to help - more cultists could be swooping in on him within seconds.

So he readies the blades of his 3DMG and (quite literally) launches himself into the fray, slicing the wings of a cultist midair as he zips past, pulled by the iron cables and propelled by the compressed gas. He purposely does not cut the wings off at the base, so while it's gotta hurt like hell, it won't kill the soldier instantly - nor is the drop to the ground enough to do more than knock her out, which is a mercy at this point.

He still doesn't feel too great about it.]

day 3

[Rock Lee avoids killing when he can. But he does love fighting in general. With his dazzling speed and strength, he focuses first on disarming Cultists before trying to beat them down in hand-to-hand combat.

He hears the slicing of wings and turns to face Jean while his current opponent is knocked back for the moment. Lee gives a confident smirk to his friend.]

So... Jean-kun has joined the fray! [At that time, the recovered Cultist charges at Lee, and Lee eagerly rushes back at him, resulting in the two grappling with each other.]

day 3

[wipesfaith]

[He spins around to face Lee as he skids to a halt on the roof opposite of where he started.] I wasn't gonna stand back and let everyone else do all the fighting!

[There's not much time for talking - two of the cultists that had been swarming Lee have also taken notice of his arrival, and he has to dodge their spears, deflecting their jabs with his blades.]

day 3

I am glad to fight by your side! [Lee still finds time to talk as he tries to overpower the Cultist. At the same time, another enemy tries piercing him with a spear from above. Lee releases his hold on the first Cultist to leap to the side, and the spear is stuck in the ground as a result.

Lee nimbly jumps forward, grabs onto the lodged spear and then spins around it while delivering kicks to the faces of both Cultists.]

[He's not from one of those anime where people carry out long conversations in the middle of battle, and thus, it is a talent he sadly lacks...

Jean aims his blades for the wings of one of the cultists, but the cultist turns and counters with a swing of his sword - which Jean narrowly avoids by leaping back, and he has to stay on the defensive as the other aims for his shoulder. Shit...the longer this goes on, the more likely he is to get hurt again.]
