It's early morning in the quiet enclosure that will someday become Luceti. The sun is rising, birds are chirping in that annoyingly cheery way that makes you want to shoot them out of the trees, and the residents are beginning to wake up. Most of them are heading to work, either to farm, or to build, or to work the shops, or even just to prepare a nice breakfast for their families and neighbours. Everyone has something to do.

And then, out of nowhere, a couple hundred strangers show up in the middle of the woods.

At first there is confusion, and no shortage of caution, from the neighbours; newcomers are common enough, but usually they are announced beforehand, and never in such great numbers. The leaders of the town are called in to ask questions. The newcomers are free to explore, but any aggression will be met in kind; if need be, the Filial of the past will defend their homes. They're hoping it won't come to that, however. You're stuck with one another for a long time, after all.

Thankfully, there is one man who might be able to bring the natives and newcomers together: Tyr.

...And the other guy, maybe. We'll see.

[Kohaku had arrived without taking anything with her. She had to trust that the pets would be okay, but other than that, she's pretty well suited for living in just about any time.

She will be looking for anyone she knows though, to make sure they're alright. But she also can't help but wonder around at first. Everything's not horribly different, but it is odd to see a house she just left completely gone...

And a little later she can be seen flying around to get an even better look at things, though not as high as she normally would.]

[spiritwalking]

[A shadow passes overhead and Jinora instinctively looks up. It could be that Momo or Furry-Foot did accidentally end up here or it could even be grandpa on his glider. But it's neither even though it's still someone she knows.]

Kohaku.

[amberguardian]

[Oh there's a familiar voice! And it's just easier for her to turn upside down to see before she waves.]

Hello!

[spiritwalking]

[With an burst of air, Jinora leaps lithely into the trees until she can jump along the branches to keep up with Kohaku.]

What are you doing?

[amberguardian]

[Well, she didn't expect that! She'll fly slower so Jinora can keep up easily.]

Mostly just seeing how different everything here is now.

[blackteriques]

[From his perch in a tree, Walter spots Kohaku while he tries to orient himself with their new-and-yet-old surroundings. He nods at her and speaks as she passes close by.]

Looking for someone?

Sort of, and I'm trying to see where everything is.

[blackteriques]

Things seem ... smaller.

[Eloquent as always. He can't even see the mountains in the distance anymore, leaving him looking for clearings in the trees for signs of civilization.

He looks at the way that Kohaku is flying.]

Is that as high as you can fly right now?

[amberguardian]

Really? I think it's just that there's less things here.

[She'll look at the ground a moment before back up at him.]

There's a different powercap here...I'm being careful just in case.

Even several years back, we could at least see the mountains.

[Maybe they were supposed to keep that whole 'being from the future' bit a secret -- he didn't actually know. What he does know is that what was a usual landmark for him was no longer in plain sight.

He gives the rising sun a skeptical look before starting over to a branch to see if he could make his way to the next tree over. It was hard to treat the seen sky seriously after knowing the moon had once appeared to fall out of the sky and onto the village.]

I think we've gone back than just a couple of years.

[At least a hundred-ish she could guess, by how everything was laid out. Especially with the home she lives in not even built yet.]

[blackteriques]

[He frowns at that, trying to remember the specifics of what that "John" had said. Once he's crossed over to the next tree, he steadies himself against the trunk while he reaches for the journal usually strapped underneath his cloak.

He flips the book open, frowning in confusion when he discovers the pages are empty. His brows knit together as he continues flipping, only seeing blank page after blank page.]

What in the world...?

[They had brought with them all the tanks of gas that had been accumulated, and given that there probably wouldn't be any immediate way to resupply, they've had to relegate the use of the 3D maneuver gear to emergency use only. It's definitely frustrating as it means scouting takes much longer to cover the same amount of ground, but should anything happen, they'll need it.

A strange movement catches his eye up above, and he looks up to see...a person, floating (flying?) in the air. He might be a tad envious, with his feet grounded until further notice.]

See anything interesting from up there?

[amberguardian]

[Spotted by another person. She is definitely not used to it, so she looks a bit surprised when she stops and looks down at him.]

Just less buildings so far.

[reviling]

[Fewer buildings aren't surprising, but he's more looking for something that would seem out of the ordinary, since he can't really confirm that for himself.]

Nothing that looks weird otherwise?

[ignoring the fact that they may very well have very different ideas about what is 'weird']

I don't know what would count as weird...since Luceti is pretty weird, and we're in the past.

[So just about everything is weird.]

[reviling]

[Point.]

Does anything stand out as especially strange to you?

[and a pause.]

And since I know these wings aren't worth shit, could you also tell me how you got up there?

[amberguardian]

Not much...It's mostly what you'd expect when going back in time.

[And if it sounds like she's been in the past somewhere before, it's because she has.

And give her a moment to think. She's never been good at explaining this part.]

...Might you know what an angel is?

[reviling]

[Truthfully he doesn't know what to expect, except that perhaps his world is somehow 'in the past', according to this change. Does that mean that they do, eventually, eliminate the Titans and humanity thrives?

He folds his arms, shifts his weight to one leg and shakes his head.]

No. Doesn't sound familiar.

[soheartless]

[There's a silver-haired boy in a school uniform watching her attempts at flight. Mytho's raven side is in control, and he is curious about what he sees. He inquires coyly.]

Wherever could you be flying to?

[amberguardian]

[Well, she doesn't happen to hear him, but eventually she does notice she's being watched. And since she can't figure out what else to do, she just waves.]

[ravenousheart]

[He waves right back, and then he tries to waver her over.]

[amberguardian]

[Alright, she'll be right there, landing a few feet away from him.]

Hello.

[ravenousheart]

[And he approaches slowly, a slight smile on his face. And confidence all over.]

Hello. What were you doing just now? I'd like to know...
