Entry tags:

Who: Haku and open to anyone.
What: Bonding with the weather.
When: The morning of the 12th.
Where: Near the river.
Summary: A certain river spirit heard that it was raining, and so went outside to soak it in.
Rating: G for now. Depending on who tags in, the rating might go up. (If 3rd person/narrative isn't your thing, brackets and the like are fine with me! \o/)
Haku skimmed over the pages of the journal, noting the many entries acknowledging the presence of the rain. Some were pleasant, some were not, suggesting that not everyone was fond of the rain.
But as a former river spirit, Haku was fond of everything having to do with water, and so he tucked the journal away where it would stay dry, and ventured out from the forest to the banks of the river.
When he found a location that was quiet enough for his liking, he sat down on the ground, tucking his legs beneath him. The rain continued falling as he sat there, and after awhile, he simply closed his eyes, focusing on the sounds the drops made and the feelings it left on his skin.

So, when she made it to the river she saw someone sitting there at peace, she didn't know whether she should ask him if he wanted to use her umbrella or if she should just leave him alone.
[ooc: Some information about Saga in case Haku has died/almost died/seen someone die before here (http://themovingtarget.livejournal.com/646.html#cutid2). That is if Haku notices her or Saga is brave enough to speak up ♥

But he opened his mouth to make a comment, something in his mind told him maybe speaking what was on his mind wasn't a good idea. And so he said instead, "Hello. Are you lost?"
no subject
"D-do you need an umbrella."
no subject
"No, I'm fine, thank you. I've always enjoyed water."
no subject
bah, sorry this is late
"I hope I don't either. But if I do, I suppose I'd recover soon enough." Haku smiled at Saga, thinking she was an interesting person; she was nice, of course, but there was something that made her seem different than the others he'd talked to.
She appeared human, but Haku remembered what someone told him, that not everyone who looks human actually is one.
"Would you like to go there now?"
It is alright~
"M-Maybe soon. Maybe it is good I got lost."

After a little while's contemplation, she quietly made her way towards him, looking up curiously.]
...Pardon me...
no subject
Oh, hello. Can I help you with something?
no subject
Forgive me for disturbing you... I'm Mrs. Brisby.
no subject
Don't apologize; you weren't disturbing me. My name is Haku. It's very nice to meet you, Mrs. Brisby.

[She says so cautiously, but distinctly curiously]
no subject
What about you? Is there a reason why you came out here?
no subject
[A bit of a nervous laugh]
But I won't be venturing deep into the forest.
no subject
Would you like some help with that? I can go into the forest for you, if you want.
no subject
But I would very much appreciate that, Haku. You're very kind.
no subject
It's no trouble, Mrs. Brisby. I'm happy to help.
no subject
apologies for my lateness
D'aww how could I be mad at Haku
[...Normal one? That's probably not a fair assessment.]
I live in a farmer's field...
<3 it's hard to do, right? XD
Do you live alone?
<3
No, I have four children.

Unfortunately, the boy hadn't really considered the mud. So when he slipped on the ground near the riverfront and slid on his face toward the bank it was a complete surprise.

He got to his feet, and reached for Takato's hand, in case he wanted a hand getting up. "Are you all right?"
no subject
"Don't worry, I'm fine. Just a little clumsy sometimes, I guess."

Haku rubbed his foot into the ground beneath him, enjoying the feel of dirt and grass against his skin. "I suppose they would be worried about you getting sick, but just being out in the rain isn't enough to hurt you."

He hadn't heard her approach him, but when she stopped to watch him, that was when he became aware of her presence. He opened his eyes then and smiled at her.

While it was still a little too cold to go swimming, but there's nothing stopping her from taking a walk along the river. To keep warm Shirley wore a shawl, but she did nothing to keep the rain off of her. Being a Ferines, her damp hair glowed a soft blue. As she walked, she was a little lost in her thoughts; she did not notice Haku, sitting as quietly as he was.

As she continued, Rydia smiled a little at the sound and scent of rain around her. If it didn't strip her mood away completely, it did soothe it a little. Now, if only it was warm rain instead....
At one point, she paid more attention to her surroundings aside from the rain and noticed a familiar figure up ahead. That made her smile return for a moment, as she remembered what pleasant company he had been earlier. Her pace didn't quicken but it didn't slow either, taking her time.

There wasn't a lot to know, because the Malnosso seemed secretive about their real intentions, but that wasn't reason enough to be ignorant. Then, he realized that someone was walking up to him, and he looked to see who it was.
"Oh, hello again, Rydia."

But she hates cold rain, so.... "How have you been settling in?"
spirit of earth in human form meets river spirit in human form. ironic meeting is ironic. :)
The walk from the house he shared with his friends to the forest wasn't that long, but it was a quiet one. The sound of turning page caught Aang's attention rather quickly as he approached the river, and he grinned at seeing the other boy. It was nice to see other people who wanted to just spend some time in nature too. ]
Hey!
\o/ this should be an interesting meeting!
Hello... Enjoying a walk in the rain?
\o\
Yup! Plus, I like coming to see the river. It's really claming.
