[That does it. He picks her up and hoists her over his shoulder and starts walking.]

[ she splutters in indignation and looks very much like a drowned puppy as she emerges out of the snowdrift with chattering teeth. ] Y-You...

I can't believe you'd drop a little girl into a pile of Goddamn snow. [ j'accuse. McCoy even raises her voice a little hoping to spur passer-bys into action. ]

Please. It won't kill you. I only ever had older siblings, and this is more satisfying than I thought it would be.

I just came from the clothing store. [ a gripe, as it turns out, sounds a lot more like a childish whine. ]

Figured you should look the part, I'm guessing.

This might surprise you, but I haven't exactly got a lot of kid's clothes back at home, Kennedy. If I'm stuck like this for a week, I might as well make myself comfortable.

If dressing as a girl makes you feel comfortable, this is a chance you can't let slip by, Doctor.

[Archie looks vastly uncomfortable and will attempt to pry the little fingers off his clothing.] I'll come with you, Doctor. No need to drag me!

[ good luck with that. ] That's more like it.

Let go, damn you! [He ends up shrugging his jacket off but not letting go, now being dragged by the article of clothing like it's a leash.]

[ a bright little smile as McCoy drags him along. ] Come along, Uncle Archie.

[Archie immediately brightens.] See? Isn't that so much better?

No really, no. [ he continues to smile benignly as he says this. ] I'm older than you, damn it.
