DOESN'T NEED A CUT. People should know how this works, if not, just follow other people's lead. I'm gonna set up some strategist threads at the top, for the four strategists to use if they want to, otherwise people should start their own threads.

I guess that's all you can do for those that hope.

[As she speaks, a few of her black cats approach the tied up Third Party solider and sniff and lick him eagerly. Their jewel eyes remain open the entire time, staring at the man as they do so.]

[The pirate dances in and out, just out of reach of the other soldier. He is badly outmatched.]

[ Does not work. But the effort is very appreciated! He'll just straighten up, scratch at the back of his head and then notice that she's over there :|a Jogging to the scene. ]

All that this merits is an "is that it?"

Really?

[ it's a thing she hates to see but joining that particular match would be a worse decision that going after the shifter. the sooner he is out of the way, the sooner she could clean up the one on the ground and give jack a hand. but the important question is whether she can get him out of the way at all.

she stops just short of the shifter's reach. the valentine's fight with kadaj was just over a year ago but she can still remember the shocks of pain and the debilitating hits. it puts more hesitation into her than she is used to. ]

[Nami turns her hand to grip Sayo's right back, giving her what is probably meant to be a reassuring smile, but it's a little strained.

There's fields all around-- nothing huge. A corn field across the way-- maybe. Then her eyes catch sight of the long, shallow ditch partly concealed by the ruined waver, a few low-lying bushes dotting the side.

...it'll do for now. Voice so quiet.] Sayo. [We are heading that way, okay?] Think you can wriggle your way in under those?

I—yes. [She nods, already doing precisely what she knew Nami wanted her to do; where was the strange enemy, though? She scuffles mostly out of sight, and then looks up at Nami, wondering what she's planning to do.]

[Maybe if Yue hadn't been firing arrows at Sanji's targets, he would've kicked first and asked questions later. Seeing one winged-man stand out among the rest is certainly reason for pausing, though - and besides the wings, the outfits don't match.

Well, in that case...

One of the Third Party swoops down upon seeing Sanji, hoping for a quick kill. The blond just grins - look at that, they're helping him with his brilliant idea. The enemy doesn't realize his mistake until too late, either, when his nose is broken and Sanji's got him stuck under his shoe, and he can do nothing but struggle feebly as Sanji lines him up. Just a little closer.... and... there]

Heads up, up there! [Because there's a feathered cannon crashing into part of the Third Party group like a bowling ball]

[The strange enemy is hovering in the middle of the road all terminator-style, methinks. Not that Nami and Sayo have any idea who that is >.> But in light of Nu continuing to search, Nami just crouches down briefly and gives Sayo a smile.] I'm sorry. Stay down and don't look-- don't come out until at least five minutes after it goes quiet, okay? Just-- it'll be okay.

Oh, hey Hughes! [Yes, that's all it merits. 8| Hughes is about to find out why when one of the fighters darts in for a blow to the stomach.

The sword doesn't even graze his suit. Sanji slams his leg down on the neck for a bloodless kill, then gets ready for the next dance.

... You're free to jump in, Hughes. Don't let Sanji steal all the fun]

[She nods,squeezing her eyes shut. Was she going to leave? She was going to fight off... No, that's not right—after helping her like this, it's all her fault Nami has to face someone. She wants to sit up in disbelief and try to talk her into maybe just hiding away, too, with her, but she can't bring herself to budge toward that plan of action.]

... Okay...!

[It's not going all that well for Sparrow. He has landed a few superficial cuts and taken a few as well--to the arm, the side, the jaw. His quickness and canniness are keeping him in the game.]

[At one point, though, he seems to catch a break; he darts in and opens a long, bloody gash along the elite's throat.]

Cross still has half, but I can rely on the guns if all else fails—plenty enough for now.

[He's also got his rockets, but he has a feeling you'd bitch and moan about him being a shitty preacher if he tried to use them effectively.]

They're closing in preeeetty fast.

[And celebrates maybe too early.]

[ Sigh.

Another Shonen.

He really should have expected this kind of thing out of you, upon looking back. ]

[Well, so much for that idea. And she's not going to shirk help, though can't help but stare in concern.]

If you don't mind...though are you alright? You look ill.

[And doesn't realize his foe is still more than capable of delivering a crushing blow to his knee...]

I CAN'T MOVE MY ARMS!

[And of lifting him clear off the ground by the throat. Until it is too late.

Sparrow kicks and struggles in his grip as the elite soldier laughs at him.]

Nu isn't stupid. She'll find this place for long. Why she's still standing in the road, Nami's not sure. Scanning...? She compared Nu and Noel to pacifista, years ago.

She'll take the time to snap the climatact together properly first. It makes for good defence. Today she has a better offence.

The mirage in the middle of the road has long since faded. Nami paces a good distance away from Sayo's hiding place... before she lets her own mirage drop, making a mad sprint for the corn field.]

[A disapproving frown.]

You're welcome. [You don't own this battlefield, woman!]

Maybe you should learn to SHUT UP!

[He speeds up his Clown Copter to fly next to this plane, while staring at Nu. He thought that was a girl. But she sounds pretty manly.]
