I'm all right...

[He's fairly certain. It's always jarring to wake up somewhere he hadn't been, but this time in particular it was even more so, and... well, a bit painful besides. But he's conscious, he can move, and he's aware of where he should be even if he hadn't expected to actually see it. As he cautiously pushes to his feet, taking stock of what hurts where and how much, his hands brush a bow and arrows that apparently fell with him (unharmed, thankfully) and he blinks -- was that what Yue had meant, when he'd said he'd "taken care" of things?

There isn't time to stop and think about it, though. He can see the strange winged fighters approaching, and they aren't going to leave him time to wonder if he can actually use the bow against anything other than a practice target.]

Sanji-san, they're coming.

[And with that urgent warning habit takes over: without conscious thought he strings the bow, draws out an arrow with quick, practiced movements, his attention fixed on those approaching. Questions can (and likely will) come later, once they're out of danger.]

[Now that he's stopped moving, the sheer amount of PAIN PAIN PAIN is catching up to the lieutenant. But pain is something he bears fairly stoically. He's pale and tense and stiffly attempting to obey Sayo's orders when Jack arrives.]

It isn't even that he cares that much about his own safety-- he doesn't want Sanji to get hurt for him. For that, he'll fight.

There's arles gathering, flickering around his body as he prepares to cast, though it falters a few times, interrupting the spell. It's proving far harder than he'd thought to concentrate, even more so now that they're surrounded like this.]

Alright. Type O. Negative or positive? [He will type later to make sure. O neg was what he was going to give you anyway, but you type anyway, regardless. You type even when they swear to God. Because there's always that chance they're wrong.] Mister Vash, have you been transfused before?

[Because even regular O neg then might not be safe. The ABO and RH blood groups are not the only antigens acting as barcodes on the red blood cell to be concerned with - they are only the ones well known. In total there are over 30 different blood groups to be concerned with. And a person might develop antibodies to any of them - rarely is a person's true blood type the exact same as the donor's. And the more transfusions, the greater the chance is that those antibodies have been formed.

And some of them do kill... over a process of days, rather than near immediately like the ones of the ABO.

So while he has antigen negative O neg units that are safe for the situations like this, he needs to know just in case there IS a reaction anyway. So he can intervene before things turn deadly.

In a perfect world, he'd have someone already doing a screen for those antibodies. But.

Gaangs of the Farmland - Day 2

[It's the second day of battle, still early in the morning. So far today has passed with only some minor skirmishes. Right now Sokka is out by the south eastern point of the distro-center to meet with Suki and Katara, so he can pass on enemy movement updates to them. And maybe so he can selfishly check up on them too. It had only been a few hours, but he hadn't seen either one of them since leaving the dorm that morning. For now he'll just stick by the river, hanging near a watermill as he waits for them to show.

What he doesn't know is that this spot isn't as secure as he thought. The Malnosso intel report on enemy movement on this area is sadly out of date.]
