DOESN'T NEED A CUT. People should know how this works, if not, just follow other people's lead. I'm gonna set up some strategist threads at the top, for the four strategists to use if they want to, otherwise people should start their own threads.

[He's been here the whole time. And he notes the accelerated healing, but doesn't comment. People from his world tend to mend quickly too. And while the cut itself might not been too bad by your standards, the things that could have gotten in there are more than concerning. The last thing he wants to deal with is something like Staphylococcus aureus or Group A strep, or one of the Clostridiums getting a hold in there.

Because necrotizing faciitis or gas gangrene with a side of bacteriemia would really make his day.

So he is very careful cleaning out and disinfecting that wound before stitching it closed.

He is also starting the treatment of your blood loss by giving a shot of albumin. It would also suck if you passed out on him due to hypovolemic shock due to a rapid decrease of blood pressure. The albumin should start getting things on that front to a healthier equalibrium. Draw out any excess fluids forced in the tissues back into the bloodstream.]

I think I'll take a look at those in a few minutes, if you don't mind. See how they're fairing.

We should seek out those Shifters. I prefer fighting with magic, but we need to take out as many as we can, for the sake of those who rely on magic as their only strength.

[Take the reigns? Of a GRYPHON? Archie has ridden a horse, but...well, come to think of it, he did drive a tractor yesterday. With knives all over it. This shouldn't be too hard.]

[Fortunately for Jack, the Shifter had made up his mind that the pirate was out of the fight. He was closing in on the struggle between the Elite and the Slayer, giving Sparrow a window of opportunity to take his wings as a trophy.

Jack staggered up behind the unaware Shifter and sliced cleanly through the his feathers, dropping him. The glowing eyes closed. Whatever hold he had had over Buffy, the pirate hoped, was broken.

There is no time to wonder about this, or to gloat over the victory. It is now Jack's turn to buy Buffy some time. To be a distraction. He hefts a dagger in his hand before hurling it at the Elite's back, burying it to the hilt deep into the joint of his wing. When he yells, his voice is hoarse, brutalized from the soldier's grip:]

[Sayo offers a reassuring smile—in her experience, smiles help, even when someone's injured; something easing about them, she thinks. Hopes.]

I have you to thank, for lending me your expertise.

[At least her hands have calmed, and her heart seems to settle, though she still worries for Archie's health. She quietly prays there's no more interruptions from the enemy as they go.]

Let's just say there's over a billion people back home that'd be pretty damn disappointed if Jack Horner got done in so easily.

With a determined look, he jerks on Gurren Lagann's controls, the Spiral gauge returning to life and glowing brightly. A moment later a hefty-looking drill replaces the right hand, spinning like crazy and ready to go.]

[Adell frowns.]

Unfortunately those Shifters probably mess with my abilities too. Not like I haven't fought against a bunch of enemies without my powers before, but it's a lot dicier. Someone with long range attacks is definitely better suited to dealing with them, as much as I hate to admit it.

[...That's of course not saying he won't throw himself into the fray to defeat a Shifter if he has to. Running's not really his style, but taking unnecessary risks is something he's trying hard not to do.]

Lagann... Impact!

[DRILL SMASH TRACTOR HURR HURR]

[ It doesn't take more than one well-aimed bullet to handle the last one left standing. Hughes keeps a wary eye out as he holsters the pistol and makes his way back over. Plenty of time to spot that finishing blow, but he makes it a point not to flinch.

This is war, after all. It's not the first time he's seen something like it: it won't be the last. This isn't a time for saying he's sorry and there's no room for pitying the enemy. ]

[And then? Without warning? The tractor remains explode with light, the metal creaking and shrieking as it changes shape around the drill that fuels the change. W. T. F. doesn't even begin to cover it, dudes.

And when the light fades, Gurren Lagann is holding a giant, rocket-powered skateboard.

But that also leaves him open as he tries to scramble to unsteady feet and reach for the rapier that's managed to slip from his grasp as he tumbled to the ground...]
