Seriously though there is a Big Ass Mecha (http://www.gainax.co.jp/anime/gurren-lagann/img/mecha_r2_c2_f4.jpg) (in case y'all missed it in the dorms) acting as some seriously oversized back-up to the Hunting group, letting the rest of the gang distract the Shifters by making them halt magic and then charging in to Hulk-smash while they can't de-Shift the Ganmen's technology. Piloted by [Bad username or site: dawndigger title= @ livejournal.com] and [Bad username or site: mischiefbreeder title= @ livejournal.com] simultaneously, it's a monster armed with giant drills that is going to break the faces of whoever gets too close, so keeping your distance is probably a good thing.

Thankfully Gurren Lagann is equipped with transmitters, and Simon asked for some headsets in the dorm, so most people in the group should at least have access to one in case they need to call for some back-up of the Giga Drill Breaker sort.

[It does get rather dull a lot of the time, not that Simon minds so much- he's still not too keen on fighting, and less fighting means less danger for everyone involved. It's unfortunately nerve-wracking to just wait around for something to happen, though, so he's been trying to stay calm as they wait.

Gold's question is a welcome distraction.]

Eh? Um... that's what Leeron said. Lagann takes over the other mecha's systems and changes it so they can work together. It worked with Gurren, and he said it would work with a battleship back home...

I've only ever combined Lagann with Gurren, though! And Leeron said that Lagann could combine with other things! I don't know how to combine something that's already combined!

Well, this is Lagann! It's just Lagann combined with somethin' else! So it should totally be able to combine with more things! [Because that's totally how it works. Sentai shows have taught him this.]

Simon eyes the tractor. He's pretty sure it'll just get smashed if he tries to use the drill on it. But combining it with Lagann won't really combine it with Gurren Lagann... so... what's he supposed to do with it? It's not as easy as Gold makes it out to be! And Lagann's even starting to act up on him, the gauge around the Core Drill wavering a little. Disconnecting them would be a bad idea.
