Summary: People in Luceti wake up as something they weren't before. An elf, a gremlin, a vulcan, or perhaps a mermaid? Try living in someone else's shoes... if they can even wear those.
Rating: Not recommended for those with weak constitutions, raging hormones, shipping goggles, or people just too cool and attractive for this kind of thing.

[It really is. It's strange to hear the animal sounds and not immediately understand them after growing used to the communicating with animals in Luceti.]

Another flying form. I would be envious if I hadn't been in a similar position before. How are you faring?

Other than the lack of being able to communicate, and some pretty poor landings, not too bad. At least I get to see the sun for a while.

[Oops, wait a minute, there's a wing feather out of place. Excuse Derek for just a moment while he preens it into obedience.]

And it's odd to see you like that. But I suppose it's harder to escape a comparison when I still look somewhat human. [He says somewhat, but he hasn't yet seen exactly what he looks like.]

...Been in the mountains for a while. Thought I'd hang around in the trees or something and people watch.
