LET'S. GET. GARDENIIIING.

Who: Everyone!
What: Gardening!
When: Sunday 14th August, all day
Where: Outside the Welcome Centre
Summary: Finally, the time has come to get Luceti's memory garden on the road.
Rating: ...I sincerely hope this won't go above a PG rating.

Early on Sunday morning, Link can be found outside the Welcome Centre - gathering seedlings and seed packets, setting aside a willow sapling, laying out gardening tools. When it's still fairly early by the standards of most people, especially for a Sunday morning in summer, the following message will go out over the journals:

"Hi, everyone! D'you remember the garden I talked about earlier? Well, all the beds have been dug and I've got lots of plants, so come over to the Welcome Centre today and plant something for your friends that have gone home!"

If anyone heads on over, they'll find Link sitting back and relaxing, keeping an eye on the piles of gardening implements, small pots of seedlings and packets of seeds and a collection of bulbs, and a large sheet of paper and bundle of pencils. Across the top of the paper, the words, 'Leave a message for friends!' is written, and Link has already written the first message - 'Hi Vivi, I hope you like the gardens! Love Link'.

There will be snack runs over the course of the day. And if he can convince certain people, live music. Remembering friends, being outside on a sunny day (refreshing after yesterday's storm!), nice food, and music - what could be better?

((OOC: Forward-dated to Sunday. Open to everyone, mingle away! If anyone has questions or needs help or wants to know WTF is going on, Link will be on hand for the whole day to keep an eye on things.))

If it ever happened again, Grune would be so doomed.

She always loves it when Giles takes her hand. It makes her feel extra close to him. There's just something so comfortable about being with a very good friend like this.

She laces their fingers together and says, "Yes, he did a very good job. Everyone looks like they're having so much fun."

I...yeah, I'm not sure I could play that out. He might not eat her, but it would still be bad.

"I agree. Everyone always seems to do well when they have something besides an experiment to focus on. I certainly do. It at least makes life a little less routine."
lostinmyway: (This is nice.)

Possibly the worst part would be that Grune would forgive him, instantly and completely.

"And it's good when everyone can work together and help each other out." That's even more fun than planting flowers.
consultmybooks: (Attentive)

That would indeed make it x10000000 times worse

"Luceti is very good about that. Working together and helping one another out, I mean. Especially during, um, bad times.

...I remember that there was one experiment where I, um, couldn't really go back to my apartment. I wound up staying with different people, most of whom I'd never properly met before then."

Halloween. Gotta love it. Jackie Faber and Sano aren't in the village anymore, but the help was most heartily appreciated at the time.
lostinmyway: (This is nice.)

And then she would bake him a cake to cheer him up from being traumatised...from attacking her.

She's not quite sure why Giles couldn't go home to his apartment, but one thing is clear:

"Oh, it was very nice of your friends to let you stay with them."
consultmybooks: (Curtain Call)

Which would make it worse. Grune, why you do this?

Giles couldn't go home because there were hallucinations and nightmares and voices trying to drive him to the point of insanity or death. He'd...never been terribly fond of the place after that. He'd never been fond of it at all, having never wanted to stay in Luceti as long as he did, but Halloween had been one of two nails in that particular coffin.

"Yes, it was. Helios and Frederic have let me stay with them since I came back. Everything has been going...much better, since then."
lostinmyway: (Tender.)

Because she loves you, Giles.

"I'm very happy to hear that," she replies. The words aren't said lightly, the way they might be with someone else. Right now, nothing makes Grune happier than to hear that Giles is doing much better.
