Where: Outside the Welcome Centre
Summary: Finally, the time has come to get Luceti's memory garden on the road.
Rating: ...I sincerely hope this won't go above a PG rating.

Early on Sunday morning, Link can be found outside the Welcome Centre - gathering seedlings and seed packets, setting aside a willow sapling, laying out gardening tools. When it's still fairly early by the standards of most people, especially for a Sunday morning in summer, the following message will go out over the journals:

"Hi, everyone! D'you remember the garden I talked about earlier? Well, all the beds have been dug and I've got lots of plants, so come over to the Welcome Centre today and plant something for your friends that have gone home!"

If anyone heads on over, they'll find Link sitting back and relaxing, keeping an eye on the piles of gardening implements, small pots of seedlings and packets of seeds and a collection of bulbs, and a large sheet of paper and bundle of pencils. Across the top of the paper, the words, 'Leave a message for friends!' is written, and Link has already written the first message - 'Hi Vivi, I hope you like the gardens! Love Link'.

There will be snack runs over the course of the day. And if he can convince certain people, live music. Remembering friends, being outside on a sunny day (refreshing after yesterday's storm!), nice food, and music - what could be better?

Hijiri arrives in a little while and looks around for Sheik.

Sheik's just finished planting the wildflowers, and he waves Hijiri over. Come look and see what he picked out for Duo, Hijiri!

Hijiri hurries over to see what Sheik has got.

As soon as Hijiri is close enough, Sheik carefully lifts the black iris he'd picked out.

"Do you like it?" Sheik asks softly. "It suits him, I believe."

Hijiri smiles as it reaches out to gently take it. "It really does. It does..." And he gets a little teary.

Sheik manages a little smile himself and reaches for Hijiri's hand. "Let us find a place to plant it."

He lets Sheik take his hand. "Let's go then!"

"I would like you to decide." Sheik gave Hijiri's hand a squeeze. "I picked the flower, after all."

He looked around. "What about over there?" He pointed to a sunny spot near the entrance of the Welcome Centre. "He's always been such a friendly person and he'll be able to greet everyone there."

Sheik smiled softly. Of course. "That is the perfect place, then." He tugs Hijiri along to the spot and kneels down. He digs out a hole to plant the flower in.

"...Go ahead." Plant the flower, Hijiri.

"Okay." He gently settles the plant into the newly-dug hole.

Sheik scoops handfuls of dirt and presses it gently around the roots until the plant could stand alone. That done, he settles back.

Hijiri stands up and moves back a bit to survey their work. "I think it'll be very happy there."

"I do too." Sheik stands as well and moves to stand beside Hijiri. "It looks happy there."

He nods and smiles a bit. "Yes..." Then falls silent for a bit, deep in his own thoughts.

Sheik allows Hijiri to have his moment of peace, and takes the time to reflect a little himself. After a little while, he gives the other a soft nudge. "Hijiri?"

He looks over with a little smile. "Yes?"

"Are you all right?" He seemed so, but at the same time...

[akumanotrill]

"Yeah, I'm fine! Well, I guess we're done here. What do you want to do now?" And just going to be all cheerful now because he has to be.

[ombra_lira]

"If you are certain." Sheik would argue that Hijiri doesn't have to keep up appearances around him.

"I will have to return to the clinic soon." He doesn't sound happy about that at all. "Perhaps you would like to take me somewhere before then?" Please?

"I'm certain." He believes it will be better this way.

"Sure! Where would you like to go?"
