Summary: What's a summer without going on a trip to the beach at least once?
Rating: PG13+? Depends, really.

[When one enters the beach, if they're the type of people to make beelines for food as soon as they step into a party, they'll notice that there are a few tables set up with a bunch of snacks laid about, along with a giant cooler residing at the end of the table. There's a barbecue going on too, though it'll be self-serve if you're hungry.]

[Otherwise, there's a bunch of sporting equipment laying about. A Frisbee, a few volleyball nets... Whatever you'd like to be there! Don't forget, there's always swimming in the ocean, too.]

[Enter one blue monkey-like dude who is still drenched, but fortunately he doesn't look entirely like a wet rat. Thank goodness his fur is thinner in the summer. Still, he's regarding the dangos curiously as he approaches her.]

Hey, what are those? [His tail swishes behind him as he asks, like it often does when he's curious.]

When I saw an e-mail notif pop up with your username, I cracked up. js.

[She looks up at the blue bamf /shot to see who was asking. Normally she'd freak out a bit buuuut she's growing quite used to the people in Luceti. Instead, she smiles.]

It's the Big Dango Family! I don't know if the world you're from has them, but dangos are like little dumplings on a stick. The Big Dango Family is a mascot for them, though! Aren't they cute?

[bamfing]

[The not freaking out is good. Though as always he quietly wonders what she probably thinks he is. That's always the depressing part of no reactions.]

They kind of look like candy like that... too bad there's no real ones, yeah?

[It's okay, she has no idea what to think he is, anyway. It's certainly not anything negative, though!

She glances at her adorable sandy dango creations.] I guess they do kind of look like candy! I actually brought some real ones that I bought earlier with me. Would you like to try some? [She pulls a couple out of the bag next to her and offers them to him.]

[bamfing]

[Anything that isn't 'human' is negative for him, alas.]

Oh, sweet. Thanks. [He'll twirl the treat for a moment, then pop it into his mouth to try.]

[Daw. I'm not familiar with him, so I'm kind of curious- What is he?]

You're welcome! [She waits for a bit to see whether or not he likes it.]

[bamfing]

[He's a mutant! More or less. He's basically human.]

Hey, these are pretty good. What's it made out of?

[Oooh, gotcha!]

Yaay! I'm glad you like it! [She smiles.] They're made from rice flour. These particular ones have some more ingredients though, since they're colored. The pink one is by red beans, the yellowish one by eggs, and the green by green tea.

[As she explains, she points to each dumpling respectively.]

[bamfing]

[Interesting. Rice colored by other foods.]

I take it you're a big fan, yeah?

Yes! I love them very, very much!

[Such an understatement right there.]

[bamfing]

I'm more into burger gut bombs, personally, but nobody makes those here.

[Needs more American cuisine!]

W-wait... Bombs? You like eating bombs? Or even can?

[bamfing]

[Her reaction earns an amused laugh from him.]

Relax! Not real bombs, it's just a name, yeah? It means they're hamburgers loaded with everything. And they're huge.

[cherishedmiracle]

[Her cheeks grow slightly red from embarrassment.]

O-ohh... So they're not real bombs. My bad! They have everything though? Like what?

[bamfing]

Like everything you can put on a burger! [And then he realizes. Culture clash. Not everyone has lived in America for two years and made it their goal in life to be as American as possible.] Have you ever had one?

[IN AMERICA.

She thinks for a moment.] Umm... I have a few times, but it's been a while, so..

[bamfing]

Well imagine two quarter pounds of beef, topped with three layers of bacon, a bunch of special sauce, four different kinds of cheeses, pickles, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, hot sauce, pepper, and special spices. All of that on toasted buns. It's the best.

T-that sounds like a lot! People can eat that much?

[Just the thought of it makes her feel like she's gaining ten pounds.]

[bamfing]

Oh, totally. You just have to be hungry enough.

[cherishedmiracle]

R-really? I don't think I've ever been hungry enough to eat that much.

Does it taste good, at least?

[bamfing]

Oh totally, it's the best. You look at it and think you'll never be able to eat it all... but once you get started...

[He has a normal teenage boy appetite. And teleporting burns a lot of calories.]

[You'd normally think quite the opposite!]

Oh, really? I wonder if I'd be able to eat all of that, then.

[She's assuming that you just can't physically stop eating it once you start. Yeeep.]

[bamfing]

[He wonders too. After all, she's pretty tiny, after all.]

I guess you could go for a smaller one. Not that it really matters, there aren't any here.

Oh, there aren't? [Slightly disappointed. For some reason she would actually like to try one.] Well, you could always make them yourself, couldn't you?
