Summary: What's a summer without going on a trip to the beach at least once?
Rating: PG13+? Depends, really.

[When one enters the beach, if they're the type of people to make beelines for food as soon as they step into a party, they'll notice that there are a few tables set up with a bunch of snacks laid about, along with a giant cooler residing at the end of the table. There's a barbecue going on too, though it'll be self-serve if you're hungry.]

[Otherwise, there's a bunch of sporting equipment laying about. A Frisbee, a few volleyball nets... Whatever you'd like to be there! Don't forget, there's always swimming in the ocean, too.]

We've met, don't worry. Nice guy, don't think he likes me much, but it's okay as long as he's nice to Ginia. [Not that Alice has really given him much of a reason to like her.]

[She gives her a completely puzzled look.]

Why wouldn't he like you?

[Alice plays things off with a small shrug, though her smile fades slightly.]

I might have done some things he didn't approve of on our first meeting.

Oh, really? [She looks mildly surprised, then says:] Have you said you're sorry?

[shadedsunlight]

[There's a long pause before Alice gives a tiny shake of her head.]

That's okay. You just need to say you're sorry, and then everything will be all right.

Is it really that simple?

Oh, yes. Why wouldn't it be?

Alice is about to type back a response before she stops. Is it really that simple? No song and dance routine, just a sincere apology?

I guess it could be? I don't know, it always seems like there's so much more involved. Gifts and stuff.

[She shakes her head.]

As long as you mean it with all your heart, everything will be all right.

[Mean it with all of your heart...]

He's teaching me how to cook tomorrow. Maybe I can apologize then.]

That would be a very good time. [She smiles.] A cooking lesson sounds like so much fun.

I guess so. I've never cooked before, but it'd be good to know. In case I'm out again in the future or have to stay out longer.

Out where?

[shadedsunlight]

Out here. [It's then Alice remembers she never gave a proper description of things.]

Ginia and me, we're two different personalities in the same body. She's the real person, I was developed to protect her.

[Grune blinks.] Oh, that's not right. You're both my friends, so why wouldn't you both be real people?

Because I'm something her mind created. And if I'm out, she can't be out.

Oh, you just take turns, that's all. That's okay.

There's a retort somewhere, but all Alice can do is stare.It greatly oversimplifies the situation and completely ignores the fact mental stability isn't something that should be encouraged, but it makes sense.

You think it's okay for me to be out?

[lostinmyway]

Why wouldn't it be okay? [She's honestly puzzled.]

[shadedsunlight]

Never mind. Don't worry about it.

[Alice smiles, dropping the subject. It's not because Grune wouldn't understand (or forget any explanations), but maybe it's something not worth debating.]

So are you having fun here?

Hey, know if Giles is here?

Oh, yes, I'm having a lot of fun! But I don't know if Giles is here. I haven't seen him yet.

[shadedsunlight]

Glad to hear that. And a pity. I think he'd be pretty cute in a pair of swim trunks. [No shame. No shame at all.]
