A time for merriment and laughter

Who: Everyone in Luceti!
What: The annual musical rendition of A Midsummer Night's Dream that everyone's been waiting for with the party!
When: From 8:00 pm to later into the night.
Where: At the school gym/auditorium and the cafeteria.
Summary: The big time for the play has come, time to put it on then party!
Rating: G to PG-13 at best.

When the audience entered the school gym, there will be a large stage set up with tons of chairs for everyone to sit in. After all were seated, the play began and everything was wonderful for the most part, there were some minor slip-ups here and there. Yet overall, the play was a success. Once the party had finished and the encores were done however, Frederic came out on the stage to make a speech.

"Good evening everyone, thank you for coming out tonight on this glorious occasion. To everyone involved and to all of you our wonderful audience, it has been a pleasure seeing and being with all of you. Now if everyone will turn to the school cafeteria, we can all dine together."

The door to the school cafeteria then opened to reveal a beautiful nature setting with decorations galore all over the place. There will also be a very large table with much food on it with drinks for guests and cast/crew to eat, drink, and be merry. Tonight is a night for celebration, everyone will celebrate with happiness in their hearts.

Ginia is over at the sweets table, for once not lowering the amount there, but adding a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies. She grins and waves over at Helios.

/Great job with the special effects! Want some cookies? Just took them off the cooling rack./
folklorist: (Curious. What is that)

Oh chocolate chip cookies. No. Right must not eat too many of those. They are an exceptionally blatant weakness. Helios nods and smiles at Ginia's signing.

"Oh I really shouldn't. But-but thank you." But they look ever so delicious. Why do you tempt him so?

"I-I'm just glad it went as smoothly as it did." Without and explosions or anything, see?

Because tempting people with freshly baked goods is all a part of being Ginia. Don't they smell delicious? Warm and chewy and filled with chocolate goodness?

/If you insist. But act quickly if you change your mind, they might be gone soon./

Yes, no explosions. A-plus job! /It certainly made for a very magic Midsummer Night's Dream./
folklorist: (Oh is that right)

[personal profile] folklorist 2011-09-19 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes they do and that's not faaair.

"I-I...oh fine." You make it hard not to resist, and his lack of willpower doesn't help. Helios will take one...or two, maybe three for good measure. He smiles warmly at that.

"It's always been one of my favorites. I'm just glad I could do it some justice."
shadedsunlight: (Everything about you resonates happiness)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2011-09-19 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
/I believe you did it more than justice. I've always loved it too. Did a dance version of it when I was younger, it was wonderful. Shakespeare generally is. I've always loved his work./
folklorist: (Ever so curious)

[personal profile] folklorist 2011-09-20 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
"You used to dance?" That makes him tilt his head, thinking.

"But, yes. He's still one of the best playwrights of all time, I think. He certainly gives a lot for people to discuss at least."
shadedsunlight: (Smile like you mean it)

She smiles and nods, snagging a cookie for herself. /I danced for a few years with the local dance company. Did a few theatre shows too./ And by a few years, she really means fourteen years, but modesty is something slowly creeping back into her.

/Wouldn't it be amazing meeting him? Talking to him about his work and getting his perspective on things?/
folklorist: (I suppose that works)

[personal profile] folklorist 2011-09-20 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
"Ah that must have been nice. Then you're probably very good at it." Hm. Helios thinks on that. It would be, so very much so.

"Oh I do think it would be. Amazing and well fascinating too. Just to even get his perspective on things."
shadedsunlight: (Know that I am the luckiest)

Ginia shrugs noncommittally, though her smile says otherwise. All right, so much for modesty, but she can still be polite about it. /It was a lot of fun, I enjoyed myself. I guess I was okay./

/It'd be the chance of a lifetime. It'd be fascinating./

Thoughts of her first meeting with Frederic creep into her mind and her smile turns a bit rueful. Right, he may be famous, but he's still a person too.

/But it would also be interested to talk to him for him. Who he is./
folklorist: (I suppose that works)

"I think enjoying yourself is far the most important part of doing anything." Helios will just finish off that cookie.

"Yes it certainly would be, wouldn't it? Especially if he asked you to work on one of his plays for him." Ah the thought sends a small thrill through him. As bold and most unlikely to happen it may be, it's still an exciting prospect all the same.

"You never quite get the full scope of something or someone from books or articles. It's really only when you talk to them on a first hand basis that you get the true character and personalities of people. Like myths and folklore really. Best left to be told by the people who know them to tell them from experience."

Ginia also silently brightens at the idea of working on one of Shakespeare's plays under direction of the bard himself. There wouldn't be much she could do as far as acting went, but to even be a part of the process in the slightest way, how amazing would that experience be?

/Words well spoken. Some stories are best heard from those who lived it.

Can't you imagine if Frederic and Shakespeare were able to work on a show together? Think about how amazing that would be./
folklorist: (Never seen anything like it)

[personal profile] folklorist 2011-09-23 01:15 pm (UTC)(link)
"That...that would be something, wouldn't it?" Helios thinks about it with an excited air. Chopin and Shakespeare working together on something?

"It would probably be one of the best collaboration to date, or well, in our lifetimes."
shadedsunlight: (Have you ever seen the lights?)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2011-09-24 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
/It would be. What do you think it'd be? A musical? Or perhaps even an opera?/ It's all hypothetical at this point, but Ginia can't help her excitement over the very idea of it. Think of all the things that could be created in such an inspirational rich environment.
folklorist: (Curiousity killed the cat you know?)

[personal profile] folklorist 2011-09-26 01:16 pm (UTC)(link)
"Who knows, who knows. I can imagine that both would be wonderful in either case. Frederic providing the musical numbers and Shakespeare the story." Helios pauses as he takes a bite of another cookie.

"It makes you wonder what they could accomplish with all this new...technology and such around. I've mentioned to Frederic before how much pianos and music have changed. He seemed rather interested with the idea. Theater, albeit, being much the same has still gone through some changes over the years."
