A time for merriment and laughter

Who: Everyone in Luceti!
What: The annual musical rendition of A Midsummer Night's Dream that everyone's been waiting for with the party!
When: From 8:00 pm to later into the night.
Where: At the school gym/auditorium and the cafeteria.
Summary: The big time for the play has come, time to put it on then party!
Rating: G to PG-13 at best.

When the audience entered the school gym, there will be a large stage set up with tons of chairs for everyone to sit in. After all were seated, the play began and everything was wonderful for the most part, there were some minor slip-ups here and there. Yet overall, the play was a success. Once the party had finished and the encores were done however, Frederic came out on the stage to make a speech.

"Good evening everyone, thank you for coming out tonight on this glorious occasion. To everyone involved and to all of you our wonderful audience, it has been a pleasure seeing and being with all of you. Now if everyone will turn to the school cafeteria, we can all dine together."

The door to the school cafeteria then opened to reveal a beautiful nature setting with decorations galore all over the place. There will also be a very large table with much food on it with drinks for guests and cast/crew to eat, drink, and be merry. Tonight is a night for celebration, everyone will celebrate with happiness in their hearts.

Hmm, as long as it has stars slapped all over it Fuuko would probably give it a go. Though singing? Hmm.

"Fuuko would have to think about what sort of instrument to play then. There's a lot of choice after all!" Basically it's a choice between which instruments can hold the most stars. "Though Fuuko can sing! Listen to Fuuko's starfish song!"

And so she begins her own rendition of the Big Dango Family song. Starfish, starfish... (There's more, Nagisa just cut her off~)

No matter how you want to look at it, her singing voice isn't exactly the best around. You might even say it was bad.

Ginia remembers the song quite well, both from Nagisa singing and from Fuuko's starfish rendition during the great Dango and starfish war. It's a simple song. Cute, not the most groundbreaking thing, but it's cute.

Maybe not so much with starfish, but Ginia smiles through the singing. To be honest, she's heard worse.

/That is very cute, Fuuko./
starfishlovesyou: (Oooh)

Fuuko is going to sing her little heart out, she's singing in the name of the starfish after all. Got to make them proud!

"--Big Starfish Family! ...Haah! Phew! Fuuko is done singing for now." Performers are meant to bow aren't they? She bows first before continuing. "What did you think Ginia-san, does singing suit Fuuko?"
shadedsunlight: (Try to hide your hand)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2011-09-20 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
She does get points for passion and enthusiasm. Ginia smiles and applauds lightly for her as she takes her bow.

I think it's something that could be worked with.
starfishlovesyou: (Fuuko wished for this!)

[personal profile] starfishlovesyou 2011-09-20 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Really?! Fuuko might be able to pursue a career in singing?! This has shocked Fuuko, but in a good way!"

Saying she might be able to make a career out of it might be going a bit far, but she's genuinely happy that her voice is workable at any rate.
shadedsunlight: (I live to let you shine)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2011-09-20 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
Career really is pushing it, but hey, all voices can be worked with. Ginia taps her pen against her mouth as she thinks about who may be able to offer voice lessons. Something to look into.

If you wanted to. It's a lot of work though. You have to be really dedicated and practice a lot.
starfishlovesyou: (Shuuto!)

[personal profile] starfishlovesyou 2011-09-20 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
"Fuuko could practice whilst making more starfish! Then Fuuko can hone two skills at the same time!"

Now she's really considering taking up singing seriously. After all, Fuuko is all about dedication. Nagisa might end up with a headache if she comes home to find Fuuko singing about starfish every single day however... Eh, it's a small price to pay.
shadedsunlight: (Should I just get along with myself)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2011-09-20 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Ginia waves a hand over at the starfish in her hand, brows raising in mild surprise.

You made that? Can I see it?

"Yes!! Fuuko made this. Do you like it Ginia-san?"

With both her hands she holds out the starfish. By all means look at it all you want!

"Fuuko is happy knowing someone is taking an interest in the starfish!"

Ginia takes the wood starfish and turns it around in her hands. It's a cute little thing, rough in some areas, but carved with care and some craftsmanship. It's actually pretty good. She smiles and nods as she hands it back to Fuuko.

It's very good, I like it. You know, I think there's still some sandpaper backstage if you ever wanted to smooth it up a little. Do you know how to carve anything else?
starfishlovesyou: (UGUUUUU~)

[personal profile] starfishlovesyou 2011-09-21 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
"Fuuko is ecstatic!! It is very pleasing for Fuuko to know you like the starfish. Perhaps later Fuuko will find some of that sandpaper and smoothen up the starfish!"

When Fuuko gets the starfish back she quickly returns to keeping it close to her.

"Fuuko has carved many other things, like the legendary Nue! It has the head of a snake, body of a monkey..." Her description trails off as she can't remember the details exactly. Oh well. "At any rate, Fuuko tried her best to carve a Nue!"

It turned out looking like a frog.

If you want, I can find it before you leave. Shouldn't take very long.

Her enthusiasm and love for the starfish makes Ginia think of Grune and her love for all things. There's an introduction to be made if it hasn't happened already, though the conversation may become... odd.

That sounds very complicated. I'm sure it looked fine. You did try your best.
starfishlovesyou: (Heehee)

[personal profile] starfishlovesyou 2011-09-21 09:03 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's ok Ginia-san, Fuuko can find the sandpaper. You should stay to enjoy the party, especially if it shouldn't take long!"

Later on she'll wander around backstage to look for the sandpaper that's been left there and take it back to Nagisa's apartment.

"Fuuko thought it was very good too, though apparently it didn't look very much like a Nue... Fuuko still won a wood carving competition with it though!"

shadedsunlight: (Well well well)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2011-09-22 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
You won a wood carving competition? That's very impressive, Fuuko! It really is. Good as she may be with some things, arts and crafts have always managed to escape her grasp.

Is it hard learning wood carving?
starfishlovesyou: (Hey there!)

[personal profile] starfishlovesyou 2011-09-22 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"You think so? The competition wasn't too difficult, Fuuko's opponent was the second weird guy-- Sunohara-san anyway. Anyone who thinks the starfish are ninja stars like him deserve to be defeated." And so justice was served on the part of the starfish! ...He ended up hurting himself with the knife and Fuuko won be default.

"It's a little hard at the beginning, but I've been carving for awhile now." Big smile. Sounds familiar huh?
shadedsunlight: (She's got her halo and wings)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2011-09-23 06:34 am (UTC)(link)
...It's nothing she's going to voice now, but Ginia can see the star fish as throwing stars of sorts. Give it a good edge, even put a blade on it, and you'd have quite the formidable weapon.

A triumphant victory in the name of the starfish.

How long have you been wood carving?
starfishlovesyou: (Weird guy hurr)

[personal profile] starfishlovesyou 2011-09-24 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
If Fuuko one day developed telepathy and found out how many people in Luceti have at some point thought about turning her starfish into weapons then she might die inside. Just a little.

"Yes!! That's right, a triumphant victory!! Fuuko has been carving starfish for a few years now."
shadedsunlight: (When it shines like gold)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2011-09-24 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
No wonder they look so nice. Out of curiosity, why starfish?
starfishlovesyou: (Dreamy Starfish)

[personal profile] starfishlovesyou 2011-09-24 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"The starfish were one of the few things which used to keep Fuuko company! What's more, they're just so adorable, why wouldn't Fuuko carve starfish?"

Going to hug that starfish carving a little tighter now. So cute!
