A time for merriment and laughter

Who: Everyone in Luceti!
What: The annual musical rendition of A Midsummer Night's Dream that everyone's been waiting for with the party!
When: From 8:00 pm to later into the night.
Where: At the school gym/auditorium and the cafeteria.
Summary: The big time for the play has come, time to put it on then party!
Rating: G to PG-13 at best.



When the audience entered the school gym, there will be a large stage set up with tons of chairs for everyone to sit in. After all were seated, the play began and everything was wonderful for the most part, there were some minor slip-ups here and there. Yet overall, the play was a success. Once the party had finished and the encores were done however, Frederic came out on the stage to make a speech.

"Good evening everyone, thank you for coming out tonight on this glorious occasion. To everyone involved and to all of you our wonderful audience, it has been a pleasure seeing and being with all of you. Now if everyone will turn to the school cafeteria, we can all dine together."

The door to the school cafeteria then opened to reveal a beautiful nature setting with decorations galore all over the place. There will also be a very large table with much food on it with drinks for guests and cast/crew to eat, drink, and be merry. Tonight is a night for celebration, everyone will celebrate with happiness in their hearts.

Luckily for Pao-lin, Grune is probably used to people staring at her for no apparent reason--if she noticed at all, that is.

"Oh, I'm from the Legacy. It's a very nice place. What kind of world are you from?"

"I'm from Sternbild," Pao-lin says. "It's a really big city, built on three levels, and it's separated from the the mainland by rivers on all sides."

"Oh, my. That sounds very pretty," she says with a smile. Pao-lin must be happy to live in such a nice place.

"It is, and it's even prettier at night. What kind of place is the Legacy? Is that a city too?" Actually, it sounds more like a name for a ship.

"Oh, no, the Legacy is the ship we all live on," she replies. Good guess, Pao-lin! "It's pretty, too."

Pao-lin tilts her head. "You live on a ship?" Maybe it was like a cruise ship or something. It has to be pretty big to be comfortable, she thinks. "That's pretty cool, but how come you live on a ship?"

"Hmm...." She thinks about that for a bit. "I wonder."

Asking Grune too many questions generally doesn't work out too well.

Yeah, Pao-lin's starting to notice that a little. But she's used to such airheadedness from Sky High.

...ah! That must be why she felt so comfortable around Grune -- the woman reminded her of Keith. Sort of. Pao-lin decides to shift the subject slightly.

"Is anyone else from the Legacy here in Luceti?" she asks.

This is definitely a subject Grune likes talking about, judging from the way her face lights up.

"Oh, all kinds of my friends are here. There's Norma and Fenimore and Stella and Sophie and Moses and Walter and Jay. I'm very glad they're here."

Wow. Grune had a lot of people from her world here. "I guess that makes living in Luceti a lot easier, doesn't it?"

"Yes, it's very nice to have everyone here with me," she agrees. "Do you have many friends here?"

Pao-lin shakes her head. "I don't recognize anyone here from my world. But I've met some nice people since I came here, so I'm happy about that." And she is, but it'd be nice if she had someone like Ivan or Nathan with her too...

She gives her a warm smile. "Don't worry. I'm sure your friends will be here soon. It's good you're making lots of friends here, too."

"Did all of your friends come to Luceti at the same time?" Pao-lin asks.

[lostinmyway]

"Hmmm...." It takes a bit, but eventually, what there is of Grune's memory kicks in. "No, we came at all different times. Norma and Moses came to stay this summer."

[i_am_not_cute]

"Oh, okay. So I guess there's a chance someone else from my world will come later." She still doesn't know how to feel about that idea. Of course she'd like to be with someone she knows, even if it's someone like Barnaby who she doesn't know that well, but this is still kind of not a very ideal situation to be in.

"Oh, yes, I'm sure they will," she says with confidence. It might take a little time, but Grune knows they'll come so they can be with Pao-lin.

"What are your friends from your home like?" She'd like to meet them; she's sure they're all very nice people.

"They're all nice, of course," she says. "Everyone has different interests and personalities, but the one thing they all have in common is that they're really nice people!" Even if it took the good part of a year for one of them to start defrosting, yeesh.

"Oh, I'm very happy to hear that," she says, as though the news that Pao-lin has kind friends has completely delighted her. "You must get to do all kinds of fun things with them."

"Not all the time," Pao-lin admits, though she's basking in Grune's genuine smile. "Sometimes we get really busy or really tired from work, so we can't hang out or talk as much."

The admission doesn't bother Grune in the slightest. "That's all right, as long as you do your best."

Sometimes, people have important things to be doing, so it's okay if they can't see their friends as often.

Pao-lin nods happily. "We always do our best!"

Well, except when it comes to homework. Pao-lin tends to slack off on that sometimes.

That news makes Grune beam even more than she already has. "That's the spirit!"

She can't wait to meet all of Pao-lin's friends!
