A time for merriment and laughter

Who: Everyone in Luceti!
What: The annual musical rendition of A Midsummer Night's Dream that everyone's been waiting for with the party!
When: From 8:00 pm to later into the night.
Where: At the school gym/auditorium and the cafeteria.
Summary: The big time for the play has come, time to put it on then party!
Rating: G to PG-13 at best.

When the audience entered the school gym, there will be a large stage set up with tons of chairs for everyone to sit in. After all were seated, the play began and everything was wonderful for the most part, there were some minor slip-ups here and there. Yet overall, the play was a success. Once the party had finished and the encores were done however, Frederic came out on the stage to make a speech.

"Good evening everyone, thank you for coming out tonight on this glorious occasion. To everyone involved and to all of you our wonderful audience, it has been a pleasure seeing and being with all of you. Now if everyone will turn to the school cafeteria, we can all dine together."

The door to the school cafeteria then opened to reveal a beautiful nature setting with decorations galore all over the place. There will also be a very large table with much food on it with drinks for guests and cast/crew to eat, drink, and be merry. Tonight is a night for celebration, everyone will celebrate with happiness in their hearts.

"N-Not just a swordsman." A hint of pride, there, in the midst of gut wrenching humiliation. "A-And I c-can't dance."

He's looking at her just enough to se what she's signing. That's it.

/Not just a swordsman./ She'll agree with him on those terms, but not the other ones. She quickly takes his hand and tugs him along, walking backwards and still signing.

/You can dance. I'm not asking for much, just a simple little box step./

He nods. He just nods. He doesn't pull away, and he tries to look as...focused and determined as possible about this.

She doesn't drag him off right into the center of things but rather to a quiet spot in the corner with some space for them to work in.

/A box step is very simple, if done correctly, you end up back where you began. Six steps, I'll walk you through them./

Ginia takes up position at his side and takes a step forward with her left foot, waiting for him to follow, before following with her right.

He breathes a soft sigh of relief when they suddenly find themselves on the edge of things. He doesn't reply to the signing, just...follows with one foot, and then the other.

"One...two..."

See? Nothing horrible and traumatic at all. Ginia silently leads him through the six steps, repeating it a few times until she's sure she has it. Then without losing a beat, she steps in front of him and sets her left hand on his shoulder and takes his hand in her right.

Very horrible and very traumatic. Giles is devoting all of his concentration to following the steps, and it's a mercy that he finally has started to relax and let his guard down by the time Ginia takes his hand. At least he's shaking a little less. A faint smile of approval is on his face when she steps in front of him.

He looks up at her, takes his eyes off his feet, panics when he realizes he's done so, and freezes up.

Honestly. A man that's fought vampires and demons and who knows what else afraid of a little ballroom dancing? She really has seen it all. Ginia gives his hand and shoulder a reassuring squeeze as she gives him a tiny tug. She'll lead for a bit to get him moving again, but she's certain this is something he can do.

And Giles will be more than happy to follow her lead. Like always, really. One, two, three, four...he continues counting under his breath, although he's starting to look less at his feet. STarting to hesitate a little less.

More than remembering the steps, confidence is a part of dancing. The assurance that yes, this is something that can be done. Ginia continues to lead gently as his steps become a little more sure. With care and a soft smile, she slowly turns control back to him. After all, the gentleman does lead the lady.
