A time for merriment and laughter

Who: Everyone in Luceti!
What: The annual musical rendition of A Midsummer Night's Dream that everyone's been waiting for with the party!
When: From 8:00 pm to later into the night.
Where: At the school gym/auditorium and the cafeteria.
Summary: The big time for the play has come, time to put it on then party!
Rating: G to PG-13 at best.

When the audience entered the school gym, there will be a large stage set up with tons of chairs for everyone to sit in. After all were seated, the play began and everything was wonderful for the most part, there were some minor slip-ups here and there. Yet overall, the play was a success. Once the party had finished and the encores were done however, Frederic came out on the stage to make a speech.

"Good evening everyone, thank you for coming out tonight on this glorious occasion. To everyone involved and to all of you our wonderful audience, it has been a pleasure seeing and being with all of you. Now if everyone will turn to the school cafeteria, we can all dine together."

The door to the school cafeteria then opened to reveal a beautiful nature setting with decorations galore all over the place. There will also be a very large table with much food on it with drinks for guests and cast/crew to eat, drink, and be merry. Tonight is a night for celebration, everyone will celebrate with happiness in their hearts.

"You sure talk about a lot of stuff I've never heard about." There's a trace of what might be almost jealousy in Kazooie's tone. How dare other people experience things she hasn't?

"But I'm pretty good at sports. Great at Stony kickball! ... Though I had to be a Stony for that; that was annoying. I bet I'd be even better at it as myself!"
i_am_not_cute: (eh?)

[personal profile] i_am_not_cute 2011-09-27 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
"Ah? Stony kickball? What's that?" Sounds like it could kinda be like soccer or football.
talontrot: (aren't i the cutest asshole ever?)

Only a surprisingly fun minigame, but still, Kazooie can ramble about it.

"Well, there're two different colosseums for it with different scoring rules. But basically, you earn a point for kicking a Yellow Ball into a net, and lose a point for kicking a Red Ball into a net.

... In some games, you wanna have the highest score, so you kick Yellow Balls into your own net, right? But in some games you wanna have the lowest score instead - just 'cause they do stuff differently I guess - so you kick Red Balls into your net instead!

... The other balls go into the opponent's nets, so you can make it harder for 'em to win!"

Not exactly the rules, but close enough.
i_am_not_cute: (i guess I'm smiling idk idk)

Ah, the memories of that minigame.

"That actually sounds really interesting!" she says. It definitely sounds like a different version of soccer. "Maybe when I get back to Sternbild" -- when, not if -- "I can try out something like that with my friends." Her face falls. "Oh, but you don't remember your time in Luceti when you go back, apparently, so I guess I wouldn't be able to do something like that..."
talontrot: (i remember better days on the n64)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-09-29 09:50 am (UTC)(link)
"Yeah, I heard about that." Cue awkward floor-scratch with a talon. "I don't know, though. I never saw anybody come back yet.

... Can't say I'd wanna forget stuff like that, though. How'm I gonna relearn it all?"

Kazooie's lucky she's not from Nuts and Bolts.
i_am_not_cute: (they killed bambi's mother?!)

[personal profile] i_am_not_cute 2011-09-29 12:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Pao-lin nods. "It's kind of depressing, isn't it? You could spend all your time here, making new friends and learning all sorts of new things, and then you forget it all when you go back." She sighs. "I guess that's why none of us have heard of Luceti before we came here, because we always forget once we go back."
talontrot: (are you crazy?! wait. yes. it's you.)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-10-01 01:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"It seems like a lame game idea to me," Kazooie says, irritably. "I mean, what's the point? Doesn't the hero go through all the stuff for a reason? And if you forget it all, why'd it even matter?"

This is the closest Kazooie gets to philosophy. Cherish it, Pao-lin.
i_am_not_cute: (this is my thinky face)

[personal profile] i_am_not_cute 2011-10-01 06:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Pao-lin's not sure why Kazooie started talking about games all of sudden, but she can definitely agree about the pointlessness of losing all memories of Luceti.

"I guess that if we get sent home and don't remember anything about Luceti, then we can't use what we know to defeat the Malnosso," she says. "But then why even send us back home in the first place? Why not just keep us here?"
talontrot: (i remember better days on the n64)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-10-03 12:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"Maybe they want us here to do stuff for them," Kazooie suggests, shrugging her wings a bit. "Or they wanna suck our life forces out or something like Grunty tried to do to us. Heck if I know - they're weird and crazy, but they gotta have some reason."
i_am_not_cute: (i'm disapproving as hard as i can)

[personal profile] i_am_not_cute 2011-10-03 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well, I really hope it isn't anything like sucking our life forces out," Pao-lin echoes, shivering a bit. How do you even defend against that? "Though if they were going to do that, they'd probably have done it by now, don't you think?"
talontrot: (are you crazy?! wait. yes. it's you.)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-10-05 11:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Maybe. But they do dumb stuff all the time for no reason, so I can't say when they're going to do much of anything."

Kazooie figures the Malnosso "logic" is about the same as cartoon logic - stuff happens at random and sometimes for no reason other than to further the "plot".

[personal profile] i_am_not_cute 2011-10-06 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
Well, that all sounds very reassuring, except not.

"They're probably being random on purpose," Pao-lin muses. "That way we can't predict what they're going to do, and we can't defend against it."
talontrot: (the npcs i have to put up with...)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-10-08 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
"It works," Kazooie says bitterly. "I've never been able to figure out when they do stuff - it's supposed to have patterns! That's how it usually is, anyway..."

... Video games are used to very specific kinds of combat. And in Kazooie's case it's even more exaggerated.
i_am_not_cute: (it'll be okay)

[personal profile] i_am_not_cute 2011-10-08 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, I'm sure we'll figure something out eventually," Pao-lin says brightly. "For now, though, I guess we should just enjoy this party. The food here is pretty good!"
talontrot: (aren't i the cutest asshole ever?)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-10-08 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
That gets a hearty nod of approval from the breegull. "I bet these are better than Ms. Bottles' scones!"

...

She's still bitter about those stupid scones.
i_am_not_cute: (eh?)

[personal profile] i_am_not_cute 2011-10-09 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
"Huh? What was wrong with Ms. Bottles' scones?"
talontrot: (you mean i don't get a sequel?)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-10-09 11:08 am (UTC)(link)
"Klungo ate them all!" And Kazooie pouts as much as a bird can pout. "He should've saved us some, but the dumb lug forgot all about us while we were busy beating the witch..."
i_am_not_cute: (8|)

[personal profile] i_am_not_cute 2011-10-09 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hogging the food isn't very nice," Pao-lin agrees. "Well, there's a bakery here, isn't there? You can probably get scones there." It's a little after the fact, but hey, better late than never.
talontrot: (i remember better days on the n64)

[personal profile] talontrot 2011-10-10 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
"I could... and Klungo couldn't eat these ones on me!" Mostly because he isn't here to eat them. "Dunno if they'd be as good as Mrs. Bottles', though - guess I'd have to try both to find out!"
i_am_not_cute: (i feel pretty)

[personal profile] i_am_not_cute 2011-10-11 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
Pao-lin laughs, and her attention shifts back to people-watching while nibbling at the rest of her food. It's definitely weird talking to a bird who can actually talk back, but Kazooie is bright and cheerful(ly obnoxious) and it makes Pao-lin feel a bit better about being dropped in Luceti.
