Well, it's not exactly Friday, but...

Who: A whole bunch of people! Seriously, I'm not even sure how many.
What: Kazooie's epic hero party, mentioned here ICly and here OOCly.
When: Today, October 20th, throughout the day.
Where: At the Recreation Centre!
Summary: Kazooie decided to throw the most epic party ever for all the heroes and generally-cool-people of Luceti. Surely this can't go horribly wrong or anything, right?
Rating: Shouldn't go any higher than PG or PG-13 at the absolute highest, unless Terrible Things I Can't Account For happen.

It's the day of the party, and Kazooie is beyond excited. This is her element! And this is something she gets to be responsible for - which in her mind is the equivalent of being able to be bossy about things and in general decide how it runs!

The party is as elaborate as she can make it - with the help of a bunch of friends who probably got roped into this thing against their will, she'll have the place looking fancy and perfect for a party. And with all the delicious food out for everyone - including vegetarian stuff, hopefully, for certain individuals - and the many fun games to play and things to do, this party should prove to be fun for everyone!

(OOC: So here it is! I'm going to have a section for pre-party planning and actual party shenanigans, but seriously, feel free to tag everywhere. Threadjacking is highly encouraged, as is writing in either prose or tag-style. Remember, you don't have to be a hero to join the fun - whether someone else drags your character in, or your character's the type to snoop, or just would've noticed the goings-on - well, feel free to have 'em show up anyway!

"Oh... it's been about a year and a half for me." He says it so casually, too. "It's not really that bad, though, aside from some things."

"... You don't mind being pretty much stuck in the Malnosso-guys' fancy fishbowl?"

Kazooie has no idea how somebody could enjoy being here. Except maybe for the food. And the free lodging. And all the open spaces.

... And maybe the friends.

"Well - I'd like it better without the Malnosso," he admits, "But I've made a lot of friends here. And I don't wanna leave them."

Wait for it... "And I love the bakery!"

She can... actually empathize on all those points. Especially the bakery.

"... Yeah, okay, I'll admit, having all the free food's pretty awesome."

She's carefully avoiding the friend subject, if only because that would mean a. admitting having friends and b. admitting missing Banjo.

Subject duly avoided. "It's really great, huh?" he says with a smile, "And there's a whole lot of types of food that I would have never got to try in Hyrule!"

"Yeah, like poppy seed muffins!" Kazooie says, excitedly. "And the fluffy pastries! Even scones like Mrs. Bottles makes!"

It's enough to make a hero happy for a very long time.

"I really like the fluffy pastries," he nods sagely. "And chocolate chip cookies - and fruit danishes. And dango and pizza and okono..." Give him a moment. "Okonomiyaki. I think."

They're certainly better than forest food, he things.

"... What's dango?" That's not a name Kazooie's ever heard before, and it sounds kinda funny. "Lots of the food here has such weird names."

"It's from Japan. They're these sticky ball things on a stick, and they have all sorts of flavours. We had them at Tanabata!"

He might have. Attempted to try every single flavour available.

Kazooie would honestly have probably done the same thing.

"Tanner-batter, huh... well, if I'm around when that thing happens again, I'm trying some of this dango stuff!"

... Or maybe she could just... get it somewhere. It wouldn't be that hard.

"Okay. You might find some around here!" He makes a sort of... gesture. "There's lots of Japanese people here, anyway."

[talontrot]

"Japanese people...? Like, is that a kind of human-type person or what?"

... She may be from an English company, but Kazooie is horribly blind to different ethnic groups. Vague stereotypes exist in her worlds, but that's about it.

"Well - yeah, they're humans!" Well, for the most part. He's not quite sure how a Shinigami would be classified, to be honest. "They're a race, I think. Like Hylian or Gerudo or something."

"Or breegulls?" She might not exactly get the difference between "race" and "species". Granted, this is understandable when you don't exactly have a racial profile in your games.

Probably because you don't have many humans.

"I guess so! A breegull is what you are, right?"

Tragically, neither does Link. Hylians, Sheikah, Gerudo... Gorons.

"Yep! Red-crested breegull, to be exact! I'm a real special breegull - the only one like me," Kazooie brags, grinning wide. "Guess that's why I'm the star!"

"Wow, there's only one of you?" he asks curiously, then pauses. "Doesn't it ever get lonely?"

"Well, there are other breegulls - mostly on Breegull Beach! That's where I'm from!"

She pauses at the second statement, though, grinning wider even though it doesn't quite reach the edges of her beak. "Nah, I never get lonely. I'm a hero! Heroes don't get lonely."

... Link may know she's lying, though.

"Oh." This is the world's most awkward pause. "But that's not true. I get lonely."

It's kind of an admission he doesn't really want to make, but does anyway for the sake of reassurance.

Oh, well. Kazooie hadn't expected that. It's a little disarming to hear someone put it so bluntly.

"... Yeah, well, I guess somebody has to." She awkwardly shuffles her feathers. "Just... I don't get lonely. 'Cause I'm cool. And stuff."

He frowns briefly, reaching for something else to nibble on. "I guess," he says, tone skeptical, "It just means that sometimes people don't understand because there's no one like you."

Meanwhile Kazooie has always been a weirdo amongst weirdos. A giant talking bird, a giant talking bear, a giant talking mole, and... a guy with a skull for a head.

Yep.

"All people ever need to understand about me is that I'm awesome and a hero!" Kazooie proclaims. It rings a little hollow.

"Oh..." Awkward pause time. He shuffles his feet a little, glancing away. "Um - I'm glad that you're not lonely, then!"

[talontrot]

"If you're lonely, then you should try to make lots of friends! And since you're a hero-type guy, I bet everybody'd wanna be friends with you! Cool heroes always get a ton of friends," Kazooie intones unhelpfully.

... Never mind that this isn't generally how it works.

"I do have a lot of friends here," he concedes. It's not quite the same, in his mind, but it definitely helps. "I was more lonely when I was in Hyrule, though - I like it here."
