Who: Everyone!
What: Thanksgiving + New Feather party.
When: Evening of the 20th.
Where: School cafeteria, nicely done up.
Summary: There's food. And there's also board games, are you game for some Snakes and Ladders?
Rating: Let's put this all over the board. Strange stuff can happen, man.
[Thanksgiving may not be a familiar holiday to most in Luceti, but everyone understands potluck, at least! Hopefully. Preferably.

It's all done buffet-style as usual. Thanksgiving stuff greets you first when you grab a plate and get in line at the buffet lines (food and drink provided by everyone, Thanksgiving stuff courtesy of the Welcome Centre and Ginia). Though of course, don't think that you have to stand in a line while eating! There's tables and chairs for sitting and talking and— eating, obviously. Reach out and grab a drink! If you get one that's been prepared by the Welcome Centre, it's non-alcoholic. Can't really say the same for anything else brought by others, so you may want to be careful. Y'know, just in case.

Uh huh! I made some cookies. [He points at some... kind of burnt cookies somewhere on the buffet.] They're not as good as everyone else's, though.

[Sad part is, that's actually true.]

They...are kind of burnt. But that gives them a nice crunch! [She sincerely means it; she doesn't really like chewy cookies. They always felt undercooked, to her. Though she'll happily eat raw cookie dough.]

Uh huh - sorry about those! I kind of got distracted by the kitten. [IT'S A TOTAL LEGIT DISTRACTION, OKAY.]

Eh? You have a cat? [Pao-lin did not know this. ~~Should she?~~]

Uh huh! Well, I don't really have her, she's my friend. Her name's Foot. She disappeared for a while but she's back now - the kitten that distracted me is one of hers.

Oh, I see. [Hrm...] "Foot" is kind of a weird name for a cat, though.

It is, a bit! But she doesn't seem to mind it too much.

Is she nice? I'd like to meet her.

Yeah, she is! She's here right now, but I don't know where she went - or she's usually at our house. House 49.

Ah, okay! I'll keep an eye out for her, then. Wait...does she talk? [This is a legit question in Luceti.]

[Luceti - and the talking owl and frogs in Hyrule - are why Link doesn't even bat an eyelid at it.] Uh huh - but she talks in your head, she doesn't make proper words out loud. It's kind of strange the first time.

Huh...that is kind of weird. Animals definitely don't talk where I'm from.

Oh... that's strange. Only some do in Hyrule, but lots do in Luceti.

Really? I haven't heard any of the Luceti animals talk. [~~Maybe if you stopped eating all the time, you'd be able to hear them over the sound of your chewing.~~]

I think they're supposed to! Or they always talked and now we can just hear them properly. I've heard Epona talk sometimes!

[Just the occasional, 'thank you' here and there, but the first time he did, he nearly fell in her water trough in sheer surprise.]

She's my horse! She lives in the stables - they're between community house seven and house forty-two.

Oh, okay! I've probably seen her before, then, and just didn't know it. I've always wanted to go horseback riding, but I never get much free time as a Hero...

Really? I got to ride all the time... [He shrugs a little.] If she lets you, maybe I can teach you how.

That'd be great if you could! But...you're already teaching me swordfighting and archery, so that might be a lot, wouldn't it?

Well, these wouldn't be official lessons. They'd just be for fun!

[Everyone's gotta horse-ride, dude.]

Oh, okay. Well...in that case, maybe we could take some time from my other lessons to try it out?
