Who: Everyone!
What: Thanksgiving + New Feather party.
When: Evening of the 20th.
Where: School cafeteria, nicely done up.
Summary: There's food. And there's also board games, are you game for some Snakes and Ladders?
Rating: Let's put this all over the board. Strange stuff can happen, man.
[Thanksgiving may not be a familiar holiday to most in Luceti, but everyone understands potluck, at least! Hopefully. Preferably.

It's all done buffet-style as usual. Thanksgiving stuff greets you first when you grab a plate and get in line at the buffet lines (food and drink provided by everyone, Thanksgiving stuff courtesy of the Welcome Centre and Ginia). Though of course, don't think that you have to stand in a line while eating! There's tables and chairs for sitting and talking and— eating, obviously. Reach out and grab a drink! If you get one that's been prepared by the Welcome Centre, it's non-alcoholic. Can't really say the same for anything else brought by others, so you may want to be careful. Y'know, just in case.

'course, there's also board games if you're interested in 'em. Just check out that corner over there!]

XD

[He wouldn't be surprised at all if Fujiko had spoken of him in passing during her stay--she sounded like she had been in Luceti long enough to get somewhat jaded and become friendly with the population. She did have a tendency to...talk.

He also wouldn't be surprised if the current residents had the wrong idea of him. Fujiko did so love to use her right to betrayal--and she was so skilled at it too!]

Well, you looked a little lonely over here, so I thought you needed a lot of pie to cheer you up!

[He slides into the seat across from her and sets the pie down, still smiling like an idiot.]

You do like pie, right?

[identity profile] boomchucka.livejournal.com 2011-11-27 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I'm not that lonely. Lots of people have come to say hi to me.

[She looks at that mountain of pie however and grins at Lupin.]

I hope you brought some spoons with you. We're gonna be here for awhile.

[identity profile] redjacketthief.livejournal.com 2011-11-27 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
[He reaches a hand out before her...and pulls out a pair of spoons seemilgly from nowhere. Basic skills in sleight of hand had its uses for more than just thievery!]

Of course I brought spoons! What kind of man do you think I am?

[identity profile] boomchucka.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Well... a man who likes pie and knows magic tricks for one thing.

[She'll pluck a spoon from his grasp and pulls a piece of blueberry pie onto her plate.]

Know any others?

[identity profile] redjacketthief.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 02:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I have taken a vow on my honor as a man of mischief and mystery to not reveal my secrets. It ruins the mystery, you know?

[He winks as he says this, ever the charming rogue, and follows her example by separating a piece of pie--pumpkin, just because-- and using his spoon to dig into it.]

And you are right about the pie. I do like my pie!

[identity profile] boomchucka.livejournal.com 2011-12-01 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
I know a Magician never reveals his secrets but you could do a little show for me.

[Pardon Selphie as she bursts into a gigglefit with a spoonful of pie in her mouth.]

[identity profile] redjacketthief.livejournal.com 2011-12-01 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
Well, you see...my problem, Selphie-chan, is that I was basically dropped here in almost my birthday suit and I haven't had much time to collect all of my supplies. All I can do is some basic sleight of hand anyway, none of that pulling rabbits from hats and slicing cute girls such as yourself in half.

[He has other, better ways of getting attention.]

[identity profile] boomchucka.livejournal.com 2011-12-01 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
[That could be a problem. But there's always later on.]

Like... card tricks? Or those tricks with the coins that I've seen before? You come anywhere near me with a saw and you're a nunchaku to the side of the head.

[And have some raspberries, Lupin.]

[identity profile] redjacketthief.livejournal.com 2011-12-01 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Nunchaku? Scary, scary! I don't go near cute girls with saws anyway! [Though he might go near them with a pair of grabby, tricky hands he couldn't do much about...]

But yeah, I can do a few of those. Card, coins, and stuff. I'm pretty good with my hands, though mostly I use them for stuff that wouldn't be seen as 'useful' or 'productive' by most people.

[He digs into his own pie, happy to have found a really good slice of pumpkin. He wasn't much of a cook, but maybe he could hunt down the chef and steal that recipe to try on his own.]

[identity profile] boomchucka.livejournal.com 2011-12-01 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah... you might wanna keep your hands to yourself then or you're going to be in for a world of hurt.

Hmmm... I think I'm gonna try making a pie next. [She taps her spoon thoughtfully against the back of her right hand.]

[identity profile] redjacketthief.livejournal.com 2011-12-01 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
You make pie? [That was relevant to his interests!] What kind of pie, if I may?

[And Selphie needn't have worried. Lupin was a gentleman, if nothing more; he would never force a woman, and would stop if his advances were obviously unwanted.]

[identity profile] boomchucka.livejournal.com 2011-12-01 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
Not yet, but I'm gonna try. What kinda pie do you think I should try making first?

[Considering her track record for being oblivious to most kinds of flirtation, Lupin you're perfectly fine.]

[identity profile] redjacketthief.livejournal.com 2011-12-01 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
[Lupin takes a moment to consider the options before responding] I'm partial to the pumpkin pie here myself, but you seem like the type who'd go more for an apple pie or maybe a chocolate pie.

...There's a lot of different kinds of pies when you actually think about it.

[identity profile] boomchucka.livejournal.com 2011-12-01 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
But what if I want a cherry or raspberry pie? And it's too late to get fresh apples from the orchard anyway... pies may have to wait... unless I cheated and used canned stuff...

[identity profile] redjacketthief.livejournal.com 2011-12-01 12:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[Should have figured that there would be fresh fruit in Luceti, although Lupin is still so new in town that he can't claim to have met one in person yet.]

Well, there's no dishonor in cheating on a pie, is there? It's still tasty, and ends up in the same place anyway. And, you can make any pie you're little heard desires; you were just asking for my opinion. And my opinion is pumpkin or apple.

[identity profile] boomchucka.livejournal.com 2011-12-02 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
Well no, but I'd like to try making one from scratch. I wanna give it everything I've got!

[And not burn the kitchen down in the process.]

Selphie sounds like myself IRL last week...XP

[identity profile] redjacketthief.livejournal.com 2011-12-02 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
Then, in that case, I wish you lots of luck doing that!

[Although he isn't a baker, an idea hits him.] Actually...I was kinda thinking about trying to make a pie myself. Maybe we can try and not kill everyone together? [There's a smile and a wink. He's trying too hard...]

Hahaha! xD

[identity profile] boomchucka.livejournal.com 2011-12-02 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah? You seem pretty fond of that pumpkin pie so what if we tried making one of those?

[Selphie's not the best cook in the world in her opinion but she has been learning and practicing and she's the student of one of Luceti's best chefs so she grin excitedly at the notion of making a pie.]

[identity profile] redjacketthief.livejournal.com 2011-12-02 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
It's delicious, what can I say? [he chuckles--his taste was that obvious? He'd need to work on that.]

It would be pretty awesome if you found the recipe for this pie here! I'd love to try making it. [It would give him something to do that didn't include sifting through journal backlogs and taunting people, in any case.]
