Who: Everyone!
What: Thanksgiving + New Feather party.
When: Evening of the 20th.
Where: School cafeteria, nicely done up.
Summary: There's food. And there's also board games, are you game for some Snakes and Ladders?
Rating: Let's put this all over the board. Strange stuff can happen, man.
[Thanksgiving may not be a familiar holiday to most in Luceti, but everyone understands potluck, at least! Hopefully. Preferably.

It's all done buffet-style as usual. Thanksgiving stuff greets you first when you grab a plate and get in line at the buffet lines (food and drink provided by everyone, Thanksgiving stuff courtesy of the Welcome Centre and Ginia). Though of course, don't think that you have to stand in a line while eating! There's tables and chairs for sitting and talking and— eating, obviously. Reach out and grab a drink! If you get one that's been prepared by the Welcome Centre, it's non-alcoholic. Can't really say the same for anything else brought by others, so you may want to be careful. Y'know, just in case.

Fortunately, Richard is tailing him, though less closely than he is Asbel if only for the simple fact that he trusts Hubert more. The younger Lhant brother is less likely to get himself into trouble than his older sibling... a small blessing, considering how large this gathering is.

But he notes that the boy is starting to look uncomfortable, so he'll move up a little closer just to make sure that everything is all right.

Eventually, when his search for Asbel turns up fruitless, he finds refuge in the corner and stands there in his lonesome. Hubert stares down at his hands, wringing his fingers to work out some of the anxiety in a silent manner.

He should have paid more attention . . .

"Hubert?"

Hubert has always been more high-strung and cautious than his brother, Richard knows that much. Still, if the boy is getting too anxious over the party (and Richard sympathizes far more than Hubert knows), he's not against gathering up Asbel and heading back home. In fact, he'd actually rather prefer doing that, because he's not enjoying the whole party all that much himself.

Hubert's head snaps up, and his eyes widen at the sight of Richard like he's looking at his personal savior.

"R-Richard . . . " Maybe he should add Richard's proper title, especially now that their age gap is so huge. Asbel's influence isn't always so great.

"If you aren't enjoying yourself, we can always find Asbel and head back home," he says with a gentle smile that makes it clear that he understands exactly what Hubert is feeling right now. After all, he was once that nervous, lonely boy in the corner at parties himself.

"Would you like something to eat or drink? I could get you something from the table if you'd like."
