Summary: It's an underground mine! And the Malnosso want you to kill and capture all the bad guys! Oh, but don't let the rocks fall on you. That could hurt.
Rating: B for BLOOD. Seriously. People are going to die. People have already died. We're not going to make it out of here. We're all screwed, it's Game Over, man!

[Days 1-3]

[Van doesn't stick with any one group, and not because he isn't a team player. It's safer for everyone involved if he fights alone, as evidenced by the state of the third party corpses that might lead someone to his position.

There's another reason he fights alone, though: skills that he prefers to keep to himself, though they're almost sure to draw attention. Perhaps you or your group has ended up near him in the tunnels. Perhaps you hear the ominous crack and shift of rock, a possible precursor to one of the apparently numerous cave-ins; and then... singing?]

[Day 3-5]

[Van can always be counted on to be in the middle of a fight, literally or figuratively. This time, it's literally. He can be found by the entrance to the Processing Area, holding a firm (and slightly brutal) line. In any downtime, he can be seen checking around for people who need some patching up, particularly non-combatants, or even... having a snack?]

[Frey had, so far, managed to avoid cave ins all in all. He wasn't quite sure what to expect from them, anyway, so he had considered himself lucky.

Then again, when a light shower of dust starts to fall along with the strange cracking from above, he's starting to wonder if he should get concerned. And... is that Van nearby?]

[Selphie's small and fast and using those bonuses to her advantage.

She's also casting ice spells on the ground below the third party soldiers. She watches with a satisfied smirk on her face as their feet slip out from underneath them and their heads crack off the hard surface. The goons are dazed just enough for Selphie to roughly turn them onto their backs, scan their barcodes and watch as their shifted from the area to wherever the Malnosso are having them sent. As the ice magic begins to run out later in the week, Selphie will be relying on the wonderful world of sneak attacks and generally fighting dirty to render the third party soldiers useless for further battles.

This doesn't mean that Selphie's going to get out of the battle scott free of course. Her reflexes are pretty thanks to dodging a giant scythe for the past several months but those guys trying to come up on the gal from behind just might score a crack to the back of her head. Concussions are nothing new for Selphie but there's no way in hell she's spending another week in bed just to humour a certain Derpy McDerpson.

[Here, have another person who is small and fast and wielding nunchucks, watching your back. Pao-lin's nunchucks are considerably smaller than Selphie's, though, and she's got two of them a-whirlin' around her as she takes down the Third Party soldiers in the mines. Her strikes sparkle bright with her channeled lightning, stunning anyone unlucky enough to be on the receiving end. When the soldiers are down, Pao-lin will tag them with the scanner...then frown at the device in her hand after she tags the last one.]

Ah, crap...I'm out of charges.

Day 1-3!

[TIME TO LET OUT A WILD ROAR.

Well, no, not here; it might cause a cave-in. Instead he vouches instead for cautiously going through the caves in his power suit. When he's not hanging around Barnaby, he's going through all the caves he can to see if anyone's in need of help; after all, he's not here to kill Third Party members. He's here to rescue others from Luceti, if he can. So if you're in need of a helping hand in a fight or you're in a pretty doomed position, he'll be there! In the form of what appears to be a glowy-eyed robot suit.

He's more concerned with keeping his three minutes and 45 seconds in check. When he has to wait an hour he'll ocassionally return to the processing area to recooperate for a half-hour, taking off his helmet to eat whatever meals they're offering.

And then it's back out into the fray.

On day three, he runs into a Shifter. Don't mind the heavy suit clamoring around with the face-mask open: it's just him running in a panic with a shifter hot on his tail. Guess who successfully got his suit shut off?? A-at least his powers are still working, because he's running bullet-speed around here while a few third partiers are busy flinging rocks, arrows, blades, what have you, at Tiger.

[ he'd been out alone for a little while, since lining up with one another wasn't exactly the easiest thing to do now that kotetsu's power is declining.

it's about twenty minutes before he's stepping back into the processing center and removing his helm, shaking his his hair out and wiping the sweat from his face with a small white towel, and also accepting a nice tall glass of coooold water from this nice little assistant girl with a memory problem.

but then he's picking through to try and find a place to sit and relax for a few moments. ]

Day 1: Melaka

[Well, it didn't take Azusa long, did it? One moment, she's wandering around the base camp...and the very next, she's completely lost amidst all of the chaos. There are enemies lurking about, and she's trying to keep herself hidden...but, really, she's in need of a hero right about now. She's just going to get in the way.

She's afraid, yes, and her nerves are finally starting to show. Watching people fight each other isn't something she wants to see, and keeping her eyes closed isn't really an answer, either...she tried that already.]

Day 2: Arumat

[Azusa still hasn't made it back to the base camp, so she continues to walk. Luckily, she's managed to run into someone she knows this time! Once the area is cleared of soldiers, she's just going to approach him...it's better than just sitting around, right? And it looks like he's having difficulties with his scanning thing...]

Ah, excuse me...

Day 3 and 4: Open!!!

[She was supposed to head back to the base camp, and she was supposed to get Arumat's scanner recharged...well, neither of those things seem to be happening now! Her backpack, filled with water, snack food, and bandages isn't doing much good...mainly, because she's started wandering into small caves where absolutely nothing is happening.

It's a relief, to be sure, but now she's completely alone...if an enemy were to come out, she'd have no way to defend herself, really. She can be found anywhere remote and isolated, seated and munching on a pretzel...or she can be found en route to the next remote area to get herself lost in, clothes torn and somehow avoiding injury.]

Day 1

[And then there was a TP who was going to try to get the jump on Azusa. Melaka rectifies this situation- swinging a battle ax in a wide arc with two hands, she decapitates the TP with ease. The head of the guy lands with a thud over yonder, blood flies everywhere, and the body falls. Melaka doesn't look very phased until she sees the intended target of that TP.


...And she remembers you're supposed to scan them. Oops.]

EXPLOSIVES

[Whatever the place of the mine she finds herself in, the Chief Petty Officer raises herself on the radio and over the journals.]

This is SPARTAN-023. I'm currently on the move with the main attack force, requesting locations of explosives left around the general area, or sites where they are needed for offensive purposes. Over.

[Either way, she had collected some explosives. But unlike many in here, she took lessons on not only avoiding cave-ins, but how to make them.]

STEALTH

[There seems to be a group up front of cultists. With the way their wings weakly flutter and converse calmly, they seem to be a patrol rather than an attack force.

Either way, the golden faceplate looks at you. They need to go through this all quiet, and swiftly. The Spartan draws Lina's sword.]

BATTLE

[She is grateful the Major is not here. But she misses him... and all emotions of loss she has, they are channeled into battle.

By the side of the rest of the group, SPARTAN-023 opens fire on cultists, keeping them within the range of the caves, shooting at center masses, wings, and heads with a computerized precision. And when her cartridges run out, and the cultists are near? She draws Lina's short sword, and cuts and breaks bodies as if they hadn't been there.]

CAMP

[With her part in the offensive over, she returns to the camp in the Processing Area. From the back of a noisy ATV, she transports several resources gathered from both the field and from these headquarters to transport them around: Disabled Explosive Ordnance, used flashbangs, varied weapons, food, medicine

The Chief's intentions will be to check up on the camp and find familiar faces while she waits, transport resources around the camp, and help on the defense... Or fight in it, if need be.]


((OOC: On second thought, her rescue will probably be used as a reply to a savior in another thread, since this post was already quite big. If you read this before I edited this, and want to rescue Daisy, you can PM me!

On THIRD thought... Daisy won't have a serious injury. She may still be rescued from a danger if you want the situation, and probably have her armor a little roughed, but things may otherwise go normally...))

The dragon is currently low to the ground, wings tucked up against her sides as she slowly peers over the rocky outcropping she's crouched behind. Amaze-O-Gaze goggles are so convenient for spying.

[ Day 1-3 ]

[ If you happen to wander down one of the many side tunnels and find your light source of convenience suddenly seems to not actually be lighting up anything, you might not be alone. Saten is operating at full power, completely drowning out almost all light whenever she's actively fighting. She's not necessarily taking out absolutely anyone that approaches her, but if you're in a group large enough to be mistaken for a troupe of Third Party members, you might happen to find yourself down a limb. If you're lucky.

In her wake she leaves a trail of mangled bodies, distinctively marked by the fact that all of them have had their wings ripped out from the shoulder blades. ]


[ Early-ish Day 4 ]

[ In a shaft relatively nearby the processing area, there's the telltale rumble of collapsing rock.

A few minutes later, Saten steps out of the shadows by the sleeping quarters, and immediately slumps to a sitting position. She's grabbing her left wing over her shoulder, and blood is dripping both down her back and arm. ]


[ Day 5 ]

[ Back out again, but she's not being as reckless now. Saten might be slightly tagging along on the fringes of other groups, but she still moves off down side tunnels to kill off Third Party members on her own. Then she slips back out and trails along again at a distance. But if any of you look like you're going to cause a cave-in she is getting out of there. ]

[Given the known abilities of Shifters, Pao-lin's more than a little freaked out when the orb of electricity she'd been using to light her way through the tunnels suddenly fizzles out with no warning. She tries to will it back into being, to no avail. She hears the commotion of a skirmish somewhere in the distance, but with the tunnel echoes she's having a hard time pinpointing where exactly it's coming from. After a few moments of consideration at a fork in the path, Pao-lin goes down one of them, hoping to escape said skirmish entirely.

Except of course she completely misjudged and is now heading straight for Saten's position. She'll figure out her mistake soon enough to double back, but Saten might notice her anyway.]

[Mulder's going to be exploring the tunnels and caves very extensively, so he can show up anywhere...]

[Certain extraterrestrial life back home was found deep underground. So... Mulder has this thought in mind when he gets there. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT'S OUT THERE. So much that he'll get himself into some troubling situations where he's too busy examining interesting areas of rocks which catch his attention. Feel free to notice him behaving WEIRDLY sometimes: poking at portions of rock that look strange, or just staring intensely at the ground or walls while he walks along, or running his hands all over the cave walls when something about them catches his attention. He'll also be in need of backup at these times, especially whenever he's preoccupied enough to be ambushed and cornered by the enemy.]

[But he also has moments where he's more focused on the actual mission and he'll be slipping around pretty stealthily. He's keeping an eye out for allies much of the time too, so he can readily join any characters fighting if they're the ones in need of assistance. Anything goes for that!]

[As for fighting methods, that also varies. Sometimes he'll have no choice but to shoot down the enemy with his regular gun. He also tries out that scanner a couple times out of curiosity to see how it really works. He's not so sure he TRUSTS that method though...]

[Captain America's enhanced senses tell him there's someone up ahead. Whether they're friendly or not remains to be seen, so he takes the lead, sticking to the wall and staying hidden as long as he can. You wouldn't think stealth would go with the bright red-white-and-blue costume and shield.]

[There have been enough adventures into mines, caves, and ancient basements in Mia's life that this one? Doesn't faze her in the least. If anything, it's pretty tame. Monsters with teeth and claws and paralyzing fur aren't going to pop out from behind any cornices. ...Right?

On the first four days, Mia leaves the Processing Area whenever she can, looking for people who might need help...and looking to stop a few of these Third Party-types herself. Out here, when her Psynergy is at its most powerful, and regenerates with every step, she would feel terrible about not putting it to good use. Even if that means she goes pretty deep into the mines.

On day five she'll be exclusively helping with anyone who comes back injured or needing help. It makes her stationary, but by then she doesn't mind. They need her as a healer more than as a combatant.

Need a hand? Some giant icicles? A Ply that fixes everything? Mia's your girl!]

[Dragons damn it all, this fight has barely started and Pao-lin's already dropped her staff. She can eventually go back and get it, since it's not like it fell over a cliff edge or anything, but first she has to deal with the group of Third Party soldiers that are ganging up on her. She's shifted to using her butterfly swords in conjunction with her lightning powers, but she prefers the reach of her staff when it comes to physically warding off attacks. Her attempt at compensating for this shows a little: she's technically proficient with the swords, but she's missing her mark more than usual.

[Unconsciously sucking in his breath as if afraid the fallen Third Party soldier would grab his ankle, Mac stepped around one of many corpses that littered the tunnel, grateful that in the dark, some of the more gruesome details were difficult to make out. He stumbled along towards the Processing Area, bent up and shaking, and bracing the wall with a hand.

Violence outside the ring was not something foreign to him - although it remained something deeply unsettling. In fleeting moment of lucidity in his pain-haze, he remembered the time he had been mugged, all the times his schoolyard bullies had sent him running home with a bloody nose. And he remembered, on a separate occasion, seeing a gaunt-looking man at the curb not far from his apartment, dead in a pool of his own blood. Too much blood. A junkie who hadn’t paid up, he had guessed, unable to help thinking about what family he may have had. The body had made him think of a dog he’d seen get hit by a car when he was much younger, the way its body tumbled around limply, brokenly, before it came to rest glassy-eyed and unbreathing, its head opened by the collision.

The world wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. People got hurt; people died. His mother, his father, the man on the road, the Third Party soldiers attacking him whose bones had been crushed like eggshells under the rocks. People died and the world kept turning. What could he do but to keep moving on, to look for the traces of genuine beauty and happiness in a place that could be cruel?

Life was not fair, his father had often reminded him; someone out there always had it worse, so he ought to be grateful for what he had. Sometimes, he had wished he had met that anonymous someone far away to see how they lived.

Mac found himself reeling into the wall, his shoulder bumping clumsily into it – and he slid down it, gasping. The feathers of one wing were dark and heavy with blood; one of the Third Party soldier had ran his spear through it, catching him in a moment of hesitation.

Whoever happens to come his way will find him lying on his side - still conscious - his mouth opened to breathe and his face pale and creased with sweat. If preferred, he also can be found at the Processing Area sometime later, recovering.]

[This isn't what Mia expected to find while making her own way back to the Processing Area. Already frowning, Mia kneels beside him to look over his injuries.]

[For the most part, Kairi's going to be helping at the Processing Area and take care of anyone who needs it. She's pretty capable of healing magic by now so she's flitting about, making sure everyone who comes back is in good shape to go back out there.

However as the days draw on, she's starting to feel a little restless, and even though her boys told her to either stay back or stay with them, and even though she should have learned last time, she's going to wander further in the tunnels just to make sure. She doesn't feel right just letting everyone else do all of the fighting. She just has to stay close to the base and she'll be okay, she thinks. Besides, what if there are people out there that are hurt and haven't made it back to the Processing area?

Other draftees are free to run into her at base camp or find her wandering the tunnels with her Keyblade drawn. She's being very careful and stealthy this time at least, and the most she'll be taking out is one or two members at a time. Don't be surprised if a redhaired girl suddenly comes creeping around a corner into an area you're in.]

[For the most part, Shiki's staying far, far away from the actual fighting. What the hell is she going to do anyway? She's busy helping at the Processing Center, though every now and then people may find her off to the side practicing with her sword like she's getting ready to go out there.]

[Day 3-4]

[That could be because, well, that's exactly what she's doing. She's not sure what to expect when she goes out there, but she's only slightly worried. With Mr. Mew in one hand, a sword in the other and Haruhi's present of a reverse doll in her pocket she ventures further into the caverns. Other combatants are free to stumble upon the sight of the pink-haired girl using a sword to take out Third Party members while her stuffed cat is busy jumping and clawing opponents. It's a pretty good system, if you ask her.]

[Day 5]

[Or at least it was a good system for a while until she started being chased by Third Party members. Mr. Mew's growing in size to try and hold them off, and Shiki's using her sword to slash at them. She's got a few new wounds, mostly from falling on sharp rocks or being knicked with weapons, but she's still standing. But just as she thinks she's clear of them, she feels more than sees someone sneaking up behind her, and she sees more than feels something sharp pierce her right through the middle. She screams, but she cuts herself off shortly when she realizes that it's virtually dissolved in her chest. Without thinking she swings quickly to defeat that last Third Party member before digging into her pocket. The doll, where the hell was the doll? And she sees that it now has a small hole in its chest. She's...surprised that the thing actually worked, but she knows that means her one free pass is gone. So she's going to turn tail and head back toward base camp, stopping along the way to help anyway who might need it. Mr. Mew's still a good combatant, at least.]

[if she wants to wander, she's going to have to get past this guy first. By now he's looking tired and distinctly unfashionable, but he's on watch in this tunnel and he's not going to let her by that easily.]

[For most of the draft, Kurt has a group he's sticking with. Rogue, Gambit, Melanie, and Melaka all make for a pretty good team. But thanks to his keep night vision, wall crawling, and teleporting - he's basically the designated scout.

When he's not doing that, he'll be teleporting back to the Processing Area to recharge the group's scanners. Unfortunately he can't teleport directly from a tunnel into the processing area, which means a rapid succession of teleports all along the tunnels to get where he needs to be. However there's a good chance he'll run into others off fighting and will jump in to help them. Because that's just what he does.

Once in the processing area, he'll do his recharges and pick up some supplies, but he may be in need of getting a recharge for himself. That teleporting can get exhausting.]

[ Spada doesn't take too much joy out of fighting on the side of the Malnosso (far easier if he considers it something like fighting for Luceti, and then it's something worth fighting for), but it's been a while since he's had the opportunity to be on the battlefield and he certainly doesn't show much restraint while he's out there (by logic of kill or be killed).

He'll be basically anywhere where an offensive force is required, and might stick around the Processing Area for a bit on the 3-5 days, though not for too long. Other than that, any sudden flashes of purple light might be coming from his direction, and he might throw a Barrier on fighters who look like they need it.

And he's not bothering with scanning. ]

Day 2

[Leon was taking care of his own enemies, and although it's a problem, he's mostly knocking them down. Some will just have to be unfortunate and have either one or both wings cut off if he feels the need.]

All of the days

[Day 1 - 4]

[Being on the offensive, Naoto is going to be out in the tunnels pretty much all day, fighting off and trying to capture any of the third party that she can manage to knock out and grab and she'll probably be alone. Due to the fact her persona has more of a wide range when it attacks, she'd rather not have anyone caught in the middle of it, especially when she uses her dark and light spells.

So you may catch Yamato-Takeru speeding through the tunnels with Naoto right behind him or at the processing area later on to take a small break. She can't fight forever with a persona.]

[Day 5]

[Unfortunately, the effects of this constant fighting is slowly starting to take it's toll on Naoto, even with the breaks in between fights. With her persona being one of the many that uses stronger and more wide ranged attacks, it takes a lot more of her energy. Not to mention with her persona getting knocked around a few times, that's going to effect her even more.

But despite how worn out she looks, Naoto is just going to continue fighting, using Yamato-Takeru less and less as the day goes on and relying more on her revolver. Of course, today she'll end up winding back at the processing area even more often than the previous days.]

Day 3

[It was earlier in the day and Ran Fan was looking for her missing prince. She was kinda freaking out about it though. She hated losing him. It made her feel like crap, so each person she found, she just asked about him, hoping someone might have seen him.

But her arm was bothering her, and she needed a break. It wasn't a good idea, but this cold wasn't helping her arm at all. Trying to find a place to hide, she leaned against a wall, taking a breather until the pain in her arm disappeared.]

[Day 1 - 3]

[Unlike last time, when Seto was on the offensive group, this time he's with the defensive. It isn't that he's scared to go back out there and fight right up in the front lines with everyone else, but he actually wants to protect his friends instead of him being protected. Jin and Terra didn't train him for nothing.

For all three days, Seto will be at the processing area, helping anyone who's injured or offer them some sort of comfort (more than likely a hug) and he'll also be defending the place. Any of the third party members that happen to slip past the people in the tunnels will be confronted by Seto and the sword Jin gave him. He isn't a big fan of killing people (or even hurting them), even if they are the bad guys, but he has to protect everyone.]

[Day 4 - Locked to Firo, Fuuko and Yui]

[It's early in the morning when Seto comes back from searching and looking through some of the tunnels to see if any of the enemies had managed to sneak past the other fighters when he does happen to come across one. Of course he was taken by surprise so he himself had gotten a good beating from the third party member but managed to hurt them as well.

But since he just couldn't bring himself to kill it... he had to retreat--unfortunately with it following behind slowly.

When he finally makes his way into the processing area, his legs begin shaking so he collapses to his knees then a moment later, the rest of his body follows and lands on the ground with a thud. The sword in his hand is just resting on his fingers as he has no strength to hold it.]

Day 4

[ The first thing Firo notices upon awakening is that he's still stuck in the tunnels. The second thing hits him almost at the same time, but instead of mild disappointment it brings an overwhelming sense of fear. Seto's gone. Firo immediately rushes ff to search for him, desperately hoping that he's unharmed.

He doesn't have to look far. Hope as he might, the little body crumpled on the ground can't be anyone but Seto. Firo freezes as his legs suddenly refuse to move. ]

[ Firo forces himself to move again and starts dashing to his fallen friend. ]

[for his first three days spent in the mines, war goes as well as it possibly can-- he will be, for the most part, sticking close to his friends, fighting alongside them, doing his darndest to make sure none of them get separated. keeping everyone he's with alive is and always will be a priority.]

[right up until halfway through the fourth day of fighting. separation is unfortunately something that might happen in dark and cramped quarters, and when it does, Sora is left completely by himself.]

[quite frankly, working alone is not something Sora is very good at-- in fact, it's more hindering than anything, and it shows-- if you spot him late in the day, he might just look like he got caught on the business end of a Third Party weapon, but he'll continue to truck onward, trying to make his way back to the processing center.]

[Day 5]
[through and through he's a kid who doesn't know how to stay down: even though he'd made it back to the processing center a thorough mess, one might still spot him out and about. not necessarily fighting, but keeping a watchful eye out for any Third Party members left who might try to advance in.]

[Well, Riku will be keeping close to his friends as well, which in this case means staying close to Sora and keeping his eyes peeled for any Third Party goons.]

[All days except Day 4]

[Leon has experience as a soldier, and did his country proud for someone his age. He's even known in some other parts of the world, where he's from.
Leon is fast and strong. Don't let the pink cape fool you.
He uses a knife/dagger and a very unique sword.
He hones the elements of Earth and Dark due to his majestic blade.
His level of magic can rival others as well.

He can be a team player in some ways, if the one in command doesn't falter. If there isn't anyone in command, he might command a few people himself. If they work with him, then it will be more efficient. Because when he commands people, it means he has a strategy ready.
If they don't work with him, he's fine with that as well; just that there will be more risk for himself and the others. After all, it's a team effort no matter what anyone thinks.

Sometimes Leon will correct a few bad habits of one or two people if it gets in the way or is noticeable. And if they don't listen to him, they might incur the wrath of Leon's lecture after battle; depending on the aftermath of the other people's faults.

These can take place just about anywhere, since Leon will be everywhere. Barricade, Natural Cave, Underground City, Lakes/Springs, Mine, Depleted Mine, back in the Processing Area when the Third Party starts to invade on the third day. If it's the third day, Leon will be going all-out. That day is the most eventful part of the draft, after all.]

[Day 2-3, and 5]

[One of these days, Leon's going to hear about a cave-in from his own radio or someone else's if he doesn't use his own. If you're in one, he would like to test himself in trying to get you out.
In other words, if you're calling for help, Leon will come for you and see what he can do. He's not part of the rescue team, but he'll act on his own accord.

It's that situation... Or an explosive might go off while you're with him and he tests while you or someone else calls for help. There's also a chance of someone in the team (or you) causing the cave-in using destructive moves/magic.

His reason? On the first day or the first time he heard about a cave-in, he spent it thinking about whether he can do something about it himself. His sword has the power of Earth, so it should be doable. The sword once told him of how one could last in a desert if they had the water counterpart. When Leon asked what situations will the sword be useful (besides fighting, of course), the sword told him he'd have to be creative.
Although now... The sword doesn't speak anymore, so nobody will be able to hear him.]

[Day 4]

[This day, he will be resting in the base due to the third day's attack. He got a few good scratches and was tired. He'll also be patrolling the area to make sure everyone is safe from conflict. You may see him walking around, you may see him eating near a campfire, you may even see him resting.
Whatever works, as long as it's in the base.
His are somewhat torn, his cape tattered, there are bandages tied onto his right arm, leg, and chest.]

[Night of Day 5]

[Leon will be outside for this particular night, even if he doesn't know it's night time. All the draftees are supposed to leave soon, so he's feeling restless.]

[Jacqli has gone out with the offensive forces, but due to her powers as a Reyvateil leaving her as a sitting duck, she's been forced into hiding behind things and serving as back-up for any melee fighter she comes across. If only she had her ELMA ... well, that thing would probably create more problems than it would solve in a place like this.

Maybe someone needs some healing after taking down a particularly rough soldier? Perhaps a thin barrier to help lessen heavy blows brought down on them? Or maybe a collection of various types of magic to distract, finish off, or just outright blow away an enemy?

She won't stick by any one person for very long, and she certainly won't interrupt someone if they're clearly all right on their own, but Jacqli will be trying to serve as temporary back-up for as many people as she can. ... Not because she wants to help anyone, of course. She just needs to make sure she's got a meat shield while she's using her magic, that's all.]

[At some point in the day Jacqli may hear some rumbling as some explosives are set off. If she stays near the tunnel the echoing sound came from then she may spot Vash making his way out and away from the explosion. Luckily it hadn't caved in, but he's out of breath from running and dodging the rocks that did fall.

He's got an unconscious Third Party Member in his arm as well. Which may be why he's going so slow. Or perhaps it's because he's got blood starting to run into one of his eyes. This guy was just too heavy to drag out of the blast zone and dodge everything. Someone's got a bit of a head injury that could use some healing!]

[ barnaby's been assigned to search and rescue, beside his trusty moron boyfriend partner, kotetsu. most days he'll be paired up with the old man, picking through the tunnels, swooping in to make brave, heroic rescues. probably princess carrying a lot of people to safety. but he'll be on his own a decent amount as well, especially considering that he and kotetsu's hundred power timing doesn't .. really line up anymore.

so feel free to be one of the many damsels (or dudes) in distress that needs saving on any of these days.

oh and he's wearing this awesome power suit (http://media.animevice.com/uploads/1/10570/473390-tiger_bunny_bunny_super.jpg) (super cool, i know). every once in awhile he'll venture back to the processing center to rest and recoup, and possibly eat, while he waits for his power to reset.

[She couldn't help it; Sanji and Vivi have been missing three days now, lost somewhere or buried, and Nami's been searching pretty fruitlessly all this time. All she knows is they can't be raised on the journals, either, so she's just assuming they're both pretty hurt by this stage. At least. So she's hellbent on finding them.

Which is probably why when she's called out to yet another cave-in possibility and she arrives to find a bunch of Third Party already trying to break through a wall of rock in which villagers could be trapped, she didn't stop to think and just...kind of...waded in. Despite being kind of outnumbered. Sue her. She's desperate and not thinking straight, okay. 8|

So we hope Barnaby might be drawn by the sound of crackling electricity down that tunnel over there and a few screams of pain from the unfortunate few that get caught in her low sweep of lightning, as she stands with her back to a wall of crumbling rock and faces off against the so-called Bad Guys around here. Tunnels are so restrictive;. Three down, a lot to go. Give the needy redhead a hand? |Da]

[Day 1-2]

[There is an unusual sight in the caves.

A small green dragon is everywhere, cartoony wings tucked in as she picks her way through the caves. It's dark, and some places are tight and cold and her heart thrums with horror when the walls press in enough to choke off the air. But she pushes herself onward, because she's a hero and heroes don't give up. Heroes aren't allowed to be scared.

Through the radio slung oddly at the belt off her side - she has to improvise, her body isn't like the human-type guys' - she'll relay positions of enemies sometimes - when she isn't selfish enough to want to take them on herself - and generally report safe areas as well as look for notable locations - places where walls could be easy to break. She's honed that skill through puzzle-solving, and even if it's not nearly as blatant as the ones from home, she can still usually guess.

But when she's not scouting, she'll be joining the fray herself - whirling wings and jabbing beak and scratching claws, plumes of fire spouting from a birdlike dragon maw. Lights dance across the rocks as her flames flicker - both from her mouth and the Fire Eggs she relies on in their infinite abundance.

Occasionally, however, she might be persuaded to resort to other ammunition - Blue Eggs to knock someone out briefly for tagging (though it's difficult for her to use the tagger herself, perhaps she could be assisting you?), or Ice Eggs to briefly hold something in place - a collapsing ceiling, maybe?...

Or even a Grenade Egg or Clockwork Kazooie, in the event something needs to go boom. Though you'd better watch out - Kazooie is no demolitions expert, and even despite warnings she's not necessarily going to be thinking of how easily the cave could come down.]

[Day 3-5]

[Now things are getting rough. With the added influx of fighters, Kazooie hangs back to protect the Processing Area with increasingly-desperate attacks. She'll be less afraid to use her Grenade Eggs here, and there's enough room to take to the skies for aerial assaults. Get ready for the uncommon sight of a green dragon circling above, exaggeratedly-loud cartoon wingbeats echoing off the walls of the caves as she spews fire and Eggs to knock opponents out of the sky.

At some point, she might even be gutsy enough to go down to the Underground City - which proves to be extremely dangerous, as Kazooie soon learns. She's in for one of the toughest fights of her heroic career - but she's not totally down. She's a hero, after all. And a hero always wins.

Feel free to catch her there, trying her damnedest to fight off the Third Party - and in general taking advantage of the open space and buildings.]

[Evenings]

[The stress of battle gets to her eventually, and repeated nightmarish feelings of both the grisly organic deaths weighing on her conscience and the constant panic of claustrophobia wear away at Kazooie. So she's not going to be much for sleeping. Occasionally she'll rest, and perhaps tuck a head behind a trembling wing, but... she's definitely not at her best.

She could use some help, dealing with all her anxieties.]

[ In some ways, it's less frightening to be out fighting; at least then he doesn't have much time to think about the situation. Firo returns to the Processing Area almost reluctantly and in a daze. He spots Kazooie, and though he's sure they've never exchanged a word he drags himself over. She just doesn't look like she's in good shape. ]

...Hey. Are you..?

[ Being even more foggy of brain than usual, it takes Firo a moment to realize how foolish it is to ask if she's okay. ]

Day 3

[When the processing area is breached--that's when things get hard. Toothless has been having a hard time staying calm underground as it is, but now that he--and more importantly, Hiccup and the others--are facing threats? All he wants to do is just...attack them. And so Hiccup straps himself to the dragon's back, tries to reign him in and at least direct him when he starts spitting panic-driven bursts of fire.

If you're in the area, you'd better watch out. Because even doing everything he can, Toothless is bound to spit at least a few poorly-aimed jets of flame. And Hiccup can only hold on tight and ignore the screaming voice in the voice that is pointing out that people are dying and getting hurt and he can't help them like this.]

Day 3

[As third party members start coming, Seto dives straight into the action, trying his best to defend the place and protect everyone who needs it. But unfortunately he's not paying too close attention to his surroundings so as he goes to spin around to try and head towards another enemy, he spots Hiccup and Toothless out of the corner of his eye and jumps when they face towards him, a light coming from the dragons mouth]

H-Hiccup??

[He ducks in a panic, hands atop his head to try and crouch down further as the burst of flame flies right over his head. Jeez that was close!]

[Kim isn't quite as gung-ho as everyone else seems to be. He's edgy, nervous, and fidgets at loud noises that echo closer with each hour of the first day. He stays close to the Processing Area, helping however he can. Feeding people, acting as a scout or simply sentinel.

Kim knows he's not suited for combat. Never was. He'd never fought before, not really.

He'd seen war, orchestrated battles, nearly been the end of a reign and casualty as well. He lives in a time where war is what everyone knew. Only few could understand it though.

His war? It was a war of secrets, whispers and lies. One of code and enigmas. The dead were never in the thousands with his kind of soldier, and they were never missed by their own side. Another copy was ready in the shadows behind them.

That was what Kim was good at.

Not this. Nothing so direct.]


[Day 2- 4]

[Nothing direct or loud about Kim when he fights. He does so quietly. Picking off Third Party members that linger or that are wounded. Throats are cut, men and women are strangled and necks are broken. All so quietly.

But clumsily too. He is no assassin, it is completely true. And it shows with how he executes. But not in his face. Kim is cold and detached in his face. He might as well be doing paperwork or another menial task then actually killing.

His fingers are stained with blood and spatters of it collect on his cuffs. He carries wire with him, and a small block of wood as a club. No guns, no knives. He's too afraid of them to use them.

He thinks of Litzi. Of Julian. Of his father and of all the people he cares about. Especially about Anthony and Guy.

They're his motivators. It's how he can do such heinous things without immediately crawling back to the camp to hide. It's for them.
Love is a much more disturbing force than fear or hate, Kim finds.

One might, if someone manages to spot him, they might catch him muttering to himself steadily. I have a stiff upper lip, my back is straight, and I'm not home.

When he does reappear in camp, he's deceitfully plain to see. Average Kim Philby.]

[ a blood spattered woman is kneeling over a small pack -- rifling through it, looking for something to eat. she craves protein. meat. beef jerky would do. she tears a corner off with her teeth and chews thoughtfully before checking a blank page in her journal.

[Temari has relegated herself to scouting duties. In truth, her sort of expertise lends itself a little better to wide open spaces. It's not that she can't find in a cave; she can and she can do it well, but she's rather not deal with collateral damage. Friendly fire sucks and she doesn't want to deal with the consequences. She'll occasionally be reporting in, directing groups around (or to, if necessary) cave-ins, and generally reporting on Third Party movement.

... And killing the very few that find her.

[Days 4-5]
And then she got restless. Switching over to offense now, collateral damage be damned. She's had enough time to figure out just what attacks work well and what won't and now? Now she's restless and hunting down whatever needs taken care of.

[ Firo and caution have never been too closely acquainted, but now Firo's sticking closely to the rest of the defensive forces instead of diving off into the thick of the battle. He's not as concerned with the actual fighting as he is looking after his friends. Refusing to tag anyone, he'll sometimes resort to hitting enemies with the machine in addition to using his knife.

While most of his time will be spent defending the area, Firo can also be found back at Processing Area taking a break. ]

[Day 5]

[ By this point, Firo's slowed down significantly. The death of a friend, combined with fighting fatigue, has him more reckless and sloppy than before. His regenerative abilities will be seeing a lot more use, but he's staying away from the Processing Area as long as he can. ]
