New Year's brings images of crowds, and songs, and fireworks; staying up til midnight and watching balls or bells being rung. But Luceti is a different time and place. Whether you're partying with friends or watching the sunrise, what are you doing today?

[During the day, Rainbow Dash will be doing her usual thing. Zipping through the sky, creating a flash of color everywhere she goes. To make things even more intense, she'll be warping some clouds to read "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" with her awesome skills.

But at night? She'll be heading straight for the party, hovering around, grabbing some snacks. Her usual routine. This time, she's even got some snazzy shades.

But, as always, she sorta stands out. Being a cartoon pony kinda does that.]

[Ooh, pretty colours! Nice skills there Rainbow Dash. There's a kid down on the ground watching you flying around with her eyes wide and sparkling. Yotsuba's going to be flailing around and waving her arms as quick as she can to try and get her attention. A certain pegasus needs to be told how cool she looks!]

[So the kid's watching her, eh? Time to take things up a notch!

Flying higher and higher, Dash soars way above the clouds. It might seem like she's disappeared for a moment, until she comes rocketing down through the center of the clouds, creating a perfect hole. She comes closer and closer, almost like she's gonna crash, and then BAM! She turns, circles around Yotsuba, and lands perfectly on all four hooves.]

[...Whoaaaaaaaaaaah. She just totally disappeared into the sky, and then she came back, and she was going to crash! Really! But then she swerved and went whoosh and want all around Yotsuba and-- And... It was really cool. Yup.

After a display like that Yotsuba can only think of one think to say in response.]

Cooooool...

[That's all the response needed. Dash smirks, lifting one hoof and blowing on it, as if it's sizzling.]

How can you be so cool?! It must be a crime, a crime, right?!

[Running over to RD and just staaaring with complete awe. Maybe by standing so close some of that coolness will rub off on her too?!]

[Oh man. She's getting massive Scootaloo vibes from this kids. It's kinda endearing.

And she shrugs.]

Nah, it's like the complete opposite of a crime. After all...

[She stands up on her hind legs for a moment, crossing her front legs.]

I'm like the definition of cool.

[What- oh. that's.. the pegasus? Or whatever it was, extremely fast flying horse thing. Whatever a horse is. Anyway, Melaka spies her at night and blinks. In fact-]

[She looks down at Melaka and grins.]

'Cus it's dark. What, they spec?

[She lifts them up with one hoof.]

Well, duh. They make me look even cooler.

Kinda clash with the... hair? [Now idea what you call a mane.]

You mean mane.

[A beat.]

And how do they clash? Shades are always cool.

[Hey, it's that pony he saw before! Rainbow Dash right--?He'll wave at her and call up, even though he's totally not used to shouting for people's attention (--which is probably obvious).]

Nice shades, Rainbow Dash. Are you sure they're really needed at this time of night, though? You could hurt someone...

Oh, hey.

[She turns around and starts to hover his way, waving with a hoof.]

Don't sweat the small stuff. I can see just fine!

Are you sure? [Not that he's doubting your Awesometude or anything, he's just

doubting anyone's ability to see in the dark with sunglasses on.]

[She lifts the shades for a minute and takes a look around.

...Yeah, okay, she can see better like this, but.]

Yep, I'm positive. Besides, these shades up my coolness by at least 50%.

Just be careful. [God you're so much like one of his other friends--] How's the night been?

Pretty sweet!

[Eh, for now she'll keep the shades up, resting on her forehead.]

The people here sure know how to throw some awesome parties!

Hey, Dash! [Kazooie, as per usual, is just as bold and stand-out during the party - really, they must be attracting so much attention - and practically gleaming as she hops over to her pony pal.]

Those fireworks are pretty cool, but I'm betting I could do better with my Grenade Eggs.

And you could be doing that thing you did earlier!

[Almost nonchalantly, the breegull chows down on a handful of potato crisps.]

Yeah, the fireworks were awesome, but we could do way better.

[She grins, eying those chips for a second. Maybe she should grab some herself, heh.]

With my speed and your eggs, we'd put on the best show Luceti's ever seen!

[She should totally get some crisps. They're delicious! There's all kinds of flavours... sadly, no seed flavours, but Kazooie will let it pass.]

Heck yeah! That sounds like it'd be awesome!

We should totally do that for the next big party Luceti puts on.

[And she's completely serious, too.]

I've got an even better idea. Maybe we could throw the next big party.

[C'mon. They might not be Pinkie Pie, but they've got some rad skills.]

[There are enough rad skills between both of them to be a sheer force of epic.]

Think they'd be up for it? Who else can handle our greatness?

[... The sheer fact Kazooie says "our" and not my means she holds Dash in pretty high esteem.

Of course, she ruins that a moment later.]

My awesome party planning might be wasted on dumb people who like stuffy gigs like that one Christmas thing!

Then what we've gotta do is make sure it's the opposite of stuffy. Loud music, tons of cool snacks, games, and all the best pranks. It'll be sweet!

[At least, she certainly hopes so.]
