Summary: IT'S A SUMMER PARTY
Rating: Worksafe, I reckon!
It's cold out there today, isn't it? Sure, it's not snowing but once you get into the Battle Dome, it'll be comfortably warmer. Warmer, not warm. Follow the tiny paper arrows and you'll probably find yourself in, well...summer!

It certainly looks convincing enough (a pool, a volleyball court, deck chairs, everything that you'd think you'd find at a pool party) and feels convincing enough (take off that coat! Aren't you hot?) so why not not step in? The barbecue's sizzling and there's some nice cold drinks at the cooler.

C'mon in, the water's awesome!

What is your favorite?

[She's looking up at him intently. Opportunity to learn about Sheik without looking too awkward? She'll take it.]

[Hmm. He has to think about that.] Nothing specific. I have become quite taken with Japanese style dishes, though.

[He's become very fond of it.] It is food from Tsuzuki and Hisoka's home.

Do they make it for you sometimes? I have not gotten to speak with either of them much, yet. Tsuzuki seems like a nice person, though.

[She leans towards him slightly while she's talking, though she's careful to not drip any ketchup on him.]

[He glances away, expression sad.] No. I... someone taught me to make it myself. If I do not wish to make any, Seventh Heaven serves some as well.

[Her smile fades. Did she remind him of someone that was gone, now? She sets her plate down, holding onto his arm quietly. She can't promise that she'll always be in Luceti, but she can offer an anchor for now.]

[He sets his own plate aside and wraps his arms around her. Don't be sad. It's not her fault.] It was Hijiri.

I see.

[She looks up at him.]

Don't despair. There must be a way to be able to go back and forth from this place. These partings do not have to be forever.

[Sheik shakes his head.] I don't want him to come back. Not without Duo. He was much too sad when Duo left.

[She just squeezes him lightly. What else is there to say? Luceti can be wonderful and allow you to see people that you never thought you'd be able to see again, but it's cruel, too.]

It is all right. I've come to accept that they both have gone back to their homes. What is important, is that I remember them.

[She pulls away so she can look at him.]

I'm sure that they remember you, too. In their hearts if not consciously.

I hope that is the case. [He smiles lightly at her.]

[She nods, turning back to finish her hamburger before it gets cold.]

Oh! Did you bring your lyre, by any chance?

I did. [He pulls it from the hook at his back. See?]

Would you mind playing it a little?

[This area makes her want to hear the serenade, but she doesn't want to be transported to the real beach outside. She'll just let Sheik pick.]

All right. [He seems just content to play something soft and light, for the surrounding atmosphere.]

[Zelda closes her eyes and rests her head on Sheik's shoulder, listening to the song and the hum of the happy people around them. It would be nice if things could always be like this.]

[He shifts a little, to make sure she's comfortable. Smiling a little, he continues playing for her.] Don't fall asleep. [Although he really wouldn't mind if she did.]

I won't...

[It's a lie, she already is. It's hard not to - it's warm here, she's comfortable, and the music and Sheik's presence are both extremely soothing.]

[Well, all right. He'll let her nap for a little while, and he'll keep playing his song. It's nice that she's here, even if she did drag him to some silly party.]
