Who: Everyone! New Feathers especially.
What: New Feather welcome party!
When: Thursday, 5 pm.
Where: Battle Dome
Summary: IT'S A SUMMER PARTY
Rating: Worksafe, I reckon!
It's cold out there today, isn't it? Sure, it's not snowing but once you get into the Battle Dome, it'll be comfortably warmer. Warmer, not warm. Follow the tiny paper arrows and you'll probably find yourself in, well...summer!

It certainly looks convincing enough (a pool, a volleyball court, deck chairs, everything that you'd think you'd find at a pool party) and feels convincing enough (take off that coat! Aren't you hot?) so why not not step in? The barbecue's sizzling and there's some nice cold drinks at the cooler.

C'mon in, the water's awesome!

Whipped cream? [INTRIGUED.] I've put marshmallows in it, but never whipped cream!

[Right, after this party, he is so going to the store, getting some whipped cream, and making the best hot chocolate ever.]

It's quite nice, a bit rich if you're also using milk, but quite divine. I also like melting peppermints into it for some extra flavor.

[Who makes awesome hot chocolate? Ginia makes awesome hot chocolate.]

Melted peppermints too? [Whipped cream, marshmallows, and melted peppermints. This is gonna be the best hot chocolate ever.] How do you melt them? Do you just put them in and the heat melts it like the marshmallows?

That's correct. It's best if you use a candy cane because you can use that to stir up the hot chocolate.
blessedbyfarore: (you got it)

Okay! Although can you still find those in the stores? Christmas was a whole month ago.

[And the amount they had bought had not lasted long in house 49.]

There might be a few around here and there. I think regular peppermint candy would be easier to find. I also know how to make peppermint candy.

[ :o ] Can you show me how on Monday?

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-02-04 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
I'll have to see if I have any peppermint extract left, but I don't see why not. It's quite simple.

Okay! Although if we can make our own candy, Tsuzuki will definitely want to know how.

Sure thing. I can also teach you how to make homemade fudge. I made a whole bunch for Christmas.
blessedbyfarore: (you got it)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2012-02-04 11:16 am (UTC)(link)
Okay! Is it really hard to do?

((OOC: I made fudge for Christmas too XD))
shadedsunlight: (Swear to shake it up)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-02-04 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
You have to be very precise and be careful not to curdle the milk or burn the chocolate, but once you know the basic recipe, other recipes with additional ingredients are easy.

((ooc; Yummy. XD))
blessedbyfarore: (um)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2012-02-05 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
Oh... that sounds kind of tricky. I've burnt things before.

((OOC: Although I did an easy version XD Want the recipe?))
shadedsunlight: (Everything will be all right)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2012-02-05 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
Don't worry, we'll work together on this.

((ooc; Sure!))
blessedbyfarore: (you got it)

Okay. Thanks, Ginia. [Hurrah, fudge for all!]

((OOC: Here! I excluded the walnuts, though, because the recipient doesn't like them. Also, I cut it into 25 pieces, not 36 - it may have been the tin I used, but 36 would have been tiny.))
