Luceti Town Meeting Cycle Year 5

Who: Everyone!
What: Town meeting
When: February 6th at 6 PM
Where: The school cafeteria
Summary: The village gets together for a town meeting. Let there be ideas, plans, and future festivities.
Rating:
With the help of some friends and friends of friends, the school cafeteria has been transformed into a meeting space. Rows of chairs and a few benches fill the space, providing adequate seating for whoever wishes to come to the meeting.

Along the back are some tables set with cookies, pastries, and tea, juice, and coffee for people to munch and sip on, before, during, and after the meeting

By the entrance is another table. On it sits a locked box with a slit on top, small sheets of blank paper, and a few pencils and pens. This is the message box, for anyone who wishes to express an idea or thought in an anonymous manner. The box will later be opened and all the messages inside will be read out loud by Ginia.

At the front sits a platform - one of the ones built for A Midsummer Night's Dream - with a table and chair resting on top. It's where Ginia will sit during the meeting, the extra height for the purpose of being able to see anyone who may be seated in the back row.

This is a smart proposal. The community building in the green sector isn't going to work well for what you want to do, though, especially in an emergency situation. [He jerks his thumb upwards.] You'd have to climb four flights of stairs to get the room you need.

Do you have any suggestions on suitable buildings in the green sector? I admit I'm not too familiar with that area.

I can see how it would be useful. I am glad that it's returned to you, and not only because it would be helpful. It must be distracting at the very least to be without something you've been connected to for most, if not all, of your adult life.

Honestly, there's not a lot out there. There's room to build if we wanted to go that route. But if that's too troublesome, it would make more sense to share a safehouse with a neighboring sector.

Well and busy. My cat, Sumire, gets into no end of trouble. I had to get on the roof to rescue her this morning. I have no idea how she got up there.

If we go from the northmost bridge up, they could group with the pink sector at the clinic. The rest could move to the rec center in the orange sector.

[Grune ambles in a fair bit before the start of the meeting. With Ginia running things, it's a safe assumption that some of that free food is courtesy of her (and thanks to the ever-watchful eye of Fenimore, it'll actually be quite good). She's not exactly going to be much help with any of the serious issues being raised, but by golly she's going to make people feel welcome.

Say hi to her anywhere, but especially around the refreshments. She'd love the company!]

Tanaka did ask the people who got the message to spread the word. It seems like his intent is to actually include people who don't have a cellphone, but who knows? He's going under an obvious alias, and doesn't give many details.

I thought it might be helpful to you is all. Maybe you can use it in conjunction with something else? Just a thought.

I think that would be a wise idea, no matter how this one goes. Just so everyone doesn't stay isolated in their own circles. [We're all guilty of that one.] We don't really act like a community here, unless we're forced to by circumstance. This would help change that a little.

She's a cat. Cat's have a talent for getting to places that they shouldn't be.

It'll take some extra coordination, but that'll work well. [He closes that with a nod, then leans back in his seat with his hands folded behind his head.] You can put me down to work that sector.

PRE-MEETING SOCIALIZING

[One will find the Devil Forgemaster leaning back against the wall near the door with one leg bent and his arms folded across his chest with an air of cool indifference. Of course, he soon tires of idleness and pleasantly preoccupies himself with sharpening the edge of his dagger on a rough stone not much larger than a bar of soap, the edge still crusted with blood from when he had plunged it into Trevor Belmont.

A smile tugs at his lips.

Of course, his business is not to be of assistance to anyone; why would it be? Rather, he wishes to eavesdrop so that he may know of what these men and women are plotting and see how he might be able to use such information to his advantage. While he hadn't been met with hostility upon setting foot into the room, he is certain the dear people of Luceti will very soon reveal their 'true' colours. They were all the same, in the end.]

You got me. I almost feel like I missed something. For all I know, I could've.

[He knows some Malnosso showed up to talk about missions, but he didn't even bother talking to the guy - he hates talking to the Malnosso when he doesn't have to, especially after everything they've put him through. Aside from that ... hmm.]

Could just be a lot of stressed out people gathering in the same place, giving off a tense vibe.
