Who: Everyone!
What: Town meeting
When: February 6th at 6 PM
Where: The school cafeteria
Summary: The village gets together for a town meeting. Let there be ideas, plans, and future festivities.
Rating:
With the help of some friends and friends of friends, the school cafeteria has been transformed into a meeting space. Rows of chairs and a few benches fill the space, providing adequate seating for whoever wishes to come to the meeting.

Along the back are some tables set with cookies, pastries, and tea, juice, and coffee for people to munch and sip on, before, during, and after the meeting

By the entrance is another table. On it sits a locked box with a slit on top, small sheets of blank paper, and a few pencils and pens. This is the message box, for anyone who wishes to express an idea or thought in an anonymous manner. The box will later be opened and all the messages inside will be read out loud by Ginia.

At the front sits a platform - one of the ones built for A Midsummer Night's Dream - with a table and chair resting on top. It's where Ginia will sit during the meeting, the extra height for the purpose of being able to see anyone who may be seated in the back row.

Depends - if it's an artifact or something like that, no way. If you mean biological samples of stuff down there, you can help yourself.

[Luckily for Haruhi, he's more worried about the latter than the former, though it's not as if artifacts don't pique his interest... however, he'd rather they be studied by someone more competent, if that's available.]

... I f-find those terms... s-satisfactory...

[After a moment:] ... Will the i-information gleaned be... a-available in some form l-later? Obviously, publishing via the j-journals would be... f-foolhardy, given the nature of the... data involved... b-but, er, perhaps some method of... d-distribution...

Oh, yes, it's so nice to see everyone. [Because she doesn't visit half the room on a regular basis or anything.]

[In complete contrast to Robert, Grune is in her element. There's lots of people to see and talk to--but at some point, she'll notice one of her very shyest friends standing alone. She can't leave matters like that, and so she'll approach with a somewhat gentler smile than usual.]

Hello, Robert. I'm glad you could come.

[She nods, gesturing to her own plate.]

Oatmeal and chocolate chip. I'm not the most kitchen-wise person out there, but they're simple enough to make.

G-Grune-san, hello! [Just a sec, her voice has gone all croaky from talking quietly to herself for so long. Ahem!] It is, a lot of people turned up today. Fuuko is getting a little nervous.

[Seeing as she'll be talking to the entire room later on and all. Heaving a big sigh and flashing Grune a quick smile.]

You're going to hurt yourself instead of the door if you keep climbing in like that. [and you get bootmarks on the sills. she does not approve.]

[Estelle speaks up after looking at the proposed map...]

One issue I see with the current proposal is that the yellow sector has two community housing buildings. Would there be enough space for all those residents in the school?

Still, Robert's head snaps up when he's addressed - especially by that familiar voice. His wings rustle under his lab coat, but he manages a harried little smile.]

... Hello, Grune...

... Th-there, er... are a lot of people here, I see...

[Robert is definitely not the public speaking type. Especially not in front of a crowd of this size, without a screen to hide himself behind... That's not even going to happen.

And so he writes. His writing is clear, clean, neat, and most obviously not in pencil. The paper itself, clean-edged, unrumpled and looking almost as if it was printed rather than hand-written, is neatly folded once.]

I can handle furniture just fine. I mean, ponies where I'm from live pretty much like you hue-mans.

[She shrugs, bringing a hoof to her chin.]

But doorknobs are a pain. Almost all the doors in Equestria have handles, but it's hard to wrap my hooves around a knob, since I don't have fingers.

Hey, no problem. I think the biggest thing for me would just be handles instead of doorknobs. I can fly, and I can reach most doors without too much trouble.

[But... lack of fingers makes it hard to twist it. She'd have to latch onto it with her wrist or something.]

Don't wanna trouble you guys or anything, but since Luceti brings in all kinds of people, I figured it'd be good to mention.

I wouldn't call it a trouble at all. It may make take a bit of time to find appropriate doorknobs to replace the existing ones with, but it's a minor and easy adjustment.
