Let winter go out with a bang
Who: Everyone who wants to join in!
What: Snow Sculpture Competition
When: Early afternoon around 11am-6pm
Where: Just outside the town square
Summary: Snow sculpture competition! How good are your skills?
Rating: PG
If anyone is walking by today past the outer edges of the town they'll notice large snow pillars holding up a banner. Its white with dark blue letters painted on it that say "Luceti's first Snow Sculpture Competition!" Beyond said pillars is an open space large enough for numerous people to gather around and make things to their hearts content. Off to the side will be tons of tables set-up holding hot beverages and foods and the like to keep the cold out and everyone energized as they work on their sculptures.
A simple, fun, little competition to make use of all the snow they've gotten this year. And who knows it might end up in more than just a competition (a snowball fight perhaps?) anything is possible in Luceti after all.

Helios! How could I not come and support my housemate in such a festive endeavor?
no subject
Oh! Ah, c-can I get you anything? Hot tea, chocolate, cider perhaps? Or coffee.
no subject
[It wasn't that windy, compared to what she was used to, even if she has to smooth curls out of her face every five minuets when she's not settled by the trees. Still the weather is no deterrent and, well. It was important to Helios, so she would support him.]
A coffee would be wonderful Helios. I honestly do not understand you and Ginia's fascination with all things sweet.
no subject
One coffee coming up! [ He'll close his palm and the fire will extinguish itself immediately. Helios will turn back to the table and fill up a cup of hot coffee for Adele and a sweet cup of tea for himself. ] Oh but it's amazing. So delicious too! I suppose it's a person's preference though. [ A smile. ]
no subject
The coffee she takes with a smile and nod, sipping the strong, rich beverage with a soft sigh.] I can enjoy sweet things now and again, but for the most part? I prefer my coffee bitter.
no subject
[ With that he sips some of his own. ] I've never acquired a taste for coffee I admit. But maybe I could try to get used to it here. What's one more experience under the belt, hm?
no subject
It is something you learn to enjoy over time. If you do not care for it on it's own, I will see if I cannot find an espresso machine and make you a variation that you will find agreeable. Cooking and baking is beyond me, but coffee? This and tea I can do well.

Feel free to talk, but he won't engage if you try to get him into a snowball fight. He's still sore from that ring fight from the other night, but he can't just keep himself inside on a day like this.]
no subject
I believe I told you bed rest, Lupin. [She slows to a stop, arms crossed, glaring down at the bandaged and bruised man.]
no subject
It was probably best not to tell her that this wasn't his first time out and about.]
This is resting, Dellie. What, did you expect me to stay cooped up the the next couple of weeks with nary a bit of entertainment besides a few books that people bring me? [He wasn't in the right condition to go scouring Fujiko's room for any traps that he may have missed to rest up on the 8th level of the community house, nor did he think it was smart to drag down her tv. This was his idea of reasonable.]
no subject
[This, she just, she cannot articulate how foolish and frustrating this man is in words. It is entirely beyond her. In lieu of saying anything else she reaches back and down and brings her hand back up in a sharp, short slap upside the head. At least that is her intent.] You are an idiot. An absolute idiot, do you understand me? Bed rest. It means resting in bed if you need entertainment call me. I will read to you, play something for you, or even throw snowballs at random passers by while and record the fallout for you just. So long as you stay. In. Bed.
[Since he won't though. Now or ever, she sighs and shakes her head at him.] You. You are going to be the death of me. I know it.
no subject
[There's a wry smile, though. Her concern, though amusing, is appreciated.] I won't be the death of you. We both know that. Are you sure you're not a back alley doctor? You are way too perceptive sometimes!
no subject
Cunning men and Noble men are the death of any good, or even not so good, Frenchwoman Lupin. [And unfortunately for her that makes up the entirety of the men in her social circle...and that back alley doctor almost makes her flinch. Almost. Instead she sighs and turns to settle next to Lupin in the snow.]
I have to be perceptive. People lie about how they are wounded, where they are wounded, or what their illness might be. So you either take them at their word and do a shit job, or you learn to read what they're not saying.
no subject
be cunning. He was good at that.] I'll try not to get anyone killed, if that's your concern. And the lies? People in my profession generally don't like doctors. They're a good ticket to imprisonment, especially since they are legally and ethically obligated to report any violent injuries.
[It was why he had his gunshot wounds treated by good samaritans and not proper doctors. He didn't want to recover in a jail cell, even if he could work his way out.]
no subject
I am more than aware of how people in your profession view doctors, Lupin. Especially since they were kind enough to help me pay off several debts and teach me to shoot once they realized that yes, I would treat them, and no, I would not turn them in. [It...wouldn't hurt for Lupin to know that much about her. Not really.]

Sabotaging? What's that? /whistles
This may not be the typical kind of minigame, but she's certain she can do this. It's not the first snow-related thing she's had to do, or even be. After inhabiting the form of a snowball for awhile? She doubts many people can top her on that one.
Feel free to catch her here, sizing everybody up with her Amaze-O-Gaze goggles.]

Helios has good ideas, too, just like Ginia!]
[During the Competition]
There's also two separate divisions: Magic and Non-Magic. ]
[Magic - Mercury] Anyone welcome to help/stop by
She starts simple, like a sculptor starting from a plain block of marble or clay. Then she stares it for quite some time, without doing anything, as she considers precisely what to make.]
[Probably Non-Magic? Because Ice Eggs would suck for this] | Open to all the things!
Her broad wings and cartoony resilience means that she's having no trouble shaping her snow Breegull. After flexing her creative muscles with Eggman, she's looking forward to wowing everybody with her
totally egotisticalawe-inspiring sculpture of nothing less than herself.... Want to gawk? Roll your eyes at it? Screw her over by kicking it down? Have at!]
