Who: Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Arsene Lupin III, Ami Mizuno, Adele Leblanc, Leonardo, Gambit, and anyone else who has the desire to show up.
What: Star Wars Movie Marathon
When: February 21st to whenever its done
Where: Luke and Ben's place
Summary: Luke and Ben have decided to just end the constant cycle of confusion and actually WATCH the Star Wars movies. There is soda (gasp!) popcorn, canned tea, and all sorts of other movie related nonsense.
Rating: PG, same as the movies (Could get PG13? doubtful)

Cue Scrolling Text and kick off the party?

[Well the guests have all seemed to arrived, and people seem to be getting anxious to start, so Luke walks over to the TV and pops in a DVD. As it spools up, he turns around and addresses the people who'd all shown up]

Well, we're starting up the movies now. Thank you all for coming. I know Obi-Wan and I appreciate having friends around. We're not sure exactly whats on these films, but if what we've heard is any indication, it should be fun.

[Adele is content to curl up in a blanket on one of the cushier looking sofas, mug of coffee in one hand. For the most part she's settled into a calmer, more positive mood, any anxiety caused by the floor she's on entirely negated by the company available. Surrounded by friends and acquaintances, she lets herself enjoy a little peace of mind for the duration of the movie.]

[Lupin is also on the sofa, lounging languidly with a mug of coffee in hand. It was nice, chilling with a bunch of people, but he had more than a few thoughts about the movie...]

...I can't believe they went with CG. It's gotten much nicer since Tron, but I liked the animatronics!

They felt more grounded, yes? It seems too stiff and wooden, with the CG.

[And here we find Obi-Wan, sitting beside her and watching the opening credits attentively.

... And the opening music. My. How blaring.]

[Every once and awhile she peeks over to Ben, gauging his reaction to the film. How accurate it was, how grating he found the writing, or...how it might distress him to watch his master die again.]

[At first, he does not react, aside from perhaps a slight softening of the eyes at his conversation with Qui-Gon, until one scene...

The scene that breaks his resolve, that draws a narrowing of the eyes and a hard frown...

The scene so horrifying, even the hardened Jedi Master could not bear to see what it contained...

[For all his own curiosity, Luke is almost as intrigued by how Obi-Wan will react. He really has no idea what is about to happen, save for that it will involve his old friend in his youth, and that somehow it will lead into the Clone Wars. The scrolling text and blaring music are drowned out by his own thoughts.

When a much younger version of Kenobi appears on the screen, Luke's eyes flicker momentarily over to Ben to see if there is any reaction. From time to time, he checks back, definitely curious...until finally the other Jedi does react.

It doesn't take Luke very long to realize why. He'd encountered VERY few Gungans in his travels, and there had been rumors that Palpatine had slaughtered the race during the Imperial Consolidation. But this...creature. Binks...was INCREDIBLY irritating]

I can see why you disliked that Gungan, Ben.

"I did not... dislike him. I simply found his lack of self-control and moderation to be... distracting."

[And perhaps he could have done with a muzzle.

No. No, he did not deserve to be muzzled. Jar-Jar, for all of his faults, was an honest, well-meaning individual, and he would have gone to great lengths to aid Obi-Wan if he had asked it. He should honor and respect that.]

[Gambit manages to behave himself through the beginning of the movie. Honestly. But you can't expect that to last. About halfway through, waiting with impeccable sense of Horrible Timing for a quiet moment, he goes for the kill.

And by "kill" we mean, poking Adele right in the ticklish spot on her side.

And then acting like he hasn't done a thing.]

[Doubly distracted by the film, and Ben's reaction to said film, Adele doesn't notice the growing mischief in Remy's eyes. She is utterly vulnerable because, well. She forgot that Remy is Remy.

So when the poke comes she's unprepared. And a sharp, bright laugh is pulled from her. She clamps a hand over her mouth, turns to glare at Remy, and scooches an inch in the other direction. She drops her hand to mouth one word. Eyebrows.]

In which Luke has a dork moment!

[During the film, Luke actually remains fairly quiet, not speaking to anyone in particular. His eyes are focused, almost as though he's reading a history book. He had, of course, heard of Qui-Gon from Obi-Wan, but he had no idea how curious the man had been.

The first scene in particular that get a reaction from him is when R2-D2 first appears, rolling merrily along.]

Is...that Artoo? Really?!

Where did you think they came from? [Soft and not unkind. Just curious, her voice pitched so Luke could hear from where Adele was curled up on the sofa. Avoiding tickling from Gambit and Glares from Lupin.]

Honestly? I thought R2 came from a droid factory on Balmorra. I...had no idea he was from Naboo. [That and from an escape pod in the sky...but his attention is diverted by a certain young child appearing on the screen. He knows who it's supposed to be...and that freezes him mid-thought...]

[ Helios will be watching all these movies with the same sort of curious edge and rapt attention. It's the first time in a very long while that he's seen a movie okay? He's thrilled and honestly intrigued about all this. So many different things to mull over. For example those light sabers and the force. Tatoonie and Naboo. So many worlds out there to see, if they were truly real. This movie made it all look very real. It's all so very intriguing too. So yes you can have a headmaster watching with lots of attention and lots of genuine interest because this is pretty fantastic.

Though there is a part of him worried for the two people whose lives this shows. Especially towards the end, mainly towards the end of the film. ] Those lightsabers...they're quite fantastic. I-I've never seen anything like. And...the force. Some sort of innate ability I'd imagine...

[ He is totally muttering to himself. He must ask about these things when the movies are over because they are of interest and Helios is, as always, curious about the cultural aspects and beings involved on these planets. Why did all of you let him stay? He will never stop asking questions now. ]

...You are not allowed to try to build a lightsaber Helios.

[ But Adelllle Helios wants to try to make his own lightsaber. Helios will blink and then laugh at that. He'd never, honest... ] It looks a bit too complicated for even me. But that would be something...wouldn't it? I-I mean there's always the magical derivative to this sort of thing...

It wouldn't be exact but I bet I could get it very close and... [ No. He is not going to build a lightsaber. Maybe. Not. He kinda wants to try now. ]

[Beast... will just be staring in awe... no, amazement... sheer mindboggled amazement... at the screen. N-never mind what's happening, there are pictures... real, live pictures... and they are moving. How... how are they doing that? Where... this can't be a giant magnifying glass... i-is it like how the journals work, how you can see the other person? Like his mirror? How... why is no one else amazed by this?!

Y-yes, um... there's nothing else for him to do but stare and be downright confused until someone consoles him.]

Beast, are you alright? Do they not have films where you are from?

F-film? [He completely forgot that was what Obi-Wan was talking about.] That... th-this is a film?

[Adele peeks over to Beast during the beginning of the movie, just to check on him. She didn't think anyone had shown him movies, but now she was certain.] It is amazing, no?

It... [Still gaping.] I-it's impossible!
