Who: Everyone. New Feathers! Old Feathers...?
What: New Feather welcome party.
When: 18th, 6 pm onwards.
Where: Welcome Centre.
Summary: This is a party. There's food and games (if you like) but the idea behind it is basically to mingle mingle mingle. Maybe make a new friend/enemy/frenemy or two?
Rating: G-PG 13 at most? There might be kids in these things, man.

The all-day rain outside makes the entire atmosphere a little drippy, a little wet, a little miserable. But rain or not, the party must go on! Or at least, so the saying goes.

It's a cosy little setup-- food, warm drinks, tables and chairs to lounge around in. So come on in, dry yourself off, have some fun. Why the hell not? The weather outside is frightful.

[Unfortunately, keeping your eyes on the crowd makes it very hard to notice Cheagles. Mieu is out and about in the crowd, and he's not too far from Relius when he starts to talk to himself. Being naturally concerned about that, the unassuming animal walks closer and looks up at him. He only looks kind of scary, but then again, a lot of people in Luceti look scary to him.]

Are you okay?

[ It took Relius a moment to realize he was being spoken to but once he did, the puppeteer fell silent. 'Just what in the world is that thing', he wondered quietly. It looked cross between a mouse and a rabbit in his opinion, like some sort of beastkin. Keeping his gaze focused on the peculiar creature, Relius unwillingly answered it. ]

Quite well, I can assure you.

[Oh, good, he's okay. Mieu will walk a little bit closer and introduce himself, then! This guy is probably new, too, so the Cheagle is just going to assume he needs friends.]

Are you new like me? My name's Mieu! What's yours?

[ Is he really talking with this odd mouse creature? This is ridiculous. Why is he talking to this thing? Relius couldn't even figure out what it was but it seemed to possess a juvenile mastery of the English language, which hints this creature is intelligent despite its appearance.

...Odd.

Maybe this creature is a beast kin of some kind. Relius is literally drawing blanks here, so he'll stick with the "beast kin" notion until further notice. ]

I take it that mostly everyone at this celebration are newcomers. What do they call us again? "New Feathers?" Yes, I believe that's the term.

As for my name, I'm none other than Relius Clover and I suppose it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mieu.

[Mieu, naturally, is quite unaware that he's being appraised so seriously, so he uses his sorceror's ring to just fly onto the table nearest Relius so that he can see him better. His ears flap really hard so that he can make it! Once he's landed, he adjusts the ring around his belly and turns around.]

That's right! This is the New Feather party. It's my first time at a party like this. Isn't it exciting?

[ Naturally, he couldn't help but eye the creature with a sense of "awe" as it came nearer. It was such an odd little thing, somewhat cute in an odd sense. Although, be damned if he admitted ever in words that he finds Mieu to be rather adorable. ]

Exciting? Well, not particularly. I find such elaborate celebrations to be rather dull at best. However, I suppose this isn't too boring.

[Mieu is very unaware of how adorable he is, even! He's just really excited to be talking to someone and making friends. Maybe Relius will be his friend, that would be so cool! Then he could share apple gels with him!]

Oh. That's because you've been to a lot of parties, right? Are they all like this?

[ Almost tempted to reach over to pet little Mieu, Relius restrains himself from doing so for the sake of preserving his dignity. ]

Why yes, for the most part they are. However, I do believe that whoever decided to host this little soiree might have done so a tad too hastily.

Soiree? [Mieu repeats the world, tilting his head ever-so-slightly.] I thought that this was a party. Was I wrong?

[ Well, isn't that cute? The little creature seems to have a limited mastery over the English language. Poor thing, Relius shall assist in broadening Mieu's vocabulary. ]

No, you are correct. A soiree is a party.

[But it's not his fault! Soiree is a fancy word, and he's from a forest. Either way, he's going to start using that word.]

Oh, then I really, really like soirees! Do you go to a lot of soirees?

[ Mieu actually won a few chuckles from Relius. The darling creature seemed to be rather fond of the word "soiree" now. However, maybe just a tad too fond of it. ]

No, I honestly do not partake within many celebrations. I tend to find more enjoyment organizing my bookshelf than socializing with others.

[Mieu's ears wiggled a little at getting laughs. He wasn't sure what they were about, so he laughed, too.]

I've seen some really big bookshelves before. That must take a lot of work! What kind of books do you like to read?
