Who: Everyone. New Feathers! Old Feathers...?
What: New Feather welcome party.
When: 18th, 6 pm onwards.
Where: Welcome Centre.
Summary: This is a party. There's food and games (if you like) but the idea behind it is basically to mingle mingle mingle. Maybe make a new friend/enemy/frenemy or two?
Rating: G-PG 13 at most? There might be kids in these things, man.

The all-day rain outside makes the entire atmosphere a little drippy, a little wet, a little miserable. But rain or not, the party must go on! Or at least, so the saying goes.

It's a cosy little setup-- food, warm drinks, tables and chairs to lounge around in. So come on in, dry yourself off, have some fun. Why the hell not? The weather outside is frightful.

[He looks up with a smile. Ahh, it's the woman who sounds Orlesian!] Sure is! Isn't she a beauty?

And...Madam...LeBlanc, isn't that right? It's nice to meet you in person.

Playing the mysterious inquisitor does get dull after awhile, does it not? [A slow shake of her head.]

Varric it is, then, so long as you call me Adele in turn.

It depends n what it is you wish to do for your stay here. There are pirates, heros, villains, detectives, thieves, Jedi, wizards, healers, knights, riflemen and naval men. We've a little of everything in the village. As for the mix, well. You I did not see anyone even remotely similar last cycle, nor these...brightly colored ponies. Or- [The three men she'd met not two days ago.] Others.

[Varric's face falls briefly when she mentions he's the only actual dwarf, but lights up with anticipation as he listens to her next words.]

....That is quite the bunch. [What is a "Jedi?" He must find out!]

So, yes, I suppose the next order of business is to decide what I actually want to do here.

You've a flair for the dramatic, and we've many that are bored. Do as you do. Weave tales, ask questions. Write. Many fascinating individuals and relationships occur here that would never have happened if not for this place. Someone may as well chronicle them all and you seem just about...nosy. Enough. To manage it.

[He chuckles.] Oh please, you're making me all tingly. Now I want to know everything about everyone.

But, nosy? [Oh wait nevermind, she's actually right on the money. Still,] I prefer the term curious.

I suppose you prefer 'verbose' to 'excessively talkative' and 'straightforward' to 'tactless' as well.

I think you'll find I always prefer the more favorable options.

Any narrator worth their salt tends to do the same.

[Ancestors, Adele, stop buttering him up you're making him blush !!]

[It's a well known fact: Keep the narrator happy? You end up portrayed in a positive light. She's hedging her bets just a little here.]

A LeBlanc does not engage in idle flattery, Varric. We compliment things as we see them, and what we state is a fact.

[Ohh he is so having fun with her right now.]

Is that right? So if you said, "The sky is green." It would happen? That's not a half-bad power to have.

We compliment things as we see them. The sky is not, in fact, green; nor is it particularly noteworthy or deserving of a compliment. Now should the sky ever do something remarkable or otherwise worthy of a compliment, then I might. And then it would be true.
