Who: Everyone. New Feathers! Old Feathers...?
What: New Feather welcome party.
When: 18th, 6 pm onwards.
Where: Welcome Centre.
Summary: This is a party. There's food and games (if you like) but the idea behind it is basically to mingle mingle mingle. Maybe make a new friend/enemy/frenemy or two?
Rating: G-PG 13 at most? There might be kids in these things, man.

The all-day rain outside makes the entire atmosphere a little drippy, a little wet, a little miserable. But rain or not, the party must go on! Or at least, so the saying goes.

It's a cosy little setup-- food, warm drinks, tables and chairs to lounge around in. So come on in, dry yourself off, have some fun. Why the hell not? The weather outside is frightful.

Doing okay so far? This place can take a little getting used to n' stuff.

Beats me. Why those creepy scientists decided we needed wings is anyone's guess! They could have at least not made these dumb things so...sensitive. Even bumping them a little bit hurts like, super bad...!

Yeah, I tried plucking a feather just to see what would happen, and it's like getting your hair pulled!

Man, it's not even like we can fly with these things either.

Omigosh, like, I know, right?! It totally sucks!

And they even put holes in my favorite shirt so it'd fit with these stupid things! Not only are these scientists total creepos, but it's like, hello? Inconsiderate much?

[Because this is clearly the worst thing about the whole situation.]

Yeah! I didn't want to cut up my favorite shirt either! Aw man I spent the first day walking around shirtless, though.

[He hopes. HE HOPES that this intrigues this pretty girl here.]

Don't worry too much about that! I think most of the guys who show up here do. And at least you showed up when it was getting warmer. When I got here they dumped me in the snow. Blegh. I thought I was gonna like, freeze to death!

[Groose chuckles at his own ego.]

But man, that's too bad you were dumped in the snow!

We don't get too much snow where I'm from, but man it can get cold!

We get snow where back home, but it always gets cleared away before we can do anything fun with it.

I'm from Skyloft. It's this place up in the sky above the clouds, where we ride around on our birds called Loftwings.

That's so COOL~! Like something out of a storybook~! What is it like?! Is it different than living on the ground?! Omigosh, what am I saying, sky and ground are like opposites or something, of course it was probably different...

[She's gonna keep chattering at him in a burst of childish glee until he stops her, should he choose to.]

[Groose is actually kind of amused by this. He likes impressing pretty girls, so he's going to play up the sky part as much as he can.]

Heh. I guess you could say it's different from the ground. It's way, way up, beyond the clouds...

[He raises his hand to demonstrate.]

But I mean, it's kinda like the surface... There's grass 'n stuff, and trees. But all the birds on the surface are really small, it's weird. I'm used to them being all big.

So it's like the ground but in the sky...

[One can almost hear the gears in her head turning as she thinks about that. She quickly turns her thoughts to what he said about birds and imagines the biggest bird she's ever seen.]

Big birds, huh? Like...um...

[She spreads her hands about two feet apart or so.]

[Groose chuckles at her small estimate of the size of the birds.]

Ha ha! Nope, they're much bigger than that! Much bigger than me, in fact, so that you can ride 'em around.

[He's gonna have to give her a second here. Along with the sky thing, she's in kind of an awe overload here.]

[He does give her a second to soak in all of the awesomeness of Groose and his homeland. He enjoys it. He enjoys being wanted and superior.]

Ugh, it sounds so much cooler than where I'm from. ...Then again, a lot of the places people around here from are.

Oh yeah? Well I bet not many of them can say they're from the sky like me!

Er uh, what is your home like?

Oh! Um...Aw, golly, I never know where to start when people ask about my world. There are lots of places there I don't know much about but, I'll try.

Well, you probably know by now that I live on the ground. And the city I live in isn't all that big. Like, less than 7000 people last I heard. Nowhere near as big as some places. It's not all that interesting, if you ask me.

Whoa! Seven thousand people?!

[Groose grows wide-eyed at that astonishing number. Seeing as Skyloft has a population of like thirty people.]

That's a whole lot!

I-Is it? Like I said, it's pretty small compared to some cities. Like, um...
Oh! Paris! There's like, two million people there. And that's not even the biggest one!

T-T-TWO MILLION?!

[Groose is needless to say, very surprised. He didn't think it was possible for that many people to exist at once.]

AND THERE ARE BIGGER CITIES?

[She blinks. She wasn't expecting that extreme of a reaction.]

Uh...W-Well, yeah. I mean, that's like, not even a tiny fraction of how many people there are back home. It's a pretty big place. Most people don't even see most of the world back home. Just a teeny bit of it.
