Who: Everyone. New Feathers! Old Feathers...?
What: New Feather welcome party.
When: 18th, 6 pm onwards.
Where: Welcome Centre.
Summary: This is a party. There's food and games (if you like) but the idea behind it is basically to mingle mingle mingle. Maybe make a new friend/enemy/frenemy or two?
Rating: G-PG 13 at most? There might be kids in these things, man.

The all-day rain outside makes the entire atmosphere a little drippy, a little wet, a little miserable. But rain or not, the party must go on! Or at least, so the saying goes.

It's a cosy little setup-- food, warm drinks, tables and chairs to lounge around in. So come on in, dry yourself off, have some fun. Why the hell not? The weather outside is frightful.

[Okay, here goes! Rapunzel rolls a pair of twos and ends up with one more on her next roll.]

[Aha! So this is where the strategy comes into play.]

[Rapunzel has a steady bout of beginner's luck, and does pretty well for herself as she rolls. Though she's yet to get the coveted Yahtzee. She doesn't pay much attention to points, though--she's having fun, and that's what matters most!]

[Minato is playing a little more strategically, but he doesn't want to upset Rapunzel by being too competitive. ...Not that you can really be too competitive at Yahtzee, since so much is luck.

Eventually, though, they're down to their last slots - the Yahtzee slot. If either of them manages it, it will be the difference between winning and losing.]

[gleamed]

[Alright, this is it! The moment of truth. Rapunzel scoops up the dice and rolls, an intense look in her face. Two fives, two ones, and a three. She'll hold the fives--but her next rolls don't bring her any more.

Now to just...wait and see if Minato gets it. She watches him intently as she passes the dice.]

[And he rolls his. Three fours... He holds those, and rolls the last two. Another four... and...

Nope. No dice.]

That's it.

[gleamed]

[Rapunzel counts up her score card. Okay, let's see what she's got here...]

...Two hundred and forty points! How did you do?

Two hundred thirty. Looks like you win.

[She won. She...won?

She won!]

Yes! That's right, I--

[Ahem. That's not proper behavior, Rapunzel. She composes herself.] Um...good game.

[...He can't help but be amused at how excited she looks.] Good game.

[gleamed]

That was a lot of fun! Do you play many games, Minato?

[Because she would so love to learn more games.]

I know a few. What about you?

[gleamed]

Well, my mother taught me chess, and I've played that quite a bit. But most of the games I play I made up with Pascal.

[She'll point to the green chameleon nestled on the top of her head.]

[oh wow, he's cute. Minato gives a small sort-of smile at him.]

Made-up games can be the best kind.

[gleamed]

[Yeah, yeah. Pascal gives Minato an acknowledging nod. Rapunzel seems to be enjoying herself, so he's satisfied.]

Oh, yes? Do you have any made-up games you like to play?

[emp3thy]

[hmm...] I can't really remember any.

[gleamed]

[She thinks on her own for a moment.]

Well, I think Pascal's favorite game we played was Catch the Bug.

[emp3thy]

[yeah he can see that...]

He won a lot?

[gleamed]

Most of the time. But when I caught the bug, I got to let it go free outside.

[Pascal would...well. Eat it mercilessly.]

That's kind of you. [unlike your reptile friend.]

[gleamed]

I know that they're probably happier outside where they can be free. [Not unlike herself, really.]

Probably. It's where they're supposed to be.

[gleamed]

It's where Pascal is supposed to be, too, but he's more of an 'indoor' chameleon.

[Probably doesn't help that Rapunzel's spoiled him rotten.]
